| 1 | Diagnosis of bile duct hepatocellular carcinoma thrombus without obvious intrahepatic mass显示文摘AIM:To study the diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)presenting as bile duct tumor thrombus with no detectable intrahepatic mass.METHODS:Six patients with pathologically proven bile duct HCC thrombi but no intrahepatic mass demonstrated on the preoperative imaging or palpated intrahepatic mass during operative exploration,were collected.Their clinical and imaging data were retrospectively analyzed.The major findings or signs on comprehensive imaging were correlated with the surgical and pathologic findings.RESULTS:Jaundice was the major clinical symptom of the patients.The elevated serum total bilirubin,direct bilirubin and alanine aminotransferase levels were in concordance with obstructive jaundice and the underlying liver disease.Of the 6 patients showing evidence of viral hepatitis,5 were positive for serum alpha fetoprotein and carbohydrate antigen 19-9,and 1 was positive for serum carcinoembryonic antigen.No patient was correctly diagnosed by ultrasound.The main features of patients on comprehensive imaging were filling defects with cup-shaped ends of the bile duct,with large filling defects presenting as casting moulds in the expanded bile duct,hypervascular intraluminal nodules,debris or blood clots in the bile duct.No obvious circular thickening of the bile duct walls was observed.CONCLUSION:Even with no detectable intrahepatic tumor,bile duct HCC thrombus should be considered in patients predisposed to HCC,and some imaging signs are indicative of its diagnosis. | Long XY Li YX Wu W Li L Cao J. | 2010 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2010，16，39： | 11 |

| 3 | The role of endoscopy in the management of hereditary diffuse gastric cancer syndrome显示文摘Hereditary diffuse gastric cancer(HDGC) syndrome is an inherited cancer risk syndrome associated with path-ogenic germline CDH1 variants. Given the high risk for developing diffuse gastric cancer, CDH1 carriers are recommended to undergo prophylactic total gastrectomy for cancer risk reduction. Current guidelines recommend upper endoscopy in CDH1 carriers prior to surgery and then annually for individuals deferring prophylactic total gastrectomy.Management of individuals from HDGC families without CDH1 pathogenic variants remains less clear, and management of families with CDH1 pathogenic variants in the absence of a family history of gastric cancer is particularly problematic at present. Despite adherence to surveillance protocols, endoscopic detection of cancer foci in HDGC is suboptimal and imperfect for facilitating decision-making. Alternative endoscopic modalities, such as chromoendoscopy,endoscopic ultrasound, and other non-white light methods have been utilized,but are of limited utility to further improve cancer detection and risk stratification in HDGC. Herein, we review what is known and what remains unclear about endoscopic surveillance for HDGC, among individuals with and without germline CDH1 pathogenic variants. | 5 | Digital spiral object identification using random light显示文摘Photons that are entangled or correlated in orbital angular momentum have been extensively used for remote sensing,object identification and imaging.It has recently been demonstrated that intensity fluctuations give rise to the formation of correlations in the orbital angular momentum components and angular positions of random light.Here we demonstrate that the spatial signatures and phase information of an object with rotational symmetries can be identified using classical orbital angular momentum correlations in random light.The Fourier components imprinted in the digital spiral spectrum of the object,as measured through intensity correlations,unveil its spatial and phase information.Sharing similarities with conventional compressive sensing protocols that exploit sparsity to reduce the number of measurements required to reconstruct a signal,our technique allows sensing of an object with fewer measurements than other schemes that use pixel-by-pixel imaging.One remarkable advantage of our technique is that it does not require the preparation of fragile quantum states of light and operates at both low-and high-light levels.In addition,our technique is robust against environmental noise,a fundamental feature of any realistic scheme for remote sensing. | Zhe Yang Omar S Magaña-Loaiza Mohammad Mirhosseini Yiyu Zhou Boshen Gao Lu Gao Seyed Mohammad Hashemi Rafsanjani Gui-Lu Long Robert W Boyd | 2017 | Light(Science & Applications)2017，6，1： | 2 |
