Quantitative evaluation of soil erosion of land subsided by coal mining using RUSLE显示文摘Based on a RUSLE model,we identified the key factors of the impact on soil erosion induced by coal mining subsidence. We designed a method for predicting LS factors of a mining subsidence basin, using analytical GIS spatial technology.Using the Huainan mining area as an example,we calculated the modulus of erosion, its volume and classified the grade of soil erosion for both the original area and the subsidence basin. The results show that the maximum modulus of erosion and the volume of erosion of the subsidence basin without water logging would increase by 78% and 23% respectively compared with the original situation. The edge of the subsidence basin, where the land subsidence was uneven,is subject to the greatest acceleration in soil erosion. In the situation of water logging after subsidence, the maximum modulus of erosion would decrease if the accumulated slope length were reduced. This maximum modulus around the water logged area within the subsidence basin is equal to that without water logging, while the total volume of erosion decreases. Therefore, mining subsidence aggravates soil erosion especially at the edge of basins where water and soil conservation measures should be taken. | Meng Lei Feng Qiyan Wu Kan Meng Qingjun | 2012 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,1: | 13

Source parameter and rupture process of the M_W6.3 early strong aftershock immediately following the 2016 M_W7.8 Kaikoura earthquake(New Zealand)显示文摘The 2016 A/w7.8 Kaikoura(New Zealand)earthquake was the most complex event ever instrumentally recorded and geologically investigated,as it ruptured on more than 12 fault segments of various geometries. To study the mainshock rupture characteristics, geodetic methods like InSAR and GPS play an essential role in providing satisfactory spatial resolution. However, early strong aftershocks may cause extra ground deformation which bias the mainshock rupture inversion result. In this paper,we will focus on studying the Mw 6.3 aftershock, which is the only A/6+thrust slip aftershock that occurred only 30 minutes after the Kaikoura mainshock. We will relocate the hypocenter of this event using the hypo 2000 method, make the finite fault model(FFM)inversion for the detailed rupture processes and calculate the synthetic surface displacement to compare with the observed GPS data and figure out its influence on the mainshock study.Although we are not able to resolve the real ruptured fault of this event because of limited observation data,we infer that it is a west-ward dipping event of oblique slip mechanism, consistent with the subfault geometries of the Kaikoura mainshock.According to the inverted FFM,this event can generate 10-20 cm ground surface displacement and affect the ground displacement observation at nearby GPS stations. | Qingjun Meng Aizhi Guo Xiangteng Wang Shuofan Wang | 2019 | Earthquake Science2019,32,1: | 0
Occurrence and release of cadmium, chromium, and lead from stone coal combustion显示文摘Stone coal, which has high ash yield, low carbon content, and low calorific value, releases toxic elements during the combustion process. In this study, samples were collected from an open-pit stone coal mine in the southern Shaanxi province,China.A simulated combustion experiment and sequential chemical extraction were applied to investigate the enrichment, occurrence, and release of Cr,Cd,and Pb in raw stone coal and ash.The contents of Cr,Cd,and Pb in raw stone coal were larger than those reported for other coals in China and worldwide. The enrichment factors of Cr,Cd,and Pb in ash at different temperatures exceeded 0.7,with the exception of Cd at 1000 ℃.This indicates that Cr,Cd,and Pb were first enriched at low temperature (below 600 ℃) and then volatilized at high temperature due to the decomposition of clay minerals. The dominant forms of toxic elements in raw stone coal were Fe-Mn-bound Cr and Cd and carbonates of Pb.As the temperature increased, the organic forms decreased obviously, and the residual forms increased;however, the Fe-Mn-bound forms remained the dominant forms of Cr,Cd,and Pb. | Wei Cui Qingjun Meng Qiyan Feng Lai Zhou Yahong Cui Wenbo Li | 2019 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2019,6,4: | 0
Distribution and modes of occurrence of uranium in coals of Eastern Yunnan,China显示文摘Uranium is an environmentally hazardous element, and is commonly present at trace levels(2.4 μg/g for world coals)in coal deposits. However, selected coal deposits could be highly enriched in uranium. In this study,15 coal samples were collected from Eastern Yunnan coal deposits,China, aiming to characterize the distribution and the occurrence of uranium in those coals. In studied samples, uranium content varied from 0.36 to 8.28 μg/g,with an average value of 3.76 lg/g.Generally,uranium content in coals from northern coal mines(3.02±2.44 μg/g,n=5)were lower than it in southern coal mines(4.13±2.30 μg/g,n=10).Uranium in coal samples showed no obvious correlation with total sulfur, whereas was positively correlated with ash yield. The results of sequential chemical extraction procedure confirm that organic-bound is the dominant occurrence of uranium. The slight enrichment of uranium in studied coals was probably attributed to sedimentation processes, hydrological conditions and tectonic structure of the coal deposits. | Xin Wang Qiyan Feng Qingjun Meng Fei Liu Qihang Cao Guijian Liu | 2021 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2021,8,6: | 0
δ-MnO_(2) decorated layered double oxides in-situ grown on nickel foam towards electrothermal catalysis of n-heptane显示文摘Energy-saving and efficient monolithic catalysts are hotspots of catalytic purification of industrial gaseous pollutants. Here,we have developed an electrothermal catalytic mode,in which the ignition temperature required for the reaction is provided by Joule heat generated when the current flows through the catalyst. In this paper,Mn/NiAl/NF,Mn/NiFe/NF and Mn/NF metal-based monolithic catalysts were prepared using nickel foam (NF) as the carrier for thermal and electrothermal catalysis of n-heptane.The results indicated that Mn-based monolithic catalysts exhibit high activity in thermal and electrothermal catalysis.Mn/NiFe/NF achieve conversion of n-heptane more than 99%in electrothermal catalysis under a direct-current (DC) power of 6 W,and energy-saving is 54% compared with thermal catalysis. In addition, the results indicated that the introduction of NiAl (or NiFe) greatly enhanced the catalytic activity of Mn/NF,which attributed to the higher specific surface area,Mn3+/Mn4+,Ni3+/Ni^(2+),adsorbed oxygen species (Oads)/lattice oxygen species (Olatt),redox performance of the catalyst.Electrothermal catalytic activity was significantly higher than thermal catalytic activity before complete conversion, which may be related to electronic effects.Besides,Mn/NiFe/NF has good cyclic and long-term stability in electrothermal catalysis. This paper provided a theoretical basis for applying electrothermal catalysis in the field of VOCs elimination. | Chaoqi Chen Shunzheng Zhao Xiaolong Tang Honghong Yi Fengyu Gao Qingjun Yu Jun Liu Weixiao Wang Tian Tang Xianzheng Meng | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,4: | 0
