2A Bayesian approach for integrating multilevel priors and data for aerospace system reliability assessment显示文摘This paper investigates Bayesian methods for aerospace system reliability analysis using various sources of test data and expert knowledge at both subsystem and system levels.Four scenarios based on available information for the priors and test data of a system and/or subsystems are studied using specific Bayesian inference techniques.This paper proposes the Bayesian melding method for integrating subsystem-level priors with system-level priors for both system-and subsystem-level reliability analysis.System and subsystem reliability outcomes are compared under different scenarios.Computational challenges for posterior inferences using the sophisticated Bayesian melding method are addressed using Markov Chain Monte Carlo(MCMC) and adaptive Sampling Importance Re-sampling(SIR) methods.A case study with simulation results illustrates the applications of the proposed methods and provides insights for aerospace system reliability analysis using available multilevel information.Jian GUO Zhaojun LI Thomas KEYSER 2018Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2018,31,1:5
3Model Identification of a Micro Air Vehicle显示文摘This paper is focused on the model identification of a Micro Air Vehicle (MAV) in straight steady flight condition. The identification is based on input-output data collected from flight tests using both frequency and time domain techniques. The vehicle is an in-house 40 cm wingspan airplane. Because of the complex coupled, multivariable and nonlinear dynamics of the aircraft, linear SISO structures for both the lateral and longitudinal models around a reference state were derived. 4Identification and substrate prediction of new Fragaria x ananassa aquaporins and expression in different tissues and during strawberry fruit development显示文摘The newly identified aquaporin coding sequences presented here pave the way for further insights into the plant–water relations in the commercial strawberry(Fragaria x ananassa).Aquaporins are water channel proteins that allow water to cross(intra)cellular membranes.In Fragaria x ananassa,few of them have been identified hitherto,hampering the exploration of the water transport regulation at cellular level.Here,we present new aquaporin coding sequences belonging to different subclasses:plasma membrane intrinsic proteins subtype 1 and subtype 2(PIP1 and PIP2)and tonoplast intrinsic proteins(TIP).The classification is based on phylogenetic analysis and is confirmed by the presence of conserved residues.Substrate-specific signature sequences(SSSSs)and specificity-determining positions(SDPs)predict the substrate specificity of each new aquaporin.Expression profiling in leaves,petioles and developing fruits reveals distinct patterns,even within the same(sub)class.Expression profiles range from leaf-specific expression over constitutive expression to fruit-specific expression.Both upregulation and downregulation during fruit ripening occur.Substrate specificity and expression profiles suggest that functional specialization exists among aquaporins belonging to a different but also to the same(sub)class.Britt Merlaen Ellen De Keyser Marie-Christine Van Labeke 2018Horticulture Research2018,5,1:2
