| 6 | Improvement of Magnetic Field on Tribological Properties of Lubricating Oils with Zinc Butyloctyldithiophosphate显示文摘Tribological properties of 150 SN mineral oil and the oils doped with different contents of zinc butyloctyldithiophosphate(T202) under magnetic field or non-magnetic field were evaluated on a four-ball tribotester by applying an external magnetic field around the friction region. Moreover, the morphology and the tribochemical characteristics of worn surfaces were examined by a scanning electron microscope(SEM) and an X-ray photoelectron spectrometer(XPS). Then the lubrication mechanisms were discussed. The tribological test results indicated that the wear scar diameters(WSDs) of steel balls lubricated by the T202-containing lubricating oils and the friction coefficients of the corresponding oil under magnetic field were smaller than those without magnetic affection. The worn surface lubricated with the T202-formulated oils in a magnetic field was smoother than that obtained under the normal condition. Furthermore, the results of XPS analysis indicated that tribochemical films on the surfaces lubricated with T202-doped oils were mainly composed of compounds such as FeSO_4, FeS and ZnS. The atomic concentrations of oxygen, sulfur, iron, zinc and phosphorus species identified in T202 under magnetic field were higher than those without magnetic impact. | 10 | Silver Nanowire Electrodes: Conductivity Improvement Without Post-treatment and Application in Capacitive Pressure Sensors显示文摘Transparent electrode based on silver nanowires(Ag NWs) emerges as an outstanding alternative of indium tin oxide film especially for flexible electronics. However, the conductivity of Ag NWs transparent electrode is still dramatically limited by the contact resistance between nanowires at high transmittance. Polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP) layer adsorbed on the nanowire surface acts as an electrically insulating barrier at wire–wire junctions, and some devastating post-treatment methods are proposed to reduce or eliminate PVP layer, which usually limit the application of the substrates susceptible to heat or pressure and burden the fabrication with high-cost, time-consuming, or inefficient processes. In this work, a simple and rapid pre-treatment washing method was proposed to reduce the thickness of PVP layer from 13.19 to0.96 nm and improve the contact between wires. Ag NW electrodes with sheet resistances of 15.6 and 204 X sq-1have been achieved at transmittances of 90 and 97.5 %, respectively. This method avoided any post-treatments and popularized the application of high-performance Ag NW transparent electrode on more substrates. | 11 | Lubricant Biodegradation Enhancers: Designed Chemistry and Engineered Technology显示文摘In recent decades, a growing worldwide trend of developing the biodegradable lubricants has been prevailing to form a specific field of green chemistry and green engineering. Enhancement of biodegradability of unreadily biodegradable petroleum-based lubricants has as such become an urgent must. For over a decade the authors have been focusing on the improvement of biodegradability of unreadily biodegradable lubricants such as petroleum-based lubricating oils and greases. A new idea of lubricant biodegradation enhancer was put forward by the authors with the aim to stimulate the biodegradation of unreadily biodegradable lubricants by incorporating the enhancer into the lubricants in order to turn the lubricants into greener biodegradable ones and to help in situ bioremediation of lubricant-contaminated environment. This manuscript summarizes our recent efforts relating to the chemistry and technology of biodegradation enhancers for lubricants. Firstly, the chemistry of lubricant biodegradation enhancers was designed based on the principles of bioremediation for the treatment of hydrocarbon contaminated environment. Secondly, the ability of the designed biodegradation enhancers for increasing the biodegradability of unreadily biodegradable industrial lubricants was investigated through biodegradability evaluation tests, microbial population analysis, and biodegradation kinetics modeling. Finally, the impact of biodegradation enhancers on some crucial performance characteristics of lubricants such as lubricity and oxidation stability was tested via tribological evaluation and oxidation determinations. Our results have shown that the designed chemistry of nitrogenous and/or