Noxious invasive Eupatorium adenophorum may be a moving target:Implications of the finding of a native natural enemy,Dorylus orientalis显示文摘Eupatorium adenophorum is a noxious invasive weed that is distributed throughout subtropical areas worldwide.Enemy release may be at least one of the reasons underlying its success as an invader. In this study,we observed damage to the epidermis, cortex, phloem, cambium, and xylem tissues of roots and stems around the root collar of E.adenophorum growing in an experimental field in Yunnan Province, southwest China. The damage was caused by Dorylus orientalis,a polyphagous ant feeding on the weed and resulted in the death of the plants by interrupting nutrient exchange between shoots and roots. This ant showed selectivity for the invader to some extent. The finding of D.orientalis and other native enemies indicate that E.adenophorum may gradually naturalize in introduced landscapes. In addition, this ant may have potential for use as a biocontrol agent against the invader.NIU YanFen FENG YuLong XIE JianLei LUO FuCheng 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,33:10
Comparative study of big data of global adakites and mineralization-related granite in the Geza arc metallogenic belt, northwest Yunnan, Southwest China显示文摘The Geza arc is an important part of the Sanjiang tectono-magmatic belt and is a newly discovered copper polymetallic ore concentration area in northwest Yunnan province,Southwest China. The area comprises numerous metal ore deposits, including one super-largedeposit,three large deposits, etc. The formation of these deposits was closely related to intermediate–acidic magmatic intrusions.Based on previous studies, the“big data”analysis technique was used for a comparative study of large geochemical datasets of granite related to ore-formation in the Geza porphyry copper deposit and global adakites. As a result,1313 element combinations and 127,765 overlap ratios were obtained. The results show that the Geza porphyry has similar geochemical characteristics to global adakites(the ratios of REE and Ga to major elements are in the range of global adakites). However, theCu,Mo,and Zn contents of the porphyry are significantly higher than those of global adakites, and the porphyry may, therefore, represent an end-member of the global range of adakite composition. In addition, the geochemistry of adakites associated with the porphyry copper deposits overlaps in part with that of global adakites, although most of the data lie outside of the range of global adakites(i.e.lowMn/Cu,Sr/Cu,Na/Cu,and Zr/Cu values, and high Th/Cu,Ba/Cu,Na/Mo,Rb/Mo,Th/Mo,Ta/Mo,Ba/Mo,Mn/Zn,and Ba/Znvalues).The samples with characteristics that deviate significantly from the geochemistry of global adakites show more advanced mineralization and alteration, and a stronger relationship with Cu and Momineralization. The results of geochemical data mining can be used as a prospecting indicator, and provide a new scientific basis for geological prospecting of the deep levels and per-iphery of the Geza Cu polymetallic ore belt.Liu Xuelong Li Wenchang Zhang Qi Zhang Na Zhang Changzhen Luo Ying Wang Shuaishuai Yang Fucheng Chen Jianhang Li Zhenhuan 2018Big Earth Data2018,2,3:1
Neurogenesis in primates versus rodents and the value of non-human primate models显示文摘Neurogenesis, the process of generating neurons from neural stem cells, occurs during both embryonic and adult stages, with each stage possessing distinct characteristics. Dysfunction in either stage can disrupt normal neural development, impair cognitive functions, and lead to various neurological disorders. Recent technological advancements in single-cell multiomics and gene-editing have facilitated investigations into primate neurogenesis. Here, we provide a comprehensive overview of neurogenesis across rodents, non-human primates, and humans, covering embryonic development to adulthood and focusing on the conservation and diversity among species. While non-human primates, especially monkeys, serve as valuable models with closer neural resemblance to humans, we highlight the potential impacts and limitations of non-human primate models on both physiological and pathological neurogenesis research.Runrui Zhang Hongxin Quan Yinfeng Wang Fucheng Luo 2023National Science Review2023,10,11:1
TSR: algorithm of image hole-filling based on three-step repairing显示文摘In order to solve the hole-filling mismatch problem in virtual view synthesis, a three-step repairing(TSR) algorithm was proposed. Firstly, the image with marked holes is decomposed by the non-subsampled shear wave transform(NSST), which will generate high-/low-frequency sub-images with different resolutions. Then the improved Criminisi algorithm was used to repair the texture information in the high-frequency sub-images, while the improved curvature driven diffusion(CDD) algorithm was used to repair the low-frequency sub-images with the image structure information. Finally, the repaired parts of high-frequency and low-frequency sub-images are synthesized to obtain the final image through inverse NSST. Experiments show that the peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR) of the TSR algorithm is improved by an average of 2-3 dB and 1-2 dB compared with the Criminisi algorithm and the nearest neighbor interpolation(NNI) algorithm, respectively.Li Fucheng Deng Junyong Zhu Yun Luo Jiaying Ren Han 2022The Journal of China Universities of Posts and Telecommunications2022,29,5:1
Prediction of fracture characteristic of particle-reinforced alumina-based composites显示文摘Residual microstresses in particle reinforced alumina/SiC and alumina/mullite composites were calcu- lated. The results indicated that there existed a linear relation between matrix microstresses and the particle contents in the composites. The influence of stress state on crack propagating and grain boundary strengthening was analyzed. Ratios of grain boundary toughness to grain toughness of these composites were calculated in view of microstress analysis, and percentage of transgranular fracture (PTF) that increases with the microstress in the alumina matrix was then deduced. The relationship between microstructure, component, matrix microstresses, and PTF was established. Therefore, the fracture characteristic was predicted on basis of the particle content and distribution in addition to the microstructure of the composites.LUO HaiHui ZHANG FuCheng WANG TianSheng 2009Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,4:1

-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium ion induces endoplasmic reticulum stress through glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta activation in PC12 cells显示文摘1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium ion (MPP+) induces endoplasmic reticulum stress and activates caspase-12 in PC12 cells, leading to neuronal apoptosis. However, the underlying molecular mechanism remains unknown. The present study investigated the regulatory effects of nerve growth factor (Akt activator) and lithium chloride (glycogen synthase kinase-3β inhibitor) on the endoplasmic reticulum stress signaling pathway. The results revealed that MPP+ induced expression of Bip and C/EBP homologous protein. The upregulation of Bip and C/EBP homologous protein, as well as the decreased pro-caspase-12 level induced by MPP+ were inhibited by pretreatment of the nerve growth factor or lithium chloride. These results suggest that the phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase-Akt- glycogen synthase kinase-3β pathway is involved in MPP+-induced endoplasmic reticulum stress.Shengdong Wang Fucheng Luo Yan Chen Lei Qi Jie Bai 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,11:1
