| 1 | Acrylamide exposure impairs blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier function显示文摘Previous studies show that chronic acrylamide exposure leads to central and peripheral neuropathy. However, the underlying mechanisms remained unclear. In this study, we examined the permeability of the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier, and its ability to secrete transthyretin and transport leptin of rats exposed to acrylamide for 7, 14, 21 or 28 days. Transthyretin levels in cerebrospinal fluid began to decline on day 7 after acrylamide exposure. The sodium fluorescein level in cerebrospinal fluid was increased on day 14 after exposure. Evans blue concentration in cerebrospinal fluid was increased and the cerebrospinal fluid/serum leptin ratio was decreased on days 21 and 28 after exposure. In comparison, the cerebrospinal fluid/serum albumin ratio was increased on day 28 after exposure. Our findings show that acrylamide exposure damages the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier and impairs secretory and transport functions. | 2 | Green and Near-Infrared Dual-Mode Afterglow of Carbon Dots and Their Applications for Confidential Information Readout显示文摘Near-infrared(NIR),particularly NIR-containing dual-/multimode afterglow,is very attractive in many fields of application,but it is still a great challenge to achieve such property of materials. Herein,we report a facile method to prepare green and NIR dual-mode afterglow of carbon dots(CDs) through in situ embedding o-CDs(being prepared from o-phenylenediamine) into cyanuric acid(CA) matrix(named o-CDs@CA). Further studies reveal that the green and NIR afterglows of o-CDs@CA originate from thermal activated delayed fluorescence(TADF) and room temperature phosphorescence(RTP) of o-CDs,respectively. In addition,the formation of covalent bonds between o-CDs and CA,and the presence of multiple fixation and rigid e ects to the triplet states of o-CDs are confirmed to be critical for activating the observed dual-mode afterglow. Due to the shorter lifetime and insensitiveness to human vision of the NIR RTP of o-CDs@CA,it is completely covered by the green TADF during directly observing. The NIR RTP signal,however,can be readily captured if an optical filter(cut-o wavelength of 600 nm) being used. By utilizing these unique features,the applications of o-CDs@CA in anti-counterfeiting and information encryption have been demonstrated with great confidentiality. | 4 | Synthesis and Properties of UV-curable Hyperbranched Polyurethane and Its Application in the Negative-type Photoresist显示文摘UV-curable hyperbranched polyurethane(UV-HBPU) containing carboxyl groups was synthesized from isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI), diethanolamine(DEOA), polyethylene glycol(PEG-400), hydroxyethyl acrylate(HEA), and 2,2-bis(hydroxymethyl) propionic acid(DMPA). The UV-HBPU was used as a negative-type photoresist for a printed circuit board(PCB). Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) and proton nuclear magnetic resonance(1HNMR) spectroscopy of UV-HBPUs indicated that the synthesis was successful. Differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) showed that the thermal stability of the UV-HBPUs decreased as the HEA content increased. | 5 | A chromosome-level genome assembly reveals that a bipartite gene cluster formed via an inverted duplication controls monoterpenoid biosynthesis in Schizonepeta tenuifolia显示文摘Biosynthetic gene clusters(BGCs)are regions of a genome where genes involved in a biosynthetic pathway are in proximity.The origin and evolution of plant BGCs as well as their role in specialized metabolism remain largely unclear.In this study,we have assembled a chromosome-scale genome of Japanese catnip(Schizonepeta tenuifolia)and discovered a BGC that contains multiple copies of genes involved in four adjacent steps in the biosynthesis of p-menthane monoterpenoids.This BGC has an unprecedented bipartite structure,with mirrored biosynthetic regions separated by 260 kilobases.This bipartite BGC includes identical copies of a gene encoding an old yellow enzyme,a type of flavin-dependent reductase.In vitro assays and virus-induced gene silencing revealed that this gene encodes the missing isopiperitenone reductase.This enzyme evolved from a completely different enzyme family to isopiperitenone reductase from closely related Mentha spp.,indicating convergent evolution of this pathway step.Phylogenomic analysis revealed that this bipartite BGC has emerged uniquely in the S.tenuifolia lineage and through insertion of pathway genes into a region rich in monoterpene synthases.The cluster gained its bipartite structure via an inverted duplication.The discovered bipartite BGC for p-menthane biosynthesis in S.tenuifolia has similarities to the recently described duplicated p-menthane biosynthesis gene pairs in the Mentha longifolia genome,providing an example of the convergent evolution of gene order.This work expands our understanding of plant BGCs with respect to both form and evolution,and highlights the power of BGCs for gene discovery in plant biosynthetic pathways. | Chanchan Liu Samuel J.Smit Jingjie Dang Peina Zhou Grant T.Godden Zheng Jiang Wukun Liu Licheng Liui Wei Lin Jinao Duan Qinan Wu Benjamin R.Lichman | 2023 | Molecular Plant2023,16,3: | 2 |
