1Traditional Chinese Medicine etiology and pathogenesis of acquired immune deficiency syndrome in simian immunodeficiency virus-infected Chinese rhesus macaques显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) etiology and pathogenesis of acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS) by 18-month observation of Chinese rhesus macaques infected with simian immunodeficiency virus(SIV) mac 239.METHODS:Thirty-five healthy Chinese rhesus macaques were divided into a model group(n=30) and a control group(n=5).The model was established by inoculating monkeys intravenously with SIVmac 239.Changes in TCM symptoms after SIV infection within 18 months were then observed and recorded.Routine blood tests,SIV viral load,T-lymphocyte subsets,plasma triiodothyronine(T3),tetraiodothyronine(T4),adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH) and cortisol(Cor) were tested periodically during the experiment.RESULTS:During the acute infection period of SIV,model monkeys temporarily showed clinical symptoms such as diarrhea,dysphoria and slight weight loss.Decrease percentages of CD4+ T-lymphocytes were observed but levels of T3,T4,Cor,and ACTH were relatively unchanged.Monkeys in the model group during the early and middle periods of infection showed no obvious symptoms,except few monkeys exhibited transient diarrhea and reduced food intake.All variables at this stage showed normal fluctuations.In the middle period model group monkeys showed chronic and persistent diarrhea,weight loss,reduced food intake and low levels of T3 and Cor.In the late period,symptoms including emaciation,weight loss,listlessness,crouching in corners and low levels of T3 appeared.CONCLUSION:The results suggest that the rhesus monkey SIV/SAIDS model can be applied to research on TCM etiology and pathogenesis of AIDS.According to this model,the etiology of disease is the SIV virus.The pathogenesis manifests as the invasion of SIV virus,incubation of the virus,balance between virus and healthy 'Qi',damage to spleen and kidney as the disease progressed,exhaustion of vitality and finally the failure of five zang and six fu organs.Maoqing Li Linchun Fu Yinjie Hu Miaomiao Zhang Jinyang He Zhixi Chen Jinyan Chen 2012Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,4:5
2Experimental investigation on the invert stability of operating railway tunnels with different drainage systems using 3D printing technology显示文摘In recent years, the invert anomalies of operating railway tunnels in water-rich areas occur frequently,which greatly affect the transportation capacity of the railway lines. Tunnel drainage system is a crucial factor to ensure the invert stability by regulating the external water pressure(EWP). By means of a threedimensional(3D) printing model, this paper experimentally investigates the deformation behavior of the invert for the tunnels with the traditional drainage system(TDS) widely used in China and its optimized drainage system(ODS) with bottom drainage function. Six test groups with a total of 110 test conditions were designed to consider the design factors and environmental factors in engineering practice,including layout of the drainage system, blockage of the drainage system and groundwater level fluctuation. It was found that there are significant differences in the water discharge, EWP and invert stability for the tunnels with the two drainage systems. Even with a dense arrangement of the external blind tubes, TDS was still difficult to eliminate the excessive EWP below the invert, which is the main cause for the invert instability. Blockage of drainage system further increased the invert uplift and aggravated the track irregularity, especially when the blockage degree is more than 50%. However, ODS can prevent these invert anomalies by reasonably controlling the EWP at tunnel bottom. Even when the groundwater level reached 60 m and the blind tubes were fully blocked, the invert stability can still be maintained and the railway track experienced a settlement of only 1.8 mm. Meanwhile, the on-site monitoring under several rainstorms further showed that the average EWP of the invert was controlled within 84 k Pa, while the maximum settlement of the track slab was only 0.92 mm, which also was in good agreement with the results of model test.Linyi Li Junsheng Yang Jinyang Fu Shuying Wang Cong Zhang Maolong Xiang 2022Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2022,14,5:1

4Urea-assisted mixed gas treatment on Li-Rich layered oxide with enhanced electrochemical performance显示文摘Lithium-rich manganese-based oxides(LRMOs)have been considered as one of the most promising cathode materials owing to their superior specific capacity and high operating voltage.However,their largescale commercial applications are limited due to problems such as structural instability,voltage decay,and poor cycle stability.Herein,pre-generated oxygen vacancies and oxygen-deficient phase were introduced to Li_(1.2)Mn_(0.6)Ni_(0.2)O_(2)(LMNO)using a facile urea-assisted mixed gas treatment(UMGT)method for facilitating electronic and ionic conductivity,reducing the surface oxygen partial pressure,and suppressing the release of lattice oxygen.Compared with the pristine LMNO material,the UMGT sample modified at 200℃exhibited enhanced discharge capacity,capacity retention,and rate capability.In addition,the Li+diffusion coefficient significantly improved by 50%than that of the reference LMNO.More importantly,the voltage decay was effectively suppressed,with average potential decreasing from 0.53 V(LMNO)to 0.39 V(UMGT-200)after 200 cycles at 1 C.The proposed UMGT method provides an effective strategy to alleviate the phase transition and improve the electrochemical performance for lithium-rich materials,and identifies a promising research direction to inhibit the voltage decay of layered anion redox cathode materials.Liying Bao Lei Wei Nuoting Fu Jinyang Dong Lai Chen Yuefeng Su Ning Li Yun Lu Yongjian Li Shi Chen Feng Wu 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,3:1
