Analysis of microclimate characteristics in solar greenhouses under natural ventilation显示文摘The solar greenhouse is a typical greenhouse type in northern China. It provides a favorable environment for the growth of various plants and extends cultivation periods for almost a whole year to achieve a high yield. However, indoor environmental control is primarily based on growers'experience, and the objective test data required for the complex climate control and management of greenhouses are lacking. The present study used three greenhouses in northwest China as research objects:one greenhouse with mature plants(GH-M),one greenhouse with young plants(GH-Y)and one greenhouse without plants(GH-E).Field tests were performed to investigate microclimate characteristics, such as indoor air temperature, relative humidity, and solar radiation under natural ventilation. The results showed that the maximum temperature difference reached approximately 8.2℃in the vertical direction, and semiempirical equations for the normalized temperature distribution were obtained. The soil temperature remained constant at a certain depth(0.4 m).The distribution of the relative humidity and solar radiation was analyzed. The current study is helpful for growers to develop better greenhouse climate control strategies for management practices. | Yicun Hou Angui Li Yue Li Dacheng Jin Yu Tian Da Zhang Dingmeng Wu Linhua Zhang Wenjun Lei | 2021 | Building Simulation2021,14,6: | 3
Adaptive Wall-Based Attachment Ventilation:A Comparative Study on Its Effectiveness in Airborne Infection Isolation Rooms with Negative Pressure显示文摘The transmission of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has presented challenges for the control of the indoor environment of isolation wards.Scientific air distribution design and operation management are crucial to ensure the environmental safety of medical staff. This paper proposes the application of adaptive wall-based attachment ventilation and evaluates this air supply mode based on contaminants dispersion, removal efficiency, thermal comfort, and operating expense.Adaptive wall-based attachment ventilation provides a direct supply of fresh air to the occupied zone.In comparison with a ceiling air supply or upper sidewall air supply, adaptive wall-based attachment ventilation results in a 15%–47%lower average concentration of contaminants, for a continual release of contaminants at the same air changes per hour(ACH;10 h^(-1)).The contaminant removal efficiency of complete mixing ventilation cannot exceed 1.For adaptive wall-based attachment ventilation, the contaminant removal efficiency is an exponential function of the ACH.Compared with the ceiling air supply mode or upper sidewall air supply mode, adaptive wall-based attachment ventilation achieves a similar thermal comfort level(predicted mean vote(PMV)of0.1–0.4;draught rate of 2.5%–6.7%)and a similar performance in removing contaminants, but has a lower ACH and uses less energy. | Ying Zhang Ou Han Angui Li Li’an Hou Thomas Olofsson Linhua Zhang Wenjun Lei | 2022 | Engineering2022,8,1: | 2
The development and future of steelmaking technology at Baosteel显示文摘Baosteel's steelmaking has developed greatly over the last 30 years in the areas of hot metal pretreatment, converter, electric arc furnace(EAF),secondary refining, continuous casting, stainless steel and the comprehensive utilization of resources. The development of technologies, such as clean steel production, ruhrstahl heraeus(RH)vacuum refining,a breakout prediction system for slab continuous casting and rotary cylinder slag treatment has created a good environment for the development of value-added products and the comprehensive utilization of resources at Baosteel. This paper describes the direction of development of Baosteel's steelmaking in the future. | Hou Angui Jiang Xiaofang | 2008 | Baosteel Technical Research2008,2,3: | 0
The startup and production of the No.4 slab continuous caster at Baosteel显示文摘In order to meet the developing requirements for the output and quality of the products of Baosteel, the No.4 slab continuous caster designed by the Danieli Company of Italy was built.Since starting up in December,2006,the casting machine has run smoothly in the aspects of production and quality control. It is equipped with advanced apparatus and technology, such as electric magnetic braking(EMBR)and soft reduction. Some operation indices have been continually improved,in order to ensure that slab quality meets the requirements of downstream products. Its total output reached 2.17 Mt in 2007.This study analyzes the operational indices and the slab quality. | Zhi Jianjun Yu Zuda Hou Angui Wang Hongbing Hu Huijun Zong Zhenyu | 2008 | Baosteel Technical Research2008,2,3: | 0
The effect of the continuous casting process on ultrasonically-tested defects in heavy plates显示文摘A plate's internal quality is very critical, especially for boilers and high-pressure vessels. The ultrasonic test(UT) is the main type of non-destructive flaw detection for heavy plates, which is important because one of the main reasons for plate defects is ultrasonic flaws. This study, based on Baosteel's practical experience in the manufacture of heavy plates, elucidates the cause of defect formation by analyzing ultrasonic flaw testing maps and using special equipment, such as the scanning electron microscope, electron probe and the optical microscope. The author puts forward the following improvement measures:① Ultrasonic flaws are caused by central porosity and segregation,[H] bubbles and inclusion in slabs.② Ultrasonic flaws are more likely to occur in the bottom and top of slabs rather than the other positions in the casting sequence. It is clear that one-quarter of the inner camber's thickness is accumulated inclusion.③ It is clear that overheating in the tundish and the flow of the casting mould have an effect on ultrasonic flaws caused by inclusions.④ Soft reduction improves central porosity and segregation, which decreases the number of ultrasonic flaws in the plate. | Xu Guodong Hou Angui Wang Hongbing Hu Huijun Liu Zicheng Wang Junkai | 2008 | Baosteel Technical Research2008,2,4: | 0
Effects of transient fluid flow and solidification on the transport of bubbles in a slab continuous casting mold显示文摘Transient molten steel flow in a slab continuous casting mold has been calculated using large eddy simulation, considering heat transfer and solidification. The transport of bubbles in the liquid pool of the solidified shell has been considered according to the dispersed phase model. A mathematical model has been used to evaluate the influence of bubble size, casting speed, and adsorption of nonmetallic inclusions on bubble removal and bubble distribution within the solidified shell in the mold. The results show that the ratio of bubbles floating to the top surface decreases with increasing casting speed and decreasing bubble diameter. Nonmetallic inclusion adsorption has a weak effect on the bubble. | HOU Angui XU Guodong LIU Zhongqiu LI Baokuan ZHANG Li JIANG Maofa | 2014 | Baosteel Technical Research2014,8,2: | 0
Study on attached ventilation based on inclined walls显示文摘In practical engineering, inclined building walls are often presented due to their functional and aesthetic needs.A reasonable air distribution design is essential for creating a satisfactory indoor environment in such buildings. In the present study, inclined walls with a variable inclination angle β were used as the research object to explore a novel air supply mode.Visualization experiments and numerical simulations were conducted to investigate the induced airflow, such as the airflow pattern, the airflow characteristics(maximum jet velocity decay and jet spreading rate)and the ventilation effect(vertical air temperature difference, draft rate, air diffusion performance index). The results show that the'air lake'phenomena occurred over the floor, which resembles the displacement ventilation to some extent. The proposed air supply mode has a good ventilation effect and could be applied to building spaces with inclined walls. The current study can be used as a reference for ventilation design in buildings with inclined walls. | Yicun Hou Angui Li Jing Yang Yu Tian Dingmeng Wu | 2021 | Building Simulation2021,14,3: | 0