| 6 | The Late Cretaceous source-to-sink system at the eastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau:Insights from the provenance of the Lanping Basin显示文摘The surface uplift of the Tibetan Plateau(TP)and its geomorphology evolution has triggered aridification of Asia's interior and drainage development at the eastern margin of the plateau.However,how the pre-Cenozoic early growth histories of the TP impact the drainage system and climate is poorly constrained.The Late Mesozoic Lacustrine evaporite-bearing basins on the eastern margin of the TP record significant information on the uplift of the source terranes,source-to-sink system development and climate change.In this study,we presented detrital zircon U-Pb ages from the Upper Cretaceous Yunlong Formation in the Lanping Basin,as well as Hf isotopic,petrographic,direct statistical,and multidimensional scaling analyses,and use them to characterize the provenance and reconstruct the drainage system.All of the samples have five major age peaks at 200-290 Ma,400-490 Ma,750-1000 Ma,1750-1950 Ma,and 2400-2600 Ma with mostly negativeε_(Hf)(t)values(81%).We infer the sediments are primarily derived from recycled sediments of the Songpan-Garze terrane,and partly from the Sichuan Basin and the Southern Qiangtang terrane,as well as the exposed magmatic rocks of the Yidun Arc and SongpanGarze terrane.The provenance features of the contemporaneous sediments from the Sichuan,Xichang,Chuxiong,and Simao basins indicate a complex hierarchical drainage pattern on the eastern margin of the TP during the Late Cretaceous.The hierarchical drainage system exhibits a complete gradational cycle of lake-basin types from overfilled freshwater Sichuan Basin through balanced fill saline Xichang Basin and underfilled hypersaline Chuxiong,Lanping,Simao,and Khorat Plateau basins from proximal to distal.The early growth of the TP primarily controlled the drainage and lake-basin evolution by not only causing the uplift and exhumation of the source areas and providing large amounts of clastic material to the proximal sub-drainage areas but also intensifying the aridity and deposition of evaporites. | Licheng Wang Lijian Shen Chenglin Liu Ke Chen Lin Ding Chengshan Wang | 2021 | Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,3: | 2 |
| 7 | Effects of dynamic deformation of pendant water drops on the electric field between hollow porcelain insulator sheds under extreme rainfall显示文摘Hollow porcelain insulators in substations are frequently confronted with rain flashovers under extreme rainfall.This study aims to investigate the spatial and temporal variation of electric fields between hollow porcelain insulator sheds affected by dynamic deformation of pendant water drops and effects of the dimensionless number of fluids,the Weber number(We)and the electric Bond number(BoE),on it for influencing factors'analysis.Flow‐electric field coupling simulations were carried out to compute the magnitude and the position of AC electric fields between the sheds.The results show that the maximum electric field at a point in time(Etmax)increases significantly after the breakup of the pendant water drop,and its position alters accordingly.For low We and BoE,the global maximum electric field(Egmax)increases with increasing We and BoE,respectively.It is much closer to the adjacent sheds and occurs later than Etmax at the breakup of the pendant water drop(Ebmax).By contrast,Egmax decreases in different degrees at high We and BoE,respectively.There is little difference between Egmax and Ebmax in the position and the occurring time.The influence mechanism on the maximum electric field and discharges and the relationship between discharges induced by the pendant water drop and rain flashover are discussed. | Yijie Sun Lin Yang Gaofeng Shang Zhiqiang Kuang Yifan Liao Yanpeng Hao Licheng Li | 2022 | High Voltage2022,7,1: | 2 |
| 8 | A non-wetting and conductive polyethylene dioxothiophene hole transport layer for scalable and flexible perovskite solar cells显示文摘The regulated crystallization of perovskite and highly repeatable preparation are decisive challenges for large-scale flexible perovskite solar cells(PSCs).Herein,we synthesize an oil-soluble poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(Oil-PEDOT)as a hole transport layer(HTL).The non-wetting Oil-PEDOT HTL can promote the quality of large-area flexible perovskite films because of its optimized crystallinity and printability.The Oil-PEDOT layer also delivers desirable conductivity and charge transport without a complex doping.Consequently,the flexible PSCs with Oil-PEDOT HTL achieve an efficiency of 19.51%and 16.70%based on 1.05 and 22.50 cm^(2),respectively.Moreover,these large-scale flexible PSCs demonstrate remarkable mechanical robustness,and the efficiency exhibits 93%retention after 7,000 bending cycles.These results show that the Oil-PEDOT is a potentially efficient HTL for fabricating efficient large-scale flexible PSCs. | Chenxiang Gong Lin Zhang Xiangchuan Meng Zhi Xing Li Rao Hongyu Wang Zengqi Huang Licheng Tan Ting Hu Xiaotian Hu Yiwang Chen | 2021 | Science China Chemistry2021,64,5: | 1 |

| 17 | Generation of color-controllable room-temperature phosphorescence via luminescent center engineering and in-situ immobilization显示文摘Materials with controllable luminescence colors are highly desirable for numerous promising applications, however, the preparation of such materials, particularly with color-controllable room-temperature phosphorescence(RTP), remains a formidable challenge. In this work, we reported on a facile strategy to prepare color-controllable RTP materials via the pyrolysis of a mixture containing 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-urea(H-urea) and boric acid(BA). By controlling the pyrolysis temperatures, the as-prepared materials exhibited ultralong RTP with emission colors ranging from cyan, green, to yellow. Further studies revealed that multiple luminescent centers formed from H-urea, which were in-situ embedded in the B2O3matrix(produced from BA) during the pyrolysis process. The contents of the different luminescent centers could be regulated by the pyrolysis temperatures, resulting in color-tunable RTP. Significantly, the luminescent center engineering and in-situ immobilization strategy not only provided a facile method for conveniently preparing color-controllable RTP materials, but also endowed the materials prepared at relatively lower temperatures with color-changeable RTP features under thermal stimulus.
