1Astrocyte Function and Role in Motor Neuron Disease:A Future Therapeutic Target?显示文摘星形胶质细胞是中枢神经系统中数量最多的细胞,从引导轴突、突触支持到控制血-脑脊液屏障及脑血流,发挥多种作用。发挥这些作用需要通过大量不同类型的星形胶质细胞进行。本文对星形胶质细胞的功能,尤其是保持突触平衡、调节神经元信号传导、保护氧化损伤下的神经元和决定内源性神经前体细胞分化方面的作用进行综述。本文还重点讨论近年星形胶质细胞在运动神经元病(MND)中的作用方面的研究,强调其在细胞替代治疗中作为治疗靶标和治疗剂的潜能。在20%家族性MND中涉及到的铜锌超氧化物歧化酶(SOD1)基因,其必须表达在胶质细胞和运动神经元中来诱导小鼠疾病模型的疾病状态。在星形胶质细胞中选择性减少突变SOD1(mSOD1)不会影响疾病发作,可延缓疾病进展;但减少运动神经元中的mSOD1可推迟疾病发作,延缓早期病程,对寿命无影响。这提示胶质细胞在MND中可作为潜在的治疗靶标。然而,对星形胶质细胞特异性标志物、前体细胞、亚型的认识缺乏意味着对其发育/分化、应对损伤的了解落后于对其功能的认识。只有深入理解这些问题才能有效运用星形胶质细胞靶向或替代治疗慢性中枢神经系统疾病,如MND。DANIEL BLACKBURN SIRANUSH SARGSYAN PETER N.MONK PAMELA J.SHAW 2009神经损伤与功能重建2009,4,5:9
2辽西四合屯含化石层古地磁极性年龄的初步确定显示文摘对辽西四合屯剖面合化石层及其下伏和上覆玄武岩进行了较为详细的岩石磁学和古地磁学研究,结果表明含化石的沉积岩层段和下伏玄武岩段具有正极性,上覆玄武岩则具有负极性.结合最新的同位素测年结果可知,含化石层段的古地磁极性年龄为早白垩世Barremian阶M3n极性时.岩石磁学参数测量结果揭示出该湖相沉积岩中夹有数层火山凝灰质沉积物,这可能说明由火山活动等地球深部动力学过程引起的剧烈环境变化与古湖区生物的剧生剧灭有关.潘永信 朱日祥 J.Shaw 周烑秀 2001科学通报2001,46,8:8

9Revascularization and outcomes in Veterans with moderate to severe ischemia on myocardial perfusion imaging显示文摘Background: The prevalence of ischemia on nuclear myocardial perfusion imaging(MPI) has been decreasing. Recent research has questioned the benefit of invasive revascularization for patients with moderate to severe ischemia. We hypothesized that patients with moderate to severe ischemia could routinely undergo successful revascularization.Methods: We analyzed data from 544 patients who underwent an MPI at a single academic Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Patients with moderate to severe ischemia, defined as a summed difference score(SDS) 8 or greater, were compared to the rest of the cohort.Results: Of the total cohort(n=544), 39 patients had MPI studies with resultant moderate to severe ischemia. Patients with ischemia were more likely to develop coronary artery disease(74.4% versus 38.8%, P<0.0001) and have successful revascularization(38.5% versus 4.0%, P<0.0001) during the following year. Revascularization was attempted in 31 patients with moderate to severe ischemia, though only 15(47%) of these attempts were successful. Ischemia was predictive of myocardial infarction(5.1% versus 0.8%, P=0.01) within 1 year.Conclusion: Moderate to severe ischemia is an uncommon finding in a contemporary nuclear laboratory.
