| 1 | Taking the pulse of COVID-19:a spatiotemporal perspective显示文摘The sudden outbreak of the Coronavirus disease(COVID-19)swept across the world in early 2020,triggering the lockdowns of several billion people across many countries, including China,Spain,India, the U.K.,Italy,France,Germany,Brazil,Russia,and the U.S.The transmission of the virus accelerated rapidly with the most confirmed cases in the U.S.,India,Russia,and Brazil. In response to this national and global emergency, the NSF Spatiotemporal Innovation Center brought together a taskforce of international researchers and assembled implementation strategies to rapidly respond to this crisis, for supporting research, saving lives, and protecting the health of global citizens. This perspective paper presents our collective view on the global health emergency and our effort in collecting, analyzing, and sharing relevant data on global policy and government responses, human mobility, environmental impact, socioeconomical impact;in developing research capabilities and mitigation measures with global scientists, promoting collaborative research on outbreak dynamics, and reflecting on the dynamic responses from human societies. | Chaowei Yang Dexuan Sha Qian Liu Yun Li Hai Lan Weihe Wendy Guan Tao Hu Zhenlong Li Zhiran Zhang John Hoot Thompson Zifu Wang David Wong Shiyang Ruan Manzhu Yu Douglas Richardson Luyao Zhang Ruizhi Hou You Zhoua Cheng Zhong Yifei Tian Fayez Beaini Kyla Carte Colin Flynn Wei Liu Dieter Pfoser Shuming Bao Mei Li Haoyuan Zhang Chunbo Liu Jie Jiang Shihong Du Liang Zhao Mingyue Lu Lin Li Huan Zhou Andrew Ding | 2020 | International Journal of Digital Earth2020,13,10: | 2 |
| 2 | Implementing an innovated liver ex-situ machine perfusion technology:The 2018 Joint International Congress of ILTS,ELITA and LICAGE显示文摘The 2018 Joint International Congress of ILTS,ELITA and LICAGE were held in Lisbon,Portugal on May 23–26,2018.The exciting and innovative program brought together 1144 experts in liver transplantation(LT)such as surgeons, physicians or basic scientists from 61 countries. The presentations included 110 invited speakers,181 oral presentations, and 545 posters. This editorial highlights some of the most innovative and impactful presentations in machine perfusion(MP).MP resuscitates“marginal grafts”,pushing the limit of high-risk liver graft utilization Static cold storage(SCS),the current most popular liver preservation technology,is a significant barrier to the broader use of“marginal grafts”[1].MP,a new-developed donor preservation method, appears to enhance preservation of donor organs, and further expands donor pool.De Carlis et al.(Niguarda Ca’Granda Hospital,Italy)analyzed the first 15 consecutive donation after cardiac death(DCD)LT using combined normothermic regional perfusion(NRP)and hypothermic machine perfusion(HMP),30 transplants using SCS from donation after brain death(DBD)as control,one-year overall and graft survival were 93%and 87%for HMP group respectively while matched SCS group 87%and 90%,respectively,whilst the overall biliary complication rates between the two groups were not significantly different. | Jun-Jun Jia Jian-Hui Li Hai-Yang Xie Lin Zhoua Shu-Sen Zheng | 2018 | Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2018,17,4: | 2 |