phosphorous compounds such as lauroyl glutamine, oleoyl glycine, oleic diethanolamide phosphate and lauric diethanolamide borate was outstanding in boosting biodegradation of petroleum-based lubricants which was ascribed to increase the microbial population and decrease the oil-water interfacial tension during the biodegradation process. Lubricants doped with the biodegradation enhancers exhibited much better biodegradability and higher biodegradation rate in the surrounding soils which could be well modeled by the exponential biodegradation kinetics. Furthermore, as lubricant dopants, the biodegradation enhancers also provided excellent capability in reducing friction and wear and in retarding oxidation of lubricants. | 14 | The Surface Coating of Commercial LiFePO_4 by Utilizing ZIF-8 for High Electrochemical Performance Lithium Ion Battery显示文摘The requirement of energy-storage equipment needs to develop the lithium ion battery(LIB) with high electrochemical performance. The surface modification of commercial LiFePO_4(LFP) by utilizing zeolitic imidazolate frameworks-8(ZIF-8) offers new possibilities for commercial LFP with high electrochemical performances.In this work, the carbonized ZIF-8(C_(ZIF-8)) was coated on the surface of LFP particles by the in situ growth and carbonization of ZIF-8. Transmission electron microscopy indicates that there is an approximate 10 nm coating layer with metal zinc and graphite-like carbon on the surface of LFP/C_(ZIF-8) sample. The N_2 adsorption and desorptionisotherm suggests that the coating layer has uniform and simple connecting mesopores. As cathode material, LFP/C_(ZIF-8) cathode-active material delivers a discharge specific capacity of 159.3 m Ah g^(-1) at 0.1 C and a discharge specific energy of 141.7 m Wh g^(-1) after 200 cycles at 5.0 C(the retention rate is approximate 99%). These results are attributed to the synergy improvement of the conductivity,the lithium ion diffusion coefficient, and the degree of freedom for volume change of LFP/C_(ZIF-8) cathode. This article provides a brief overview of the function of the most prominent flaviviruses-induced or-hijacked cytoskeletal structures including actin, microtubules and intermediate filaments, mainly focus on infection by dengue virus, Zika virus and West Nile virus. | 17 | Activation of mitogen-activated protein kinases in satellite glial cells of the trigeminal ganglion contributes to substance P-mediated inflammatory pain显示文摘Inflammatory orofacial pain,in which substance P (SP) plays an important role,is closely related to the cross-talk between trigeminal ganglion (TG) neurons and satellite glial cells (SGCs).SGC activation is emerging as the key mechanism underlying inflammatory pain through different signalling mechanisms,including glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) activation,phosphorylation of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signalling pathways,and cytokine upregulation.However,in the TG,the mechanism underlying SP-mediated orofacial pain generated by SGCs is largely unknown.In this study,we investigated whether SP is involved in inflammatory orofacial pain by upregulating interleukin (IL)-1β and tumour necrosis factor (TNF)-α from SGCs,and we explored whether MAPK signalling pathways mediate the pain process.In the present study,complete Freund’s adjuvant (CFA) was injected into the whisker pad of rats to induce an inflammatory model in vivo.SP was administered to SGC cultures in vitro to confirm the effect of SP.Facial expression analysis showed that pre-injection of L703,606 (an NK-1 receptor antagonist),U0126 (an inhibitor of MAPK/extracellular signal-regulated kinase [ERK] kinase [MEK] 1/2),and SB203580 (an inhibitor of P38) into the TG to induce targeted prevention of the activation of the NK-1 receptor and the phosphorylation of MAPKs significantly suppressed CFA-induced inflammatory allodynia.In addition,SP promoted SGC activation,which was proven by increased GFAP,p-MAPKs,IL-1β and TNF-α in SGCs under inflammatory conditions.Moreover,the increase in IL-1β and TNF-α was suppressed by L703,606,U0126 and SB203580 in vivo and in vitro.These present findings suggested that SP,released from TG neurons,activated SGCs through the ERK1/2 and P38 pathways and promoted the production of IL-1β and TNF-α from SGCs,contributing to inflammatory orofacial pain associated with peripheral sensitization. | Yanyan Zhang Ning Song Fei Liu Jiu Lin Mengke Liu Chaolan Huang Daqing Liao Cheng Zhou Hang Wang Jiefei Shen | 2019 | International Journal of Oral Science2019,11,3: | 6 |
