1Mode-locked 2.8-μm fluoride fiber laser:from soliton to breathing pulse显示文摘The mode-locked fluoride fiber laser(MLFFL)is an exciting platform for directly generating ultrashort pulses in the mid-infrared(mid-IR).However,owing to difficulty in managing the dispersion in fluoride fiber lasers,MLFFLs are restricted to the soliton regime,hindering pulse-energy scaling.We overcame the problem of dispersion management by utilizing the huge normal dispersion generated near the absorption edge of an infrared-bandgap semiconductor and promoted MLFFL from soliton to breathing-pulse mode-locking.In the breathing-pulse regime,the accumulated nonlinear phase shift can be significantly reduced in the cavity,and the pulse-energy-limitation effect is mitigated.The breathing-pulse MLFFL directly produced a pulse energy of 9.3 nJ and pulse duration of 215 fs,with a record peak power of 43.3 kW at 2.8μm.Our work paves the way for the pulse-energy and peak-power scaling of mid-IR fluoride fiber lasers,enabling a wide range of applications.Zhipeng Qin Guoqiang Xie Hongan Gu Ting Hai Peng Yuan Jingui Ma Liejia Qian 2019Advanced Photonics2019,1,6:9
2Experimental study on combustion characteristics of Chinese RP-3 kerosene显示文摘In order to illustrate the combustion characteristics of RP-3 kerosene which is widely used in Chinese aero-engines, the combustion characteristics of RP-3 kerosene were experimentally investigated in a constant volume combustion chamber. The experiments were performed at four different pressures of 0.1 MPa, 0.3 MPa, 0.5 MPa and 0.7 MPa, and three different temperatures of 390 K,420 K and 450 K, and over the equivalence ratio range of 0.6–1.6. Furthermore, the laminar combustion speeds of a surrogate fuel for RP-3 kerosene were simulated under certain conditions. The results show that increasing the initial temperature or decreasing the initial pressure causes an increase in the laminar combustion speed of RP-3 kerosene. With the equivalence ratio increasing from 0.6 to 1.6, the laminar combustion speed increases initially and then decreases gradually.The highest laminar combustion speed is measured under fuel rich condition(the equivalence ratio is 1.2). At the same time, the Markstein length shows the same changing trend as the laminar combustion speed with modification of the initial pressure. Increasing the initial pressure will increase the instability of the flame front, which is established by decreased Markstein length. However, different from the effects of the initial temperature and equivalence ratio on the laminar combustion speed,increasing the equivalence ratio will lead to a decrease in the Markstein length and the stability of the flame front, and the effect of the initial temperature on the Markstein length is unclear. 3Synthesis of growth-type polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) using the solvent Fe_(55)Ni_(29)Co_(16) alloy under HPHT显示文摘A growth-type polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) was synthesized under high temperature and high pressure (HPHT). The infiltration technique was used with an Fe55Ni29Co16 (KOV) alloy as the sintering solvent. The morphology and weight ratio of the PDC were investigated through scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electron dispersion spectroscopy (EDS). Note that the KOV alloy evenly infiltrated throughout the polycrystalline diamond (PCD) layer and WC-Co substrate in a short sintering time due to its low viscosity and high soakage capability. A transition layer confirmed the presence of the MxC phase near the interface of the PDC, which can make the diamond layer and WC-Co substrate combine as a complex material. X-ray diffraction (XRD) performed on the PCD layer confirmed the presence of cubic diamond, WC, cubic CoCx, the high temperature cubic phase of α-Co, the alloy phase of FeNix, and no graphite phase. 4Effect of additive boron on type-Ib gem diamond single crystals synthesized under HPHT显示文摘The boron-doped type-Ib gem diamond crystals were synthesized successfully by adding amorphous boron into a system of graphite and Kovar catalyst under high pressure and high temperature (HPHT).The effect of additive boron on type-Ib gem diamond was extensively studied including the growth characteristic,morphology and nitrogen concentration.The synthesized boron-doped type-Ib gem diamond crystals were characterized by optical microscope (OM),scanning electron microscope (SEM) and infrared spectrometer (IR).The results show that the growth region of the {111} face becomes wide,whereas the growth region of the {100} face becomes narrow and nearly disappears as increasing additive boron in the sample.The crystal will be opaque and imperfect,and the concentration of nitrogen will be decreased when the boron atoms are incorporated into gem diamond lattice.These techniques are very important and will be widely applied.MA LiQiu MA HongAn XIAO HongYu LI ShangSheng LI Yong JIA XiaoPeng 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,8:8
