1Microenvironmental influences on T cell immunity in cancer and inflammation显示文摘T cell metabolism is dynamic and highly regulated.While the intrinsic metabolic programs of T cell subsets are integral to their distinct differentiation and functional patterns,the ability of cells to acquire nutrients and cope with hostile microenvironments can limit these pathways.T cells must function in a wide variety of tissue settings,and how T cells interpret these signals to maintain an appropriate metabolic program for their demands or if metabolic mechanisms of immune suppression restrain immunity is an area of growing importance.Both in inflamed and cancer tissues,a wide range of changes in physical conditions and nutrient availability are now acknowledged to shape immunity.These include fever and increased temperatures,depletion of critical micro and macro-nutrients,and accumulation of inhibitory waste products.Here we review several of these factors and how the tissue microenvironment both shapes and constrains immunity.Darren R.Heintzman Emilie L.Fisher Jeffrey C.Rathmell 2022Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,3:2
2Gender and managerial competence:a comparison of male and female first-line nurse managers in Indonesia显示文摘Objective:First-line nurse managers are more likely to work according to gender beliefs and stereotypes,which may affect their managerial competence.This study is aimed at comparing managerial competence of male and female first-line nurse managers in public hospitals in Indonesia.Methods:This study employed a descriptive comparative approach with a cross-sectional survey with a total of 256 participants selected from 18 public hospitals.To measure managerial competence,the managerial competence scale for Indonesian first-line nurse managers was used.Data were analyzed using descriptive analyses using mean,standard deviation,and Independent t-test.Results:Managerial competence of male and female first-line nurse managers was not significantly different(P=0.555).Female nurse managers descriptively reported/received higher ranking in facilitating spiritual nursing care,managing self,staffing and professional development,utilizing informatics,and applying quality care improvement.Male nurse managers repor ted higher in leadership and financial management.Conclusions:Female and male first-line nurse managers should be treated equally for leadership and managerial development.Joko Gunawan Yupin Aungsuroch Mary L.Fisher Anna M.McDaniel 2021Frontiers of Nursing2021,8,1:1

7CRISPR-mediated genome editing and human diseases显示文摘CRISPR(Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats)technology has emerged as a powerful technology for genome editing and is now widely used in basic biomedical research to explore gene function.More recently,this technology has been increasingly applied to the study or treatment of human diseases,including Barth syndrome effects on the heart,Duchenne muscular dystrophy,hemophilia,b-Thalassemia,and cystic fibrosis.CRISPR/Cas9(CRISPR-associated protein 9)genome editing has been used to correct diseasecausing DNA mutations ranging from a single base pair to large deletions in model systems ranging from cells in vitro to animals in vivo.In addition to genetic diseases,CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing has also been applied in immunology-focused applications such as the targeting of C-C chemokine receptor type 5,the programmed death 1 gene,or the creation of chimeric antigen receptors in T cells for purposes such as the treatment of the acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS)or promoting anti-tumor immunotherapy.Furthermore,this technology has been applied to the genetic manipulation of domesticated animals with the goal of producing biologic medical materials,including molecules,cells or organs,on a large scale.Finally,CRISPR/Cas9 has been teamed with induced pluripotent stem(iPS)cells to perform multiple tissue engineering tasks including the creation of disease models or the preparation of donor-specific tissues for transplantation.This review will explore the ways in which the use of CRISPR/Cas9 is opening new doors to the treatment of human diseases.Liquan Cai Alfred L.Fisher Haochu Huang Zijian Xie Marshal 2016Genes & Diseases2016,3,4:1
8医院一线护士长核心能力要素的质性研究显示文摘目的在新常态背景下要应对不断出现的新挑战,临床一线护士长需要提高技能,以有效履行职责、发挥多重作用,亟需完善新形势下其核心能力指南或标准。本研究旨在探讨后疫情时代背景下印度尼西亚医院一线护理管理者的核心能力要素。方法2022年1—8月,在印度尼西亚的1所公立医院选择7名有新型冠状病毒疫情期间护理管理经验的一线护士长进行面对面访谈。对访谈内容进行录音,逐字逐句转录,并通过重新聆听进行验证。采用主题分析法对访谈资料进行分析。结果医院一线护理管理者的核心能力要素包括4个方面:管理核心能力,临床核心能力,科技核心能力,以及社会情感技能/个人特质(包括勇敢、迅捷、耐心、乐观、坚持和责任心)。结论研究结果表明,一线护士长的管理和临床核心能力必须保持一致,科技核心能力是两者的中间组成部分。个人特质对于一线护士长至关重要,因为这是他们的其他3个核心能力和成功的基础。Joko Gunawan Yupin Aungsuroch Mary L.Fisher Colleen Marzilli Nazliansyah Ety Hastuti 2023International Journal of Nursing Sciences2023,10,4:0
9护理工作环境指数量表印尼版跨文化调适及心理测量学分析显示文摘目的旨在翻译和验证印尼语版护理工作环境指数量表(the Practice Environment Scale of the Nursing Work Index,PES-NWI)在护士中应用的信效度。方法对PES-NWI进行翻译,并通过横断面研究验证其信效度。采用正向翻译、对比译文、反向翻译、对比译文,及采用二分量表进行初步测试5个步骤将英语版本问卷翻译为印尼语。30名住院部护士参与了量表可读性和可理解性检查。于2022年8—10月在印度尼西亚的17所医院选取350名护理人员参与调查。采用结构效度和收敛效度来评估量表的效度。采用Cronbach's α系数、项目总相关系数和组合信度指数来评估量表的信度。结果验证性因子分析显示,PES-NWI具有良好的拟合度,量表因子结构稳定。各维度的相关系数为0.70~0.88,条目的载荷值都高于0.6。量表维度的收敛效度为0.61~0.74。Cronbach's α系数为0.97,修正后的项目总相关系数0.62~0.85,各个维度的组合信度指数均高于0.89。结论印尼版PES-NWI具有良好的同质性和结构效度,护理管理人员可以使用它来衡量工作环境。I Gede Juanamasta Yupin Aungsuroch Mary L.Fisher Siluh Nyoman Alit Nuryani Ni Nyoman Ayuningsih 2023International Journal of Nursing Sciences2023,10,4:0
