2Three-dimensional graphitic carbon sphere foams as sorbents for cleaning oil spills显示文摘Frequent offshore oil spill accidents, industrial oily sewage, and the indiscriminate disposal of urban oily sewage have caused seri- ous impacts on the human living environment and health. The traditional oil-water separation methods not only cause easily environmental secondary pollution but also a waste of limited resources. Therefore, in this work, three-dimensional (3D) graphitic carbon sphere (GCS) foams (collectively referred hereafter as 3D foams) with a 3D porous structure, pore size distribution of 25-200 μm, and high porosity of 62vol% were prepared for oil adsorption via gel casting using GCS as the starting materials. The results indicate that the water contact angle (WCA) of the as-prepared 3D foams is 130°. The contents of GCS greatly influenced the hydrophobicity, WCA, and microstructure of the as-prepared samples. The adsorption capacities of the as-prepared 3D foams for paraffin oil, vegetable oil, and vacuum pump oil were approximately 12-15 g/g, which were 10 times that of GCS powder. 6NAS4RRAM: neural network architecture search for inference on RRAM-based accelerators显示文摘The RRAM-based accelerators enable fast and energy-efficient inference for neural networks.However, there are some requirements to deploy neural networks on RRAM-based accelerators, which are not considered in existing neural networks.(1) Because the noise problem and analog-digital converters/digitalanalog converters(ADC/DAC) affect the prediction accuracy, they should be modeled in networks.(2) Because the weights are mapped to the RRAM cells, they should be quantized, and the number of weights is limited by the number of RRAM cells in the accelerator. These requirements motivate us to customize the hardware-friendly network for the RRAM-based accelerator. We take the idea of network architecture search(NAS) to design networks with high prediction accuracy that meet the requirements. We propose a framework called NAS4RRAM to search for the optimal network on the given RRAM-based accelerator. The experiments demonstrate that NAS4RRAM can apply to different RRAM-based accelerators with different scales. 7Surface-targeted functionalization of nickel-rich cathodes through synergistic slurry additive approach with multi-level impact using minimal quantity显示文摘LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O_(2)(NCM811),a Ni-rich layered oxide,is a promising cathode material for high-energy density lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,its structural instability,caused by adverse phase transitions and continuous oxygen release,as well as deteriorated interfacial stability due to excessive electrolyte oxidative decomposition,limits its widespread application.To address these issues,a new concept is proposed that surface targeted precise functionalization(STPF)of the NCM811 cathode using a synergistic slurry additive(SSA)approach.This approach involves coating the NCM811 particle surface with 3-aminopropyl dimethoxy methyl silane(3-ADMS),followed by the precise deposition of ascorbic acid via an acid-base interaction.The slurry additives induce the formation of an ultra-thin spinel surface layer and a stable cathode–electrolyte interface(CEI),which enhances the electrochemical kinetics and inhibits crack propagation.The STPF strategy implemented by the SSA approach significantly improves the cyclic stability and rate performance of the NCM811 cathode in both half-cell and full-cell configurations.This work establishes a promising strategy to enhance the structural stability and electrochemical performance of nickel-rich cathodes and provides a feasible route to promote practical applications of high-energy density lithium-ion battery technology.Jing Zhang Jiapei Li Longhao Cao Wenhua Cheng Ziyin Guo Xiuxia Zuo Chao Wang Ya-Jun Cheng Yonggao Xia Yudai Huang 2024Nano Research2024,17,1:0
8A Primary Study on Mechanical Properties of Heat-Treated Wood via in-situ Synthesis of Calcium Carbonate显示文摘This study aims to improve the value of fast-growing wood and extend the heat-treated wood utilization using inorganic calcium carbonate(CaCO_(3))crystals via an in-situ synthesis method.CaCl_(2)and Na 2CO_(3)solutions with a concentration ratio of 1:1 were successively introduced into the thermally modified poplar wood obtained by steam heat treatment(HT)at 200℃for 1.5 and 3 h,resulting in the in-situ synthesis of CaCO_(3)crystals inside the heat-treated wood.The filling effect was best at the concentration of 1.2 mol/L.CaCO_(3)was uniformly distributed in the cell cavities of the heat-treated wood,and some of the crystals were embedded in the fissures of the wood cell walls.The morphology of CaCO_(3)crystals was mainly spherical and rhombic polyhedral.Three main types of CaCO_(3)crystals were calcite,vaterite,and aragonite.The HT of poplar wood at 200℃resulted in degrading the chemical components of the wood cell wall.This degradation led to reduced wood mechanical properties,including the surface hardness(HD),modulus of rupture(MOR),and modulus of elasticity(MOE).After CaCO_(3)was in-situ synthesized in the heat-treated wood,the HD increased by 18.36%and 16.35%,and MOR increased by 14.64%and 8.89%,respectively.Because of the CaCO_(3)synthesization,the char residue of the 200℃heat-treated wood samples increased by 9.31%and the maximum weight loss rate decreased by 19.80%,indicating that the filling with CaCO_(3)cannot only improve the mechanical properties of the heat-treated wood but also effectively enhance its thermal stability.Dianen Liang Zhenhao Ding Qilin Yan Redžo Hasanagić Leila Fathi Zi Yang Longhao Li Jianbo Wang Houhua Luo Qian Wang Demiao Chu 2023Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,1:0
