1Near-diffraction-limited linearly polarized narrow-linewidth random fiber laser with record kilowatt output显示文摘In this paper, we propose and experimentally investigate a linearly polarized narrow-linewidth random fiber laser(RFL) operating at 1080 nm and boost the output power to kilowatt level with near-diffraction-limited beam quality using a master oscillation power amplifier. The RFL based on a half-opened cavity, which is composed of a linearly polarized narrow-linewidth fiber Bragg grating and a 500 m piece of polarization-maintained Ge-doped fiber, generates a 0.71 W seed laser with an 88 pm full width at half-maximum(FWHM) linewidth and a 22.5 dB polarization extinction ratio(PER) for power scaling. A two-stage fiber amplifier enhances the seed laser to the maximal 1.01 k W with a PER value of 17 dB and a beam quality of M_x^2=1.15 and M_y^2=1.13. No stimulated Brillouin scattering effect is observed at the ultimate power level, and the FWHM linewidth of the amplified random laser broadens linearly as a function of the output power with a coefficient of about 0.1237 pm∕W.To the best of our knowledge, this is the first demonstration of a linearly polarized narrow-linewidth RFL with even kilowatt-level near-diffraction-limited output, and further performance scaling is ongoing.JIANGMING XU LONG HUANG MAN JIANG JUN YE PENGFEI MA JINYONG LENG JIAN WU HANWEI ZHANG PU ZHOU 2017Photonics Research2017,5,4:20
2Phosphorus limitation on photosynthesis of two dominant understory species in a lowland tropical forest显示文摘Aims Elevated nitrogen(N)deposition in tropical regions may accelerate ecosystem phosphorus(P)limitation.However,it is not explicitly addressed that how changes in soil N and P availability affect foliar nutrients and photosynthesis of plants in tropical forests.In this study,we examined the effects of N and P additions on foliar nutrients and net photosynthesis of two dominant understory species,Randia can-thioides(R.canthioides)and Cryptocarya concinna(C.concinna)in an N-saturated old-growth tropical forest(>400-year-old)in south-ern China.Methods A full factorial NP addition experiment(2×2)was established in 2007 and continued through August 2010.Four treatments,including control,N addition(150 kg N ha^(−1) year^(−1)),P addi-tion(150 kg P ha^(−1) year^(−1))and NP addition(150 kg N ha^(−1) year^(−1) plus 150 kg P ha^(−1) year^(−1))were set up in this experiment.Photosynthetic traits maximum photosynthetic CO_(2) assimilation(Amax),stomatal conductance(gs),leaf transpiration(E),light satu-rating point,concentrations of chlorophyll a/b and foliar nutri-ents(N and P)of the two species were measured with standard methods.Important Findings Three years of N addition had no significant effects on any measured photosynthetic parameter of either species.However,N addition significantly elevated foliar N and P concentrations of one species(R.canthioides),resulting in lower photosynthetic nitrogen use effi-ciency(PNUE).N treatments decreased foliar P concentration of the other(C.concinna),resulting in increased photosynthetic phos-phorus use efficiency,which was potentially related to N-induced P shortage.In contrast,positive effects of P treatments on gs of R.can-thioides,Amax and chlorophyll a+b of C.concinna were observed.P treatments also elevated foliar P and PNUE of both species,imply-ing P induced more efficient use of N.Our results suggested a more important role of P than N on influencing photosynthetic traits of these two understory species.Alleviation of P shortage through P addition may enhance photosynthetic performances of some under-story species in N-rich tropical forests.Feifei Zhu Xiankai Lu Jiangming Mo 2014Journal of Plant Ecology2014,7,6:10
3Tandem pumping architecture enabled high power random fiberlaser with near-diffraction-limited beam quality显示文摘In this contribution, we present the tandem pumping avenue leveraged performance scaling of random fiber laser to record 3 kW level with inherent temporal stability and near-diffraction-limited beam quality. The high power system employs a four-stage master oscillator power amplifier chain. The master oscillator is a half-opened cavity structured random distributed feedback fiber laser centered at 1080 nm and pumped by incoherent amplified spontaneous emission source. Narrowband random laser seed is selected by employing a spectral filtering module with a maximum output power of 1.08 W, full width at half maximum linewidth of 0.47 nm and spectral optical-signal-to-noise ratio of about 42 dB. As