| 18 | Receptor tyrosine kinases positively regulate BACE activity and Amyloid-β production through enhancing BACE internalization显示文摘Amyloid-β (AP) peptide, the primary constituent of senile plaques in Alzheimer's disease (AD), is generated byβ-secretase- and γ-secretase-mediated sequential proteolysis of the amyloid precursor protein (APP). The aspartic pro-tease, β -site APP cleavage enzyme (BACE), has been identified as the main P-secretase in brain but the regulation of itsactivity is largely unclear. Here, we demonstrate that both BACE activity and subsequent Aβ production are enhancedafter stimulation of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs), such as the receptors for epidermal growth factor (EGF) and nervegrowth factor (NGF), in cultured cells as well as in mouse hippocampus. Furthermore, stimulation of RTKs also inducesBACE internalization into endosomes and Golgi apparatus. This enhancement of BACE activity and Aβ production uponRTK activation could be specifically inhibited by Src family kinase inhibitors and by depletion of endogenous c-Src withRNAi, and could be mimicked by over-expressed c-Src. Moreover, blockage of BACE internalization by a dominantnegative form of Rab5 also abolished the enhancement of BACE activity and Aβ production, indicating the requirementof BACE internalization for the enhanced activity. | 19 | Preparation and Electrochemical Properties of the Pd-modified Cu Electrode for Nitrate Reduction in Water显示文摘The Pd-modified Cu (Pd/Cu) electrodes for nitrate reduction were prepared using electro-deposition method at different potentials. Compared with other different electrodes so far studied in our work (Cu, Sn/Cu and Pd/Ti electrode) using cyclic voltammetry method, Pd/Cu electrode showed the highest electrocatalytic capacity of nitrate reduction. It was found that at more negative electrode potential the smaller Pd particles formed on the Cu electrode, which was beneficial to the nitrate reduction. With increasing deposition amount of Pd, the capacity of nitrate reduction increased. Too rich Pd, however, has a negative influence on the capacity of nitrate reduction. | 20 | Surgical treatment for primary angle closure-glaucoma: a Meta analysis显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of trabeculectomy,phacotrabeculectomy plus intraocular lens implantation(phacotrab+IOL group) and phacoemulsification with IOL(phaco+IOL) in primary angle-closure glaucoma(PACG).METHODS: It was a systematic review and meta-analysis,randomized controlled trials(RCT) and clinical controlled trials(CCT) were collected through electronic searches of the Cochrane Library,PubMed,EMbase,Wanfang Database online,Chinese journal Full-text Database,Chinese Scientific Journals Full-text Database (from the date of building the database to October 2010) We also checked the bibliographies of retrieved articles.All the related data that matched our standards were abstracted.The quality of included trials was evaluated according to the Dutch Cochrane Centre.RevMan 5.0 software was used for Meta-analysis.RESULTS: A total of 5 RCT and 11 CCT involving 1495 eyes were included.The results of meta-analysis showed that phacotrab+IOL group was superior than trabeculectomy(trab group) (MD -3.93,95%CI [-7.31,-0.54]) which was also superior than phaco+IOL group(MD 0.52,95%CI [0.10,0.95]) in decreasing Intraocular Pressure(IOP).Phacotrab group(MD -1.45,95%CI [-1.68,-1.22])and phaco group (MD-1.12,95%CI [-1.87,-0.37])are both deeper than trab group in the anterior chamber depth.In increasing the coefficient of outflow facility of aqueous humor(C values) there was no statistical difference in the three groups.And there was no statistical difference between phacotrab groups and phaco groups in visual acuity but phacotrab group was superior than phaco group (MD 1.07,95%CI [0.73,1.40])in the use of IOP-lowering drugs.There was no statistical difference among three groups.CONCLUSION: Current evidence suggests that phacotrab+ IOL group was superior than trab group which was also superior than phaco+IOL group in decreasing IOP.Phacotrab group and phaco group are both deeper than trab group in the anterior chamber depth.Phacotrab group was superior than phaco group in the use of IOP-lowering drugs. | Bo-Lin Deng, Jing Tian | 2011 | International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2011,4,3: | 5 |
