| 1 | Evaluating the Efficiency of CBAM-Resnet Using Malaysian Sign Language显示文摘The deaf-mutes population is constantly feeling helpless when others do not understand them and vice versa.To fill this gap,this study implements a CNN-based neural network,Convolutional Based Attention Module(CBAM),to recognise Malaysian Sign Language(MSL)in videos recognition.This study has created 2071 videos for 19 dynamic signs.Two different experiments were conducted for dynamic signs,using CBAM-3DResNet implementing‘Within Blocks’and‘Before Classifier’methods.Various metrics such as the accuracy,loss,precision,recall,F1-score,confusion matrix,and training time were recorded to evaluate the models’efficiency.Results showed that CBAM-ResNet models had good performances in videos recognition tasks,with recognition rates of over 90%with little variations.CBAMResNet‘Before Classifier’is more efficient than‘Within Blocks’models of CBAM-ResNet.All experiment results indicated the CBAM-ResNet‘Before Classifier’efficiency in recognising Malaysian Sign Language and its worth of future research. | Rehman Ullah Khan Woei Sheng Wong Insaf Ullah Fahad Algarni Muhammad Inam Ul Haq Mohamad Hardyman bin Barawi Muhammad Asghar Khan | 2022 | Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,5: | 3 |
| 2 | Depth factors for undrained bearing capacity of circular footing by numerical approach显示文摘The undrained vertical bearing capacity of embedded foundation has been extensively studied using analytical and numerical methods.Through comparing the results of a circular embedded foundation in the literature,a significant difference between the bearing capacity factors and depth factors is observed.Based on the previous research findings,numerical computations using FLAC code are carried out in this study to evaluate the undrained bearing capacity of circular foundations with embedment ratios up to five for different base and side foundation roughness conditions.Unlike the foundation base,the roughness of the foundation side has a significant effect on the bearing capacity.The comparison of the present results with numerical studies available in the literature shows that the discrepancy is related to the procedures used to simulate the foundation side interface conditions and to the estimation of the bearing capacity. | Sadok Benmebarek Insaf Saifi Naima Benmebarek | 2017 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2017,9,4: | 2 |

| 10 | Photosynthetic Behaviour and Mineral Nutrition of Tamarix gallica Cultivated Under Aluminum and NaCl Combined Stress显示文摘The lack of knowledge of plant tolerance and differential response to aluminum(Al)encouraged many researchers,in the last decade,to elucidate Al toxicity and tolerance mechanisms.The current study reported the impact of Al,a toxic element with negative effects on plant growth and development,in halophytic plant Tamarix gallica.Plants were subjected to different Al concentrations(0,200,500 and 800μM)with or without NaCl(200 mM)supplementation.Growth,photosynthesis and mineral content were assessed.Al stress had a significant decrease on shoots’biomass production between 19 to 41%,and a little variation on chlorophyll content and photosynthetic efficiency(Fo,Fm,Fv fluorescence’s and Fv/Fm).Furthermore,the Al-treatments did not affect significantly the content of potassium,calcium,and magnesium in different plant parts,whereas NaCl addition to the medium induced a decrease in these elements’concentrations.Our results have shown that T.gallica is able to accumulate the high levels of Al in shoots and roots,6288μg.g^(-1) DW and 7834μg.g^(-1) DW respectively.It is considered as a hyperaccumulator plant of Al.In addition,Na+contents in shoots and roots exceed 23000μg.g^(-1) DW.Therefore,T.gallica presents a high tolerance at the same time to Al and NaCl phytotoxicity,so it is interesting to use in phytoremediation programs. | Dhouha Belhaj Sghaier Insaf Bankaji Sylvia Pedro Isabel Caçador Noomene Sleimi | 2019 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2019,88,3: | 1 |
