| 1 | Deposition and erosion in the fluctuating backwater reach of the Three Gorges Project after upstream reservoir adjustment显示文摘The construction of hydropower projects,such as Xiluodu and Xiangjiaba Reservoirs,in the upper Yangtze River will lead to variations of the incoming water and sediment conditions and in turn changes in the deposition and erosion processes in the fluctuating backwater reach of the Three Gorges Project(TGP).In this paper,based on the water and sediment characteristics,a 2D mathematical model in the boundary-fitting orthogonal curvilinear coordinate system has been employed to predict the space-time changes of sedimentation in the Chongqing reach,part of the fluctuating backwater reach of TGP,in a period of 100 years with repetition of the 1961-1970 hydrological series with and without the construction of upstream reservoirs.The results show that in the case of natural hydrological series(NHS) without upstream reservoirs,severe deposition occurs in bays with concave bank lines,recirculation flow areas and wide-shallow reaches.In the case with the adjustment of upstream reservoirs,only a little deposition exists in bays with concave bank lines,and the amounts of deposition in the Yangtze River and Jialing River reaches are about 10-20% of those in the case of NHS.Therefore,this is helpful to maintain the effective capacity of the TGP Reservoir and utilize the bank lines of the Chongqing reach. | Yongjun LU Liqin ZUO Rongyao JI Huaixiang LIU | 2010 | International Journal of Sediment Research2010,25,1: | 13 |

| 3 | Mitochondrial Genome of Episesarma lafondii(Brachyura:Sesarmidae)and Comparison with Other Sesarmid Crabs显示文摘Complete mitochondrial genomes(mitogenomes)can provide useful information for phylogenetic relationships,gene rearrangement,and molecular evolution.Here,the complete mitogenome of Episesarma lafondii(Brachyura:Grapsoidea:Sesarmidae)was sequenced through next-generation sequencing technique for the first time.The 15640 bp mitogenome contains the entire set of 37 genes and an AT-rich region.The rearrangements of two tRNA genes(tRNA-His and tRNA-Gln)are compared with that in the pancrustacean ground pattern,and the tandem duplication/random loss model was selected to explain the observed gene rearrangements.The phylogenetic results showed that all sesarmid crabs belong to the same group,wherein the genus Episesarma showed the closest relationship with Clistocoeloma.Furthermore,the monophyly of each family was well supported except for Xanthidae,Gecarcinidae,and Homolidae.The correlation between the phylogeny of Sesarmidae species and the gaps in the QIM region was analyzed.Evidently,the gaps between Q and I(Gap3 and between I and M(Gap4)degenerated with the evolution process.In general,the results will contribute to the in-depth understanding of gene rearrangements in Sesarmidae mitogenomes and provide new insights into the phylogeny of Brachyura. | ZHANG Ying GAO Yan GONG Li LU Xinting JIANG Lihua LIU Bingjian LIU Liqin LU Zhenming LI Pengfei | 2021 | Journal of Ocean University of China2021,20,6: | 4 |

| 5 | A rhizobia strain isolated from root nodule of gymno-sperm Podocarpus macrophyllus显示文摘Symbiotic nitrogen fixation of rhizobia and leguminous plants is considered as the most important biologic nitrogen fixation system on earth. Symbiotic nodulation of gymnosperm Podocarpus macro-phyllus and rhizobia has never been reported. In this study, 11 endophytic bacteria strains were isolated from root nodules of P. macrophyllus and its variation P. macrophyllus var. maki. The plant infection tests on these strains indicated that the isolated strains could be nodulated on P. macrophyllus plants, and weak nitrogenase activity of nodules was found in acetylene reduction method. | 6 | Preparation of P(St-NMA)microsphere inks and their application in photonic crystal patterns with brilliant structural colors显示文摘Patterned photonic crystals with structural colors on textile substrates have attracted a special attention due to the great advantages in application,which currently become a research hot-spot.This study utilized an ink-jet printing technology to prepare high-quality photonic crystal patterns with structural colors on polyester substrates.The self-assembly temperature of poly(styrene-N-methylol acrylamide)(P(St-NMA))microspheres set to construct photonic crystals were deeply optimized.Moreover,the structural colors of prepared photonic crystal patterns were characterized and evaluated.When the mass fraction of P(St-NMA)microspheres was 1.0 wt.