1Lectin receptor kinase OsLecRK-S.7 is required for pollen development and male fertility显示文摘Pollen grains are covered by exine that protects the pollen from stress and facilitates pollination.Here we isolated a male sterile mutant s13283 in rice exhibiting aborted pollen with abnormal exine and defective aperture.The mutant gene encodes a novel plasma membrane-localized legume-lectin receptor kinase that we named OsLecRK-S.7.OsLecRK-S.7 was expressed at different levels in all tested tissues and throughout anther development.In vitro kinase assay showed OsLecRK-S.7 capable of autophosporylation.Mutation in s13283(E560K)and mutation of the conserved ATP binding site(K418E)both knocked out the kinase activity.Mass spectrometry showed Thr376,Ser378,Thr386,Thr403,and Thr657 to be the autophosphorylation sites.Mutation of individual autophosphorylation site affected the in vitro kinase activity to different degrees,but did not abolish the gene function in fertility complementation.oslecrk-s.7 mutant plant overexpressing OsLecRK-S.7 recovered male fertility but showed severe growth retardation with reduced number of tillers,and these phenotypes were abolished by E560K or K418E mutation.The results indicated that OsLecRK-S.7 was a key regulator of pollen development.Xiaoqun Peng Menglong Wang Yiqi Li Wei Yan Zhenyi Chang Zhufeng Chen Chunjue Xu Chengwei Yang Xing Wang Deng Jianxin Wu Xiaoyan Tang 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,8:4

6RIFLE:a Phase II trial of stereotactic ablative radiotherapy combined with fruquintinib and tislelizumab in metastatic colorectal cancer显示文摘Background:Currently,the prognosis for metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC)still remains poor.The management of mCRC has become manifold because of the varied advances in the systemic and topical treatment approaches.For patients with limited number of metastases,radical local therapy plus systemic therapy can be a good choice to achieve long-term tumor control.In this study,we aimed to explore the efficacy and safety of the combination of fruquintinib,tislelizumab,and stereotactic ablative radiotherapy(SABR)in mCRC(RIFLE study).Methods:RIFLE was designed as a single-center,single-arm,prospective Phase II clinical trial.A total of 68 mCRC patients who have failed the first-line standard treatment will be recruited in the safety run-in phase(n=6)and the expansion phase(n=62),respectively.Eligible patients will receive SABR followed by fruquintinib(5 mg,d1–14,once every day)and tislelizumab(200 mg,d1,once every 3 weeks)within 2 weeks from completion of radiation.The expansion phase starts when the safety of the treatment is determined(dose limiting toxicity occur in no more than one-sixth of patients in the run-in phase).The primary end point is the objective response rate.The secondary end points include the disease control rate,duration of response,3-year progression-free survival rate,3-year overall survival rate,and toxicity.Conclusions:The results of this trial will provide a novel insight into SABR in combination with PD-1 antibody and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor inhibitor in the systematic treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer,which is expected to provide new therapeutic strategies and improve the prognosis for mCRC patients.Trial registration:NCT04948034(ClinicalTrials.gov).Kun Wang Yajie Chen Zhiyuan Zhang Ruiyan Wu Menglong Zhou Wang Yang Juefeng Wan Lijun Shen Hui Zhang Yan Wang Xu Han Jiazhou Wang Zhen Zhang Fan Xia 2023Gastroenterology Report2023,11,1:0
7Thermally insulating and fire-retardant bio-mimic structural composites with a negative Poisson's ratio for battery protection显示文摘Battery safety has attracted considerable attention worldwide due to the rapid development of wearable electronics and the steady increase in the production and use of electric vehicles.As battery failures are often associated with mechanical-thermal coupled behaviors,protective shielding materials with excellent mechanical robustness and flame-retardant properties are highly desired to mitigate thermal runaway.However,most of the thermal insulating materials are not strong enough to protect batteries from mechanical abuse,which is one of the most critical scenarios with catastrophic consequences.Here,inspired by wood,we have developed an effective approach to engineer a hierarchical nanocomposite via self-assembly of calcium silicate hydrate and polyvinyl alcohol polymer chains(referred as CSH wood).The versatile protective material CSH wood demonstrates an unprecedented combination of light weight(0.018 g cm-3),high stiffness(204 MPa in the axial direction),negative Poisson's ratio(-0.15),remarkable toughness(6.67×105 J m-3),superior thermal insulation(0.0204 W m-1 K-1 in the radial direction),and excellent fire retardancy(UL94-V0).When applied as a protective cover or a protective layer within battery packages,the tough CSH wood can resist high-impact load and block heat diffusion to block or delay the spread of fire,therefore significantly reducing the risk of property damage or bodily injuries caused by battery explosions.This work provides new pathways for fabricating advanced thermal insulating materials with large scalability and demonstrates great potential for the protection of electronic devices.Fengyin Du Zuquan Jin Ruizhe Yang Menglong Hao Jiawei Wang Gang Xu Wenqiang Zuo Zifan Geng Hao Pan Tian Li Wei Zhang Wei She 2023Carbon Energy2023,5,12:0

10Enhancing the Trustworthiness of 6G Based on Trusted Multi-Cloud Infrastructure:A Practice of Cryptography Approach显示文摘Due to the need for massive device connectivity,low communication latency,and various customizations in 6G architecture,a distributed cloud deployment approach will be more relevant to the space-air-ground-sea integrated network scenario.However,the openness and heterogeneity of the 6G network cause the problems of network security.To improve the trustworthiness of 6G networks,we propose a trusted computing-based approach for establishing trust relationships inmulti-cloud scenarios.The proposed method shows the relationship of trust based on dual-level verification.It separates the trustworthy states of multiple complex cloud units in 6G architecture into the state within and between cloud units.Firstly,SM3 algorithm establishes the chain of trust for the system’s trusted boot phase.Then,the remote attestation server(RAS)of distributed cloud units verifies the physical servers.Meanwhile,the physical servers use a ring approach to verify the cloud servers.Eventually,the centralized RAS takes one-time authentication to the critical evidence information of distributed cloud unit servers.Simultaneously,the centralized RAS also verifies the evidence of distributed RAS.We establish our proposed approach in a natural OpenStack-based cloud environment.The simulation results show that the proposed method achieves higher security with less than a 1%system performance loss.Mingxing Zhou Peng Xiao Qixu Wang Shuhua Ruan Xingshu Chen Menglong Yang 2024Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2024,138,1:0
