| 1 | Effect of heat treatment on mechanical properties of heavily cold-rolled Fe-6.5wt%Si alloy sheet显示文摘Fe-6.5wt%Si alloy has excellent soft magnetic properties,but it is hard to be cold-rolled due to appearance of ordered phases in this alloy.In this paper we report that ultra thin Fe-6.5wt%Si sheet of 0.05 mm thick was obtained by heavily cold rolling.By means of optical microscope,micro-hardness indenter,instron,SEM and X-ray diffraction,the effect of heat treatment on mechanical properties of this alloy sheet was investigated.The heavily cold-rolled sheet exhibits some extent of ductility.The ultimate tensile strength reaches 1.93 GPa.After heat treatment,micro-hardness is decreased and the ductility is lost,especially at temperature above 650℃ when recrystallization takes place.The reason for decreasing the ductility lies in the ordered DO3 phase transformation. | LIANG YongFeng,YE Feng,LIN JunPin,WANG YanLi,ZHANG LaiQi & CHEN GuoLiang State Key Laboratory for Advanced Metals and Materials,University of Science and Technology Beijing,Beijing 100083,China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,4: | 10 |
| 2 | Dynamic recrystallization during hot torsion of Al-4Mg alloy显示文摘Binary Al-4Mg alloy have been deformed by hot torsion at 300-500℃ and strain rates of 0,006-1.587 s-1 to a true strainof 5.5. The specimens were annealed in vacuum for 1.5 h at 500℃ and then water quenched. The study indicates that the dynamicrecrystallization occurs during hot torsion of Al-4Mg alloy in a certain range of Z parameter (Zener-Hollmon Parameter), i.e. 19.3 ≤lnZ ≤ 24.8. | 3 | Role of yttrium in glass formation of Ti-based bulk metallic glasses显示文摘Starting with Zr of two different purities, Ti-based bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) with a nominal composition of Ti40Zr25Cu12Ni3Be20 were prepared. The effect of the addition of yttrium at levels of 0.2 at.%, 0.4 at.%, 0.5 at.%, 0.6 at.%, and 1 at.% on the glass forming ability (GFA) of the alloy has been investigated by means of metallography, X-ray diffraction, and differential scanning calorimetry. Experimental data in-dicates that high impurity content dramatically reduces the glass forming ability. Microalloying with 0.5 at.% Y is effective in suppressing the crystalline phase formation and alleviating the detrimental effect of oxygen in the low-purity alloy. On the contrary, in the alloy contain-ing high-purity element, the effective yttrium addition is less than 0.4 at.%. | 6 | Strain rate sensitivity of tensile properties in high Nb containing TiAl alloys显示文摘The effect of strain rate on the yield strength of high Nb containing TiAl alloy was studied. The results show that the strain rate sensitivity varies with the test temperature, and the yield strength is not sensitive to the strain rate at room temperature but sig- nificantly sensitive to the strain rate at high temperature. An increase of the strain rate or a decrease of the temperature results in an obvious change of fracture mode. | 7 | Diffusion behavior of Nb element in high Nb containing TiAl Alloys by reactive hot pressing显示文摘Diffusion behavior of Nb in elemental powder metallurgy high Nb containing TiAl alloys was investigated. The results show that Nb element dissolves into the matrix by diffusion. Pore nests are formed in situ after Nb diffusion. With the increase in hot pressing temperature, the diffusion of Nb will be more sufficient, and the microstructure is more homo-geneous. Nb element diffuses completely at 1400°C. Meanwhile, compression deformation and agglomeration phenomena of pores are observed in some pore nests. | 15 | Determination of stacking fault energies in a high-Nb TiAl alloy at 298 K and 1273 K显示文摘The stacking fault energies of Ti-46Al-8.5Nb-0.2W alloy at 298 K and 1273 K were determined. The principle for the determination of the stacking fault energies is based on the fact that the stacking fault energy and the elastic interaction energy acting on the dissociated partial dislocations are equal. After the compress deformations with the strain of 0.2% at 298 K and 1273 K, and water quench to maintain the dislocation structures deformed at 1273 K, the dissociation distances between two partial dislocations were determined by weak beam transmission electron microscopy (WBTEM) technique. | 19 | ω_o phase precipitation in annealed high Nb containing TiAl alloys显示文摘The ordered ω phases in high Nb containing Ti Al(Nb-Ti Al) alloys have been garnering increasing attention in the recent years. However, the investigations on the Nb dependence on the ωoprecipitation are scarce. In this study, the effect of Nb content on the ωoprecipitation in high Nb(6–10 at%) containing Ti Al alloys after long-time annealing at 850 1C has been studied. The results show that small ordered ω particles in the retained βophase cannot be discerned under scanning electron microscope(SEM) but can be observed using transmission electron microscopy(TEM). Although the Nb segregation can be eliminated after the homogenization heat treatment, the ωophase precipitated in all the alloys studied after annealing at 850 1C. TEM examination reveals that the orientation relationship between the ωoand α2phases can be derived as: [0001]ωo//[1120]α2;(1120)ωo//(0001)α2, which indicates that the ωophase is directly transformed from the parent α2phase. Small γ particles are also observed within the ωoareas. The α2-ωot γ decomposition process is expected during annealing. The results showed that the density of the sample hot pressed at 1400°C could reach a near full density of 98.37%. However, the densification abnormality was observed at 1500°C. The diffusion of elemental Nb during microstructural evolution is an important aspect affecting densification, which will form pore nests. With the increase of hot pressing temperature, the diffusion of Nb becomes more adequate.