to the main amplification stage, for given 104 W pre-amplified random laser seed and 3.61 kW pump laser, an ultimate output power of 3.03 kW can be obtained,corresponding to an optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 81.05%. Nearly single-transverse-mode amplified random laser can be achieved even at full power level for inherent high thermal modal instability threshold enabled by tandem pumping and inducing bending loss for high-order transverse-mode. 4High power linearly polarized fiber laser:Generation, manipulation and application显示文摘Linearly-polarized(LP) fiber lasers, which could find wide potential applications such as coherent detection, coherent/spectral beam combining, nonlinear frequency conversion, have been a research focus in recent years. In this paper, we will present a general review on the achievements of various kinds of high power LP fiber laser and its applications for the first time. The recent progress in high power LP fiber oscillator, including fiber oscillator based on active fiber, Raman fiber laser and Random distributed feedback fiber laser are summarized. Power scaling of LP fiber laser by using active-fiber based power amplifier, passive-fiber based Raman amplifier, and active/passive fiber based hybrid fiber amplifier has been achieved. Polarization-maintained active fiber based power amplifier and non-polarization-maintained active fiber based power amplifier incorporating active polarization control are specially introduced in detail. High power LP fiber laser with diversified property, such as narrow-linewidth, wavelength-tunable and ultrashort pulse operation, are summarized. 5kW-level,narrow-linewidth linearly polarized fiber laser with excellent beam quality through compact one-stage amplification scheme显示文摘In this manuscript, we demonstrate high-power, narrow-linewidth linearly polarized fiber laser with excellent beam quality through compact one-stage amplification scheme. By employing a single-mode–multimode–single-mode structure seed laser, a linearly polarized Yb-doped fiber laser with narrow linewidth and high output power is achieved.This laser, when used as a master oscillator, can be capable of suppressing the ASE in the process of power amplification.Thus, only one-stage amplification structure is used to scale up the laser power, and linearly polarized output with a polarization extinction ration of 14 d B, a narrow linewidth of 0.3 nm and an output power of 1018 W are achieved.Moreover, due to the good beam quality of seed laser and the well-designed amplifier stage, the beam quality of the output laser is near-diffraction-limited with M_x^2 ~1.18 and M_y^2 ~ 1.24 at the maximum power, and without mode instability occurring.Man Jiang Pengfei Ma Long Huang Jiangming Xu Pu Zhou Xijia Gu 2017High Power Laser Science and Engineering2017,5,4:7

7Valve Dynamic and Thermal Cycle Model in Stepless Capacity Regulation for Reciprocating Compressor显示文摘The existing researches of stepless capacity regulation system by depressing the suction valve for reciprocation compressor always adopt hypothesis that the compressor valves are open or close instantaneously, the valve dynamic has not been taken account into thermal cycle computation, the influence of capacity regulation system on suction valves dynamic performance and cylinder thermal cycle operation has not been considered. This paper focuses on theoretical and experimental analysis of the valve dynamic and thermal cycle for reciprocating compressor in the situation of stepless capacity regulation. The valve dynamics equation, gas forces for normal and back flow, and the cylinder pressure varying with suction valve unloader moment during compression thermal cycle are discussed. A new valve dynamic model based on L-K real gas state equation for reciprocating compressor is first deduced to reduce the calculation errors induced by the ideal gas state equation. The variations of valve dynamic and cylinder pressure during part of compression stroke are calculated numerically. The calculation results reveal the non-normal thermal cycle and operation condition of compressor in stepless capacity regulation situation. The numerical simulation results of the valve dynamic and thermal cycle parameters are also verified by the stepless capacity regulation experiments in the type of 3L-10/8 reciprocating compressor. The experimental results agree with the numerical simulation results, which show that the theoretical models proposed are effective and high-precision. 