| 1 | Effect of TiN Particles and Grain Size on the Charpy Impact Transition Temperature in Steels显示文摘The toughness of ferritic steels is influenced by the grain size distribution,second phase,precipitates and coarse inclusions.In this work an examination of the effect of coarse TiN particles(>0.5 μm) and ferrite grain size on the Charpy impact transition temperature in high strength low alloyed steels has been carried out.Steels with high Ti content(up to 0.045 wt%),have been heat-treated and furnace cooled to obtain a ferrite-pearlite microstructure with different ferrite grain sizes.Coarse TiN particle size and ferrite grain size distributions have been measured and Charpy impact testing has been carried out.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM) analysis has been used to measure the grain boundary carbide thickness and to determine if the coarse TiN particles are acting as cleavage initiation sites by fractographic analysis.The Charpy ductile-brittle transition temperatures(DBTT) have been predicted using standard literature equations,and compared to the measured values.The relationship between the ferrite grain size and coarse TiN particle size and number density in terms of whether the coarse TiN particles act as effective cleavage initiation sites is discussed in this paper. | J.Du M.Strangwood C.L.Davis | 2012 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2012,28,10: | 15 |

| 6 | Revisit to Two-Proton Radioactivity of 19Mg and Observation of Two-Proton Decay of 30Ar显示文摘An experiment aimed to investigate the two-proton(2p) decay of the previously unknown nucleus ^(30)Ar was performed at GSI. By tracking the decay products in-flight with silicon micro-strip detectors, the 2p decays of ^(30)Ar were observed for the first time. For the calibration purpose, 2p decays of ^(19)Mg were also remeasured by tracking the coincident ^(17)Ne+p+p trajectories. By comparing the measured angular p-17 Ne correlations with those obtained from the corresponding Monte Carlo simulations,the simultaneous 2p decay of ^(19)Mg ground state and the sequential 2p emission of several known excited states of ^(19)Mg were confirmed. | 10 | A novel direct reduction method to synthesize ordered Fe-Pt alloy nanoparticles显示文摘In this work, a direct green solid-phase reduction method for the fabrication of large yield of ordered phase Fe-Pt alloy nanoparticles was reported, in which inorganic salts were used as metal precursors and H_2-containing atmosphere was used as reducer. Utilizing this method, the composition and chemical ordered phase, such as L1_2-Fe_3 Pt, L1_2-FePt_3, and L1_0-FePt phases can be easily achieved by one step reaction. The synthesized nanoparticles have clean surface because no organic precursors, no organic solutions or organic surfactants/ligands were used. Their magnetic performance and the formation mechanism of Fe-Pt alloy nanoparticles were also investigated.
