1Bench-to-bedside strategies for osteoporotic fracture: from osteoimmunology to mechanosensation显示文摘Osteoporosis is characterized by a decrease in bone mass and strength, rendering people prone to osteoporotic fractures caused by low-energy forces. The primary treatment strategy for osteoporotic fractures is surgery;however, the compromised and comminuted bones in osteoporotic fracture sites are not conducive to optimum reduction and rigid fixation. In addition, these patients always exhibit accompanying aging-related disorders, including high inflammatory status, decreased mechanical loading and abnormal skeletal metabolism, which are disadvantages for fracture healing around sites that have undergone orthopedic procedures. Since the incidence of osteoporosis is expected to increase worldwide, orthopedic surgeons should pay more attention to comprehensive strategies for improving the poor prognosis of osteoporotic fractures. Herein, we highlight the molecular basis of osteoimmunology and bone mechanosensation in different healing phases of elderly osteoporotic fractures, guiding perioperative management to alleviate the unfavorable effects of insufficient mechanical loading, high inflammatory levels and pathogen infection. The well-informed pharmacologic and surgical intervention, including treatment with anti-inflammatory drugs and sufficient application of antibiotics, as well as bench-to-bedside strategies for bone augmentation and hardware selection, should be made according to a comprehensive understanding of bone biomechanical properties in addition to the remodeling status of osteoporotic bones, which is necessary for creating proper biological and mechanical environments for bone union and remodeling. 2Broadband quasi-phase matching in a MgO:PPLN thin film显示文摘Future quantum information networks operated on telecom channels require qubit transfer between different wavelengths while preserving quantum coherence and entanglement. Qubit transfer is a nonlinear optical process,but currently the types of atoms used for quantum information processing and storage are limited by the narrow bandwidth of upconversion available. Here we present the first experimental demonstration of broadband and high-efficiency quasi-phase matching second-harmonic generation(SHG) in a chip-scale periodically poled lithium niobate thin film. We achieve a large bandwidth of up to 2 THz for SHG by satisfying quasi-phase matching and group-velocity matching simultaneously. Furthermore, by changing the film thickness, the central wavelength of the quasi-phase matching SHG bandwidth can be modulated from 2.70 μm to 1.44 μm. 3Effective femtosecond laser shock peening on a Mg-3Gd alloy at low pulse energy 430 μJ of 1 kHz显示文摘In this paper,microstructure evolution and hardness of Mg-3 Gd alloy treated by femtosecond(fs)laser shock peening(LSP)with direct and confined ablation m odes were investigated in detail.Under a relatively low pulse energy of 430μJ with a repetition of 1 kHz,the surface hardness of sample has been enhanced by 70%effectively.Comp a r e d with ns-LSP with pulse fluence of 71.7J/cm2,fs-LSP with pulse fluence of 34.2 J/cm2 is superior in the hardness increment,both of which are in the same order of magnitude.A distinct grain refinement of surface layer has been discovered and results in the increase of hardness.Nonuse of absorption and confining layers and the employment of the industry commercial fs laser with high repetition can inspire big potential L S P application in special metal material.©2019 Published by Elsevier B.V.on behalf of Chongqing University.Chenghao Lu Licheng Ge Bing Zhu Yangxin Li Xianfeng Chen Xiaoqin Zeng Yuping Chen 2019Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2019,7,3:2
4Advances in photo-enzymatic-coupling catalysis system显示文摘Photosynthesis,as an efficient pathway for solar energy capture and utilization,has supported aerobionts for billions of years.The imitation of photosynthesis to construct artificial photo-enzymatic-coupling catalysis system has become a pow-erful means to solve energy and environmental problems.After years of in-depth research on this coupled system,through ingenious and rational design,the synergistic effect of photo-and enzymatic catalyses has played a significant role in many different fields,including solar-driven fuel production,chiral chemical synthesis and carbon dioxide fixation.Furthermore,light in enzymatic catalysis could also endow enzyme new possibilities.Photo-induced radical cofactor could bring catalytic promiscuity to enzymes,making them catalyze reactions that natural enzymes cannot.This review summarizes the advances in photo-enzymatic-coupling catalysis system and introduces its essential components,their integration and application.The possibilities presented by photo-induced catalytic promiscuity and its significance for expanding the toolbox of enzymes are also discussed.Yunxiu Bai Licheng Wang Jun Ge 2021Systems Microbiology and Biomanufacturing2021,1,3:1

6Isolation and Identification of Pseudo Seven-Coordinate Ru(Ⅲ)Intermediate Completing the Catalytic Cycle of Ru-bda Type of Water Oxidation Catalysts显示文摘Isolation of RuⅢ-bda(17-electron specie)complex with an aqua ligand(2-electron donor)is challenging due to violation of the 18-electron rule.Although considerable efforts have been dedicated to mechanistic studies of water oxidation by the Ru-bda family,the structure and initial formation of the Ru^(Ⅲ)-bda aqua complex are still controversial.Herein,we challenge this often overlooked step by designing a pocketshape Ru-based complex 1.The computational studies showed that 1 possesses the crucial hydrophobicity at the Ru^(V)(O)state as well as similar probability of access of terminal O to solvent water molecules when compared with classic Ru-bda catalysts.Through characterization of single-crystal structures at the Ru^(Ⅱ) and Ru^(Ⅲ) states,a pseudo seven-coordinate“ready-togo”aqua ligand with Ru^(Ⅲ)…O distance of 3.62A was observed.This aqua ligand was also found to be part of a formed hydrogen-bonding network,providing a good indication of how the Ru^(Ⅲ)-OH_(2)complex is formed.Tianqi Liu Ge Li Nannan Shen Linqin Wang Brian J.J.Timmer Shengyang Zhou Biaobiao Zhang Alexander Kravchenko Bo Xu Marten S.G.Ahlquist Licheng Sun 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,7:1