%,the pH value ranged from 5 to 7,and the surface tension was in the range of 63.79 to 71.20 mN/m,inks could present the best print performance.At 60°C,prepared P(St-NMA)microsphere inks were good for printing to obtain patterned photonic crystals with regular arrangement and beautiful structural colors.Specifically,photonic crystals with different colors could be constructed by regulating the diameter of microspheres in inks,and prepared structural colors exhibited distinct iridescent phenomenon.The present results could provide a theoretical basis for the industrial realization of patterned photonic crystals by ink-jet printing technology. | Guojin Liu Pengshuai Han Liqin Chai Peng Lu Yuping He Lan Zhou | 2020 | Frontiers of Materials Science2020,14,1: | 3 |
| 7 | Atmospheric emission characterization of a novel sludge drying and co-combustion system显示文摘A novel system combining sludge drying and co-combustion with coal was applied in disposing sludge and its atmospheric emission characteristics were tested. The system was composed of a hollow blade paddle dryer, a thermal drying exhaust gas control system,a 75 tons/hr circulating fluidized bed and a flue gas cleaning system. The emissions of NH3, SO2, CH4and some other pollutants released from thermal drying, and pollutants such as NOx, SO2etc. discharged by the incinerator, were all tested. Polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans(PCDD/Fs) in the flue gas from the incinerator were investigated as well. The results indicated that the concentrations of NOx and SO2in the flue gas from the incinerator were 145 and 16 mg/m3, respectively,and the I-TEQ concentration of 2,3,7,8-substitued PCDD/Fs was 0.023 ng I-TEQ/Nm3. All these values were greatly lower than the emission standards of China. In addition, there was no obvious odor in the air around the sludge dryer. | 8 | Comparative mitochondrial genome analysis of Varunidae and its phylogenetic implications显示文摘Complete mitochondrial genomes(mitogenomes)can indicate phylogenetic relationships,as well as useful information for gene rearrangement mechanisms and molecular evolution.Currently,the phylogenetic location of the genus Varuna(Brachyura:Varunidae)has not been well resolved mainly because of limited representatives(only two extant species).Here,we determined a new mitogenome of this genus(Varuna litterata)and added the published mitogenomes to reconstruct the phylogeny of Varunidae.The 16368-bp mitogenome contains the entire set of 37 genes and a putative control region.The characteristics of this newly sequenced mitogenome were described and compared with the other 15 Varunidae mitogenomes.All 16 analyzed mitogenomes have identical gene order and similar molecular features.The sliding window and genetic distance analyses demonstrate highly variable nucleotide diversity,with comparatively low variability of COI and COII,and high variability of ND6.The nonsynonymous/synonymous substitution rates(dN/dS ratio)analysis shows that all 13 PCGs are under purifying selection and ATP8 gene evolves under the least selective pressure.Twelve tRNA genes,two rRNAs,one PCG,and the putative control region are found to be rearranged with respect to the pancrustacean ground pattern gene order.Tandem duplication/random loss model is adopted to explain the large-scale gene rearrangement events occurring in Varunidae mitogenomes.Phylogenetic analyses show that all Varunidae species are placed into one group,and form a sister clade with Macrophthalmidae.Nevertheless,the phylogenetic relationships within Varunidae are not completely consistent based on the two different datasets used in this study.These findings will contribute to a better understanding of gene rearrangement and molecular evolution in Varunidae mitogenomes,as well as provide insights into the phylogenetic studies of Brachyura. | Ying Zhang Li Gong Xinting Lu Zengliang Miao Lihua Jiang Bingjian Liu Liqin Liu Pengfei Li Xu Zhang Zhenming Lü | 2022 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2022,41,6: | 2 |