9In-band pumping avenue based high power superfluorescent fiber source with record power and near-diffraction-limited beam quality显示文摘High power superfluorescent fiber sources(SFSs), which could find wide applications in many fields such as middle infrared laser generation, Raman fiber laser pumping and spectral beam combination, have experienced a flourishing time in recent years for its unique properties, such as short coherence length and high temporal stability. The challenge for performance scalability of powerful SFS mainly lies on the physical issues including parasitic laser oscillation and modal instability(MI). In this contribution, by employing in-band pumping avenue and high-order transverse-mode management, we explore a high power SFS with record power, near-diffraction-limited beam quality and spectral manipulation flexibility. An ultimate output power of 3.14 kW can be obtained with high temporal stability and a beam quality of M^2= 1.59 for the amplified light. Furthermore, the dynamics of spectral evolutions, including redshifting of central wavelength and unsymmetrical broadening in spectral wings, of the main amplifier with different seed linewidths are investigated contrastively. 10Development and ultrastructure of larval skin in Scophthamus maximus显示文摘The histological development and ultrastructure of larval turbot skin were studied by both light and transmission electron microscopes.The early larvae showed a complete bisymmetry of skin.The skin of 1-25days old larvae developed slowly and was composed of the thin epidermis of 1-2layers epidermal cells and undeveloped dermis before the metamorphosis.But the skin developed significantly when the.metamorphosis began.Till the completion of metamorphosis(about 60days old),the skin contained 3-4layers epidermal cells and very developed collagenous strata.Wisth the process of metamorphosis,the ocular side skin and blind side skin became different in ultrastructure.Ultrastructural observation showed the epidermis of turbot contained three types of epidermal cells;filament-containing cells,mucus cells and chloride cells.The ocular side epidermis with looser structure consisted one type of filament-containing cells,but the blind side epidermis was structured densely and two types of filament-containing cells were observed in it.Melanophores,iridophores,fibroblasts and other cell types and tisssues were found in the spongiosum of dermis.The distribution of melanophores depended on the larval developing stage and the pigmentation of skin.The differentiation of skin seems to be an adaptation for the change of life style of turbot larvae from pelagic living to benthonic living after the metamorphosis.ZHUJie ZHANGXiu-mei GAOTian-xiang JIANGMing 2003水产学报2003,27,2:5
11Passively spatiotemporal gain-modulation-induced stable pulsing operation of a random fiber laser显示文摘Unlike a traditional fiber laser with a defined resonant cavity, a random fiber laser(RFL), whose operation is based on distributed feedback and gain via Rayleigh scattering(RS) and stimulated Raman scattering in a long passive fiber, has fundamental scientific challenges in pulsing operation for its remarkable cavity-free feature. For the time being, stable pulsed RFL utilizing a passive method has not been reported. Here, we propose and experimentally realize the passive spatiotemporal gain-modulation-induced stable pulsing operation of counterpumped RFL. Thanks to the good temporal stability of an employed pumping amplified spontaneous emission source and the superiority of this pulse generation scheme, a stable and regular pulse train can be obtained.Furthermore, the pump hysteresis and bistability phenomena with the generation of high-order Stokes light is presented, and the dynamics of pulsing operation is discussed after the theoretical investigation of the counterpumped RFL. 12Point cloud registration for agriculture and forestry crops based on calibration balls using Kinect V2显示文摘For the process of point cloud registration,and the problem of inaccurate registration due to errors in correspondence between keypoints.In this paper,a registration method based on calibration balls was proposed,the trunk,branch,and crown were selected as experimental objects,and three calibration balls were randomly placed around the experimental objects to ensure different distances between two ball centers.Using the Kinect V2 depth camera to collect the point cloud of the experimental scene from four different viewpoints,the PassThrough filter algorithm was used