| 1 | Design of TRIP Steel With High Welding and Galvanizing Performance in Light of Thermodynamics and Kinetics显示文摘A new type of transformation induced plasticity (TRIP) steel with not only high strength and high ductility but also superior welding and galvanizing properties was designed and developed recently. Low carbon and low silicon content were preliminarily selected with the aim of meeting the requirements of superior quality in both welding and galvanizing. Phosphorus was chosen as one of the alloying elements, because it could reduce carbon activity in cementite and increase the stability of austenite. In addition, the possibility of phosphorus segregating at grain boundary was also discussed by thermodynamics as well as kinetics. Phase diagram was estimated at high temperature and the composition of the steel was then selected in the hyperperitectic range to avoid problems, which might occur in sheet steel continuous casting. Phase diagram in the inter-critical temperature was estimated for the steel to obtain the starting temperature of fast cooling. For understanding the minimum rate of fast cooling, pearlite growth kinetics was calculated with self-developed diffusion coefficients of elements in grain boundary. | 2 | Blue light is more essential than red light for maintaining the activities of photosystem Ⅱ and Ⅰ and photosynthetic electron transport capacity in cucumber leaves显示文摘Blue and red lights differently regulate leaf photosynthesis. Previous studies indicated that plants under blue light generally exhibit better photosynthetic characteristics than those under red light. However, the regulation mechanism of related photosynthesis characteristics remains largely unclear. Here, four light qualities treatments(300 μmol m–2 s–1) including white fluorescent light(FL), blue monochromatic light(B, 440 nm), red monochromatic light(R, 660 nm), and a combination of red and blue light(RB, R:B=8:1) were carried out to investigate their effects on the activity of photosystem II(PSII) and photosystem I(PSI), and photosynthetic electron transport capacity in the leaves of cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.) seedlings. The results showed that compared to the FL treatment, the R treatment significantly limited electron transport rate in PSII(ETRII) and in PSI(ETRI) by 79.4 and 66.3%, respectively, increased non-light induced non-photochemical quenching in PSII(ΦNO) and limitation of donor side in PSI(ΦND) and reduced most JIP-test parameters, suggesting that the R treatment induced suboptimal activity of photosystems and inhibited electron transport from PSII donor side up to PSI. However, these suppressions were effectively alleviated by blue light addition(RB). Compared with the R treatment, the RB treatment significantly increased ETRII and ETRI by 176.9 and 127.0%, respectively, promoted photosystems activity and enhanced linear electron transport by elevating electron transport from QA to PSI. The B treatment plants exhibited normal photosystems activity and photosynthetic electron transport capacity similar to that of the FL treatment. | 4 | Energy Efficient Run-Time Incremental Mapping for 3-D Networks-on-Chip显示文摘3-D Networks-on-Chip(NoC) emerge as a potent solution to address both the interconnection and design complexity problems facing future Multiprocessor System-on-Chips(MPSoCs).Effective run-time mapping on such 3-D NoC-based MPSoCs can be quite challenging,as the arrival order and task graphs of the target applications are typically not known a priori,which can be further complicated by stringent energy requirements for NoC systems.This paper thus presents an energy-aware run-time incremental mapping algorithm(ERIM) for 3-D NoC which can minimize the energy consumption due to the data communications among processor cores,while reducing the fragmentation effect on the incoming applications to be mapped,and simultaneously satisfying the thermal constraints imposed on each incoming application.Specifically,incoming applications are mapped to cuboid tile regions for lower energy consumption of communication and the minimal routing.Fragment tiles due to system fragmentation can be gleaned for better resource utilization.Extensive experiments have been conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm ERIM,and the results are compared against the optimal mapping algorithm(branch-and-bound) and two heuristic algorithms(TB and TL).The experiments show that ERIM outperforms TB and TL methods with significant energy saving(more than 10%),much reduced average response time,and improved system utilization. | Xiao-Hang Wang Peng Liu Mei Yang Maurizio Palesi Ying-Tao Jiang Michael C Huang | 2013 | Journal of Computer Science & Technology2013,28,1: | 5 |
| 5 | Environmental and Psycho-social Factors Related to Prostate Cancer Risk in the Chinese Population:a Case-control Study显示文摘Objective To study the risk environmental and psycho-social factors associated to prostate cancer(PCa) in Chinese population. Methods 250 PCa patients and 500 controls were enrolled in this case-control study. Information was collected and logistic regression analysis was used to estimate the odds ratios(OR) and 95% confidence intervals(95% CI) for relationship between lifestyle, eating habits and psycho-social factors with PCa risk. Results Green vegetables and green tea were associated with a decreased risk of PCa(OR=0.39, 95% CI: 0.28-0.53; OR=0.59, 95% CI: 0.40-0.87, respectively). Family history of PCa(OR=7.16, 95% CI: 2.01-25.49), history of prostate diseases(OR=2.28, 95% CI: 1.53-3.41), alcohol consumption(OR=1.97, 95% CI: 1.33-2.90), red meat consumption(OR=1.74, 95% CI: 1.20-2.52), barbecued(OR=2.29, 95% CI: 1.11-4.73) or fried(OR=2.35, 95% CI: 1.24-4.43) foods were related with increased PCa risk. Negative psycho-social factors including occupational setbacks(OR=1.61, 95% CI: 1.00-2.59), marital separation(OR=1.94, 95% CI: 1.29-2.91), self-contained suffering(OR=2.37, 95% CI: 1.58-3.55), and high sensitivity to the personal comments(OR=1.73, 95% CI: 1.18-2.54) were related to PCa. Conclusion Regular consumption of green vegetables and green tea may suggest protective effects on PCa. Alcohol consumption, red meat consumption and barbecued or fried foods were associated with PCa.
