| 1 | Investigation on Flow Accelerated Corrosion Mitigation for Secondary Circuit Piping of the Third Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant显示文摘Flow accelerated corrosion(FAC) is the main failure cause of the secondary circuit carbon steel piping in nuclear power plants. The piping failures caused by FAC have resulted in numerous unplanned outages and tragic fatalities. The existing researches focus on the main factors contributing to FAC,which include metallurgical factors, environmental factors and hydrodynamic factors. Some effective FAC management methods and programs with long term monitoring and inspection data analysis are recommended. But a comprehensive FAC management system should be developed in order to mitigate and manage FAC systematically. In this paper, the FAC influencing factors are analyzed in combination with the operating conditions of the secondary circuit piping in the Third Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant(TQNPP),China(Third Qinshan Nuclear Power Company Limited,China).A comprehensive FAC mitigation and management system is developed for TQNPP secondary circuit piping. The system is composed of five processes, viz.materials substitution, water chemical optimization,long-term monitor strategy for the susceptible piping, integrity evaluation of the local thinning defects, and repair or replacement. With the implementation of the five processes, the material of FAC sensitive pipe fittings are modified from carbon steel to stainless steel,N_2H_4 and NH_3 are finally selected as the water chemical regulator of secondary circuit, the secondary circuit pips are classified according to FAC susceptibility in order to conduct long term monitoring strategy, and an integrity evaluation flow for local thinning caused by FAC in carbon steel piping is developed. If the component with local thinning defects is not fit-for-service,corresponding repair or replacement should be conducted. The comprehensive FAC mitigation and management system with five interrelated processes would be a cost-effective method of increasing personnel safety, plant safety and availability. | ZHAO Liang HU Jianqun WU Zhigang WANG Kin | 2011 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2011,24,2: | 3 |

| 6 | Quick photofabrication of functional nanospheres from de novo designed peptides for NIR fluorescence and MR imaging显示文摘Combining the noncovalent and covalent interactions,a series of peptide amphiphiles were designed de novo and synthesized to architect functional assemblies by means of photochemistry. The strand of peptide sequence was structurally capped with photoactive tyrosine-tyrosine(YY)motifs at both termini, and the spacing was filled by alternating of hydrophilic D(L-aspartate)and hydrophobic X(ε-aminocaproic acid)structure.Upon visible-light irradiation, these de novo designed peptides underwent rapid photocrosslinking within merely 10 min.Interestingly, the modulation of alternating D-X pairs in occupying spacer would adjust molecular amphiphilicity, regulate charge distribution, and control particle size and loading capacity of peptide nanospheres(PNS)in aqueous media. With entirely peptide-based matrix, this PNS system could host cationic indicators of fluorescent rhodamine and magnetic GdIII for exemplar near infrared(NIR)fluorescence and magnetic resonance(MR)imaging, which paves a pathway to biomaterial and biomedical applications using de novo designed peptides. | Jingyi Zhao Chen Li Xue-Wang Gao Ke Feng Hao Liu Sijie He Wenhua Zhao Shumin Yang Jianqun Shao Ling Ye Bin Chen Nan Xie Chen-Ho Tung Li-Zhu Wu | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,3: | 0 |
| 7 | Impacts of Torrefaction on PM_(10) Emissions from Biomass Combustion显示文摘Typical biomass torrefaction is a mild pyrolysis process under conditions of ordinary pressure, low temperature(200–300°C)and inert atmosphere.Torrefaction is considered to be a competitive technology for biomass pretreatment, but its impacts on the emissions of particulate matter from biomass combustion are worthy of further study. In this paper, three kinds of biomass,i.e.,bagasse,wheat straw and sawdust were selected for torrefaction pretreatment and the impacts of torrefaction on the emission characteristics of PM_(10) from biomass combustion were investigated. The combustion experiments were carried out on a drop tube furnace. The combustion-generated particulate and bulk ash samples were collected and subjected to analyses by various techniques. The results show that torrefaction tends to result in a reduction of PM_(1)(particulates with an aerodynamic diameter less than 1μm)emissions from combustion, but the extent of reduction is dependent on biomass type. The reduction of PM_(1) from the combustion of torrefied biomass is mainly because that the torrefaction process removes some Cl and S from the biomass, thereby suppressing the release of alkali metals and the emissions of PM_(1) during the combustion process. As for PM_(1–10)(particulates with an aerodynamic diameter within 1–10μm),its emissions from combustion of torrefied biomasses are consistently reduced, compared with their untreated counterparts. This observation is primarily accounted for the enhanced particle coalescence/agglomeration in combustion of torrefied biomasses, which reduces the emissions of PM_(1–10). | Zihao Wang Dunxi Yu Jingkun Han Jianqun Wu | 2021 | Energy Engineering2021,118,5: | 0 |
| 8 | A substructure approach for analyzing pile foundation and soil vibrations due to train running over viaduct and its validation显示文摘An efficient computational approach based on substructure methodology is proposed to analyze the viaduct-pile foundation-soil dynamic interaction under train loads.Thetrain-viaductsubsystemissolvedusingthe dynamic stiffness integration method, and its accuracy is verified by the existing analytical solution for a moving vehicle on a simply supported beam. For the pile foundation-soil subsystem, the geometric and material properties of piles and soils are assumed to be invariable along the azimuth direction.By introducing the equivalent stiffness of grouped piles, the governing equations of pile foundation-soil interaction are simplified based on Fourier decomposition method,so the three-dimensional problem is decomposedintoseveraltwo-dimensionalaxisymmetricfinite element models. The pile foundation-soil interaction model is verified by field measurements due to shaker loading at pile foundation top.In addition, these two substructures are coupled with the displacement compatibility condition at interface of pier bottom and pile foundation top. Finally, the proposed train-viaduct-pile foundation-soil interaction model was validated by field tests. The results show that the proposed model can predict vibrations of pile foundation and soil accurately, thereby providing a basis for the prediction of pile-soil foundation settlement. The frequency spectra of the vibration in Beijing-Tianjin high-speed railway demonstrated that the main frequencies of the pier top and ground surface are below 100 and 30 Hz,respectively. | Ying Wu Xuecheng Bian Chong Cheng Jianqun Jiang | 2022 | Railway Engineering Science2022,30,4: | 0 |
