1Bacteriophage therapy against Enterobacteriaceae显示文摘The Enterobacteriaceae are a class of gram-negative facultative anaerobic rods, which can cause a variety of diseases, such as bacteremia, septic arthritis, endocarditis, osteomyelitis, lower respiratory tract infections, skin and soft-tissue infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections and ophthalmic infections, in humans, poultry, animals and fish. Disease caused by Enterobacteriaceae cause the deaths of millions of people every year, resulting in enormous economic loss. Drug treatment is a useful and efficient way to control Enterobacteriaceae infections. However, with the abuse of antibiotics, drug resistance has been found in growing number of Enterobacteriaceae infections and, as such, there is an urgent need to find new methods of control. Bacteriophage therapy is an efficient alternative to antibiotics as it employs a different antibacterial mechanism. 2Design and Implementation of a Wideband HF Channel Simulator显示文摘The paper presents a wideband high frequency (HF) channel simulator. The simulation consists of a software simulation of a direct-sequence spread-spectrum (DSSS) HF system with RAKE receiver. The validity of the HF channel simulator is demonstrated by the analysis of the scattering function and example results of the simulator. The performance of DS system under HF channel and noise are also presented. 3TURBO EQUALIZATION WITH JOINTLY GAUSSIAN EQUALIZER显示文摘A Jointly Gaussian (JG) equalizer is derived for turbo equalization based on an augmented real matrix representation of channel model and a Gaussian approximation of the received symbol sequence. Using matrix inversion lemma and Cholesky decomposition, a lowcomplexity implementation of JG equalizer is also presented. 5Study on the activity and phenotype of decidual natural killer cells in patients with unexplained habitual abortions显示文摘Objective:To determine the activity and phenotype of decidual natural killer (NK) cells in patients with unexplained habitual abortions (UHA).Methods:A total of 32 patients with UHA were studied, and 20 cases of normal pregnant women were selected as control group. The levels of CD56 +CD3 - NK cells and their CD56 +CD16 -, CD56 +CD16 + subsets in decidua were detected using two color flow cytometric analysis.The NK cells activity was measured by a chromium 51( 51 Cr) release cytotoxicity assay,with K562 human myeloid leukaemia cells as targets.Results:Compared with control group, the proportion of CD56 +CD3 - NK cells in decidual mononuclear cells(DMC) of UHA patients had no difference, but the CD56 +CD16 - NK cell subset decreased and the CD56 +CD16 + subset increased significantly (P<0.05). The decidual NK cells activities of UHA patients were higher than those of normal controls (P<0.05).Conclusions:NK cell is predominant lymphocyte in normal decidua and plays an important role in maintaining successful pregnancy.