5HPHT preparation and Micro-Raman characterization of polycrystalline diamond compact with low residual stress显示文摘High quality grown polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) with low residual stress was prepared using the infiltration method with nickel based alloys as the solvent under high temperature and high pressure (HPHT). Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to observe the micro morphology of the diamond layer and the diamond/WC substrate interface. It was found that dense and interlaced microstructure with diamond-diamond (D-D) direct bonding formed in the diamond layer of PDC. Micro-Raman spectroscopy was used to measure the Raman shift of diamonds in the polycrystalline diamond (PCD) layer and the residual stress was calculated based on the Raman shift of diamonds. Experimental results show that the residual stress of PCD layer is compressive stress, and the range of the residual stress is from 0.075 to 0.250 GPa in the whole PCD layer, much lower than that of other reports (up to 1.400 GPa). 6Study on growth of coarse grains of diamond with high quality under HPHT显示文摘The growth of coarse grains of diamond was observed with graphite as carbon source and Fe80Ni20 alloy powder as catalyst at HPHT in a China-type SPD 6×1670T cubic high-pressure apparatus with highly exact control system. To synthesize coarse grains of diamond crystal with high quality,ad-vanced indirect heat assembly,powder catalyst technology and catalyst with optimal granularity were used. Especially the nucleation of diamond and the growth rate were strictly controlled by the opti-mized synthesis craft. At last,diamond crystals (about 0.85 mm) in the perfect hex-octahedron shape were successfully synthesized at ~5.4 GPa and ~1360℃ in 60 min. The characteristic of crystal growth with powder catalyst technology under HPHT was discussed. 7Effects of Ti additive on HPHT diamond synthesis in Fe-Ni-C system显示文摘Diamond crystals with low nitrogen concentration were synthesized from the Fe-Ni-C system with Ti additive at high pressure and high temperature (HPHT) in a china-type cubic high pressure apparatus (CHPA). The synthesis pressure range was 4.8-5.2 GPa, and the temperature range was 1420-1600 K. The lowest synthesis pressure for diamond fell first and then rose with the increase of Ti additive. The color, shape, surface morphology and nitrogen impurity concentration of the synthesized diamond crystals were characterized using optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and micro Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometry. The results show that the Ti additive has significant effects on color, growth rate, crystal shape, surface morphology and nitrogen impurity con- centration of the synthesized diamond crystals. The color of diamond crystals synthesized without Ti additive is yellow, while that with Ti additive becomes light and nearly colorless. The growth rate without Ti additive is higher than that with Ti additive. The crystal shapes of as-grown diamond crystals vary with the increase of Ti additive. The {111} crystal faces become dominant and some {311} crystal faces appear with the increase of Ti additive. 8Effects of carbon diffusing field in alloy solvent on the growth of tower-shape diamond single crystal显示文摘High-quality type-Ib tower-shape diamond single crystals were synthesized in cubic anvil high pressure apparatus (SPD-6×1200) at 5.4 GPa and 1250-1450°C. The (100) face of seed crystal was used as the growth face, and FeNiMnCo alloy was used as the solvent/catalyst. Two kinds of carbon diffusing fields (type-B and type-G) were simulated by finite element method (FEM). Using the two kinds of carbon diffusing fields, many diamond single crystals were synthesized. The effects of carbon diffusing fields on the crystal quality and β value (the ratio of height to diameter of diamond crystal) were studied. The results show that using type-B diffusing field, considerable inclusions appeared in tower-shape diamond crystals with high β values; however, using type- G diffusing field, inclusions were reduced markedly in high β values tower-shape diamond crystals, and the crystal, up to 0.6 carat in weight and 5.3 mm in size, was synthesized. 9Dependence of nitrogen concentration in type Ib diamonds on synthesis temperature显示文摘Type Ib diamonds were grown by the temperature gradient method (TGM) at 5.5 GPa and 1500-1560 K in a china-type cubic anvil high pressure apparatus using Ni70Mn25Co5 alloy as solvent/catalyst. The concentration of nitrogen (CN) in type Ib diamonds synthesized at different synthesis temperatures was measured by a Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometer. The dependence of CN in diamond on synthesis temperature was studied. 