for point cloud filtering in each view of the experimental scenes.The Euclidean cluster extraction algorithm was employed for point cloud clustering and segmentation to extract the experimental object and the calibration ball.The random sample consensus(RANSAC)algorithm was applied to fit the point cloud of a ball and calculate the coordinates of the ball center so that the distance between two ball centers under different viewpoints can be obtained by using the coordinates of the ball center.Comparing the distance between the ball centers from different viewpoints to determine the corresponding relationship between the ball centers from different viewpoints,and then using the singular value decomposition(SVD)method,the initial registration matrix was obtained.Finally,Iterative Closest Point(ICP)and its improved algorithm were used for accurate registration.The experimental results showed that the method of point cloud registration based on calibration balls can solve the problem of corresponding error of keypoints,and can register point clouds from different viewpoints of the same object.The registration method was evaluated by using the registration running time and the fitness score.The final registration running time of different experimental objects was not more than 6.5 s.The minimum fitness score of the trunk was approximately 0.0001,the minimum fitness score of the branch was approximately 0.0001,and the minimum fitness score of the crown was approximately 0.0006.Sanzhang Zhou Feng Kang Wenbin Li Jiangming Kan Yongjun Zheng 2020International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,1:4
13Vortex random fiber laser with controllable orbital angular momentum mode显示文摘In this paper, we propose and experimentally demonstrate a vortex random fiber laser(RFL) with a controllable orbital angular momentum(OAM) mode. The topological charge of the vortex RFL can range from-50 to 50 with nearly watt-level output power. A triangular toroidal interferometer is constructed to verify the spiral phase structure of the generated vortex random laser with a special coherence property. Vortex RFLs with fractional topological charge are also performed in this work. 14Pump scheme optimization of an incoherently pumped high-power random fiber laser显示文摘Optical signal-to-noise ratio(OSNR) is one of the most significant parameters for the performance characterization of random fiber lasers(RFLs) and their application potentiality in sensing and telecommunication. An effective way to improve the OSNR of RFLs is pump scheme optimization, for example, employing a temporally stable source as the pump. In this paper, the output performance of an incoherently pumped RFL dependence on the pump bandwidth has been investigated both in experiment and theory. It is found that a high-OSNR RFL can be achieved with broadband amplified spontaneous emission(ASE) source pumping, and a relatively broad pump bandwidth can also help suppress the spectral broadening while maintaining an ultra-high spectral purity.By optimizing the pump bandwidth to ~10 nm, maximum OSNR of ~39 dB(corresponding to a spectral purity of ~99.96%) with more than 99 W output power can be obtained. Moreover, for the pump bandwidth of 0.6–40 nm, the spectral purity can reach as high as >99% with the pump power ranging from ~85 to ~117 W.In addition, with the aid of theoretical simulation based on a modified power balance model, we find that the increment of pump bandwidth can decrease the effective Raman gain coefficient, further influencing the gain characteristics, nonlinear effects, and eventually the output performance. 20A cubic triboelectric generator as a self-powered orientation sensor显示文摘Recently, triboelectric generator(TEG) has attracted a lot of attention due to its high output voltage and low-cost fabrication process. Here, a novel cubic TEG box is designed, which has separated electrodes on different surfaces. Thanks to the specially designed structure, it can scavenge vibration energy from all directions. Firstly the device is investigated through finite element method(FEM) simulation. Then the device is evaluated by experiments. The measuremental results show that this device can generate an amount of 25 n C charge during once shake by charging a 10 n F capacitor. Besides, an output voltage about 100 V is obtained, which is able to directly light up several light-emitting diodes(LEDs) simultaneously. At last, the device is utilized as a self-powered orientation sensor, which shows explicit directivity.