10FEM analysis on the effect of cobalt content on thermal residual stress in polycrystalline diamond compact(PDC)显示文摘Thermal residual stress in Polycrystalline Diamond Compacts(PDCs) is mainly caused by the mismatch in the Coefficients of Thermal Expansion(CTE) between the polycrystalline diamond(PCD) layer and WC-Co substrate.In the PCD layer,the CTE of cobalt exhibit magnitudes four times larger than those of diamond.Cobalt content in the PCD layer has important effects on the thermal residual stress of PDCs.In this work,the effects of cobalt content on thermal residual stress in PCDs were investigated by the Finite Element Method(FEM).The simulation results show that the thermal residual stress decreases firstly,and then increases with increasing cobalt content(1 vol.%-20 vol.%),which reaches a minimum value when the cobalt content is about 10 vol.%.The FEM analysis results are in agreement with our experimental results.It will provide an effective method for further designing and optimizing PDC properties.LI ZhanChang JIA HongSheng MA HongAn GUO Wei LIU XiaoBing HUANG GuoFeng LI Rui JIA XiaoPeng 2012Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,4:5
11Mechanism of diamond-to-graphite transformation at diamond-stable conditions显示文摘The diamond-to-graphite transformation at diamond-stable conditions is studied by temperature gradient method (TGM) under high pressure and high temperature (HPHT), although it is unreasonable from the view of thermodynamic considerations. It is found that, at diamond-stable conditions, for example, at 5.5 GPa and 1550 K, with fine diamond grits as carbon source and NiMnCo alloy as metal solvent assisted, not only large diamond crystals, but metastable regrown graphite crystals would be grown by layer growth mechanism, and the abundance of carbon source in the higher temperature region is indispensable for the presence of metastable regrown graphite crystals. From this transformation, it is concluded that, with metal solvent assisted, although the mechanism of crystal growth could be understood by the macro-mechanism of solubility difference between diamond and graphite in metal solvents, from the point of micro-mechanism, the minimum growth units for diamond or graphite crystals should be at atomic level and unrelated to the kinds of carbon source (diamond or graphite), which could be accumulated free-selectively on the graphite with sp2π or diamond crystals with sp3 bond structure.ZANG ChuangYi CHEN XiaoZhou HU Qiang MA HongAn JIA XiaoPeng 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,14:4
12Effects of aluminum additive on diamond crystallization in the Fe-Ni-C system under high temperature and high pressure conditions显示文摘In this paper,we investigate diamond crystallization in Fe-Ni-C with an aluminum additive and the capability of aluminum for converting graphite to diamond in a series of experiments at 4.9-5.5 GPa and 1240-1500°C.Our experimental results show that the growth habits of diamond crystal have been significantly influenced by the addition of aluminum as a catalyst.The crystal color changes from yellow to nearly colorless.The morphology of the synthesized diamond crystals gradually changes from cubic-octahedron to octahedron in the Fe-Ni-C systems with increasing aluminum additive.The lowest synthesis conditions fell first and then rose with increasing aluminum.We found a suitable addition of aluminum is very effective in lowering the synthesis conditions while an excessive aluminum additive may have a suppressive effect on the diamond nucleation.ZHANG ZhuangFei JIA XiaoPeng LIU XiaoBing HU MeiHua LI Yong YAN BingMin MA HongAn 2012Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,5:3

14An approach to visual analysis for task flow management显示文摘Efficient management of task flow plays an important role in prediction,planning,control and optimization of tasks.In this paper,according to major indicators to evaluate during task flow management such as time performance,resource allocation efficiency and executory costs we establish a task flow management oriented business model and analyze important operations performed in evaluation,analysis,and optimization of task flow.Based on the business model,in the view of problems from multi-source and heterogeneous data without standardized description,we define a unified data model to give a description for the massive and heterogeneous task flow data.Then we further demonstrate a complex task flow oriented visualization morphology design,with corresponding layout algorithm,and introduce the Focus + Context technique to assist users in analyzing task flows and making accurate decisions.Finally,we develop a task flow management oriented visual analysis prototype system,and apply it into medical process management.Experimental results show that this system can effectively support analysis and evaluation of execution progress,time performance,resource utilization,cost,etc.,which can improve efficiency of the task flow management and contribute to quick and accurate decision-making.TENG DongXing SONG ShaoLei YANG HaiYan MA CuiXia WANG HongAn DAI GuoZhong 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,5:2

16Interactive System for Video Summarization Based on Multimodal Fusion显示文摘Biography videos based on life performances of prominent figures in history aim to describe great mens' life.In this paper,a novel interactive video summarization for biography video based on multimodal fusion is proposed,which is a novel approach of visualizing the specific features for biography video and interacting with video content by taking advantage of the ability of multimodality.In general,a story of movie progresses by dialogues of characters and the subtitles are produced with the basis on the dialogues which contains all the information related to the movie.In this paper,JGibbsLDA is applied to extract key words from subtitles because the biography video consists of different aspects to depict the characters' whole life.In terms of fusing keywords and key-frames,affinity propagation is adopted to calculate the similarity between each key-frame cluster and keywords.Through the method mentioned above,a video summarization is presented based on multimodal fusion which describes video content more completely.In order to reduce the time spent on searching the interest video content and get the relationship between main characters,a kind of map is adopted to visualize video content and interact with video summarization.An experiment is conducted to evaluate video summarization and the results demonstrate that this system can formally facilitate the exploration of video content while improving interaction and finding events of interest efficiently.Zheng Li Xiaobing Du Cuixia Ma Yanfeng Li Hongan Wang 2019Journal of Beijing Institute of Technology2019,28,1:1
17Thermoelectric properties of In-substituted Ge-based clathrates prepared by HPHT显示文摘Bulk materials Ba_(8)Ga_(16)In_(x)Ge_(30-x)(x=0.5,1.0,1.5)were prepared by High-Pressure and High-Temperature(HPHT)method and the crystal structure has been confirmed by X-ray diffraction and cell refinement.The actual In composition was much lower than the starting composition,and lattice constants increased with the increase of substitution.As the temperature increased,the Seebeck coefficient and electrical resistivity increased first and then decreased,while the thermal conductivity was the opposite,which leads to significant enhancement on thermoelectric properties of the clathrates.The substitution of indium elements decreased the seebeck coefficient and electrical resistivity,and also changed the microstructure of the compounds.A minimum thermal conductivity of 0.84Wm^(-1)1K^(-1)was obtained,and a good ZT value of 0.52 was achieved.The grain boundaries and lattice defects generated by high pressure can effectively scatter phonons of different frequencies,which reduce the lattice thermal conductivity.Binwu Liu Hongan Ma Dexuan Huo Haiqiang Liu Baomin Liu Jiaxiang Chen Xiaopeng Jia 2018Journal of Materiomics2018,4,1:1
18High-thermoelectric performance of TiO_(2-x)fabricated under high pressure at high temperatures显示文摘We present the work about the initiative fabrication of multi-scale hierarchical TiO2-x by our strategy,combining high pressure and high temperature(HPHT)reactive sintering with appropriate ratio of coarse Ti to nanosized TiO_(2).Ubiquitous lattice defects engineering has also been achieved in our samples by HPHT.The thermoelectric performance was significantly enhanced,and rather low thermal conductivity(1.60 W m^(-1)K^(-1))for titanium oxide was reported here for TiO1.76.Correspondingly,a high dimensionless figure of merit(zT)up to 0.33 at 700℃was realized in it.As far as we know,this value is an enhancement of 43%of the ever best result about nonstoichiometric TiO_(2)and the result is also exciting for oxide thermoelectric materials.The moderate power factor,the significantly reduced thermal conductivity and the remarkable synergy between electrical properties and thermal conductivity are responsible for the excellent thermoelectric performance.We develop a facile strategy for preparing multi-scale hierarchical TiO_(2-x)and its superior ability to optimize thermoelectric performance has been demonstrated here.Haiqiang Liu Hongan Ma Taichao Su Yuewen Zhang Bing Sun Binwu Liu Lingjiao Kong Baomin Liu Xiaopeng Jia 2017Journal of Materiomics2017,3,4:1
