| 1 | Expansion of the Cathaysian Oldland through the Ordovician-Silurian transition:Emerging evidence and possible dynamics显示文摘Located northwest of the Jiangshan-Shaoxing Fault Zone,western and northwestern Zhejiang and northeastern Jiangxi provinces experienced major changes in bio-and litho-facies and paleogeography through the Ordovician-Silurian transition (late Katian,Hirnantian,and early Rhuddanian),as manifested by stratigraphic,paleontologic and synecologic records.Three geographic units under consideration are South,Central,and North areas.The western margin of the South area was occupied by the Huaiyu Mountains,whereas the other two parts were covered by the Zhe-Gan Sea during late Katian (Late Ordovician) time.In the early stage of the Changwu Formation deposition (late Katian),the sea was deepening northeastward,but with shallower conditions in the southwest and deeper conditions in the northeast.During mid to late stages of Changwu Formation deposition (latest Katian),the sea became much shallower and the sea bottom was uplifted substantially,which occurred somewhat prior to the global trend.During the Hirnantian (latest Ordovician) and early Rhuddanian (earliest Silurian),the study region became a shallow bay under expansion of the Cathaysian Oldland.There occurred a major drop of sea level and great changes in benthic biota with the occurrence of many new immigrants through the Ordovician-Silurian transition,which are closely related to a unique regional orogeny.The Yangtze and Cathaysian blocks may have amalgamated within the South China Paleoplate during this interval to cause the continuous uplifting and northwestward expansion of the Cathaysian Oldland. | RONG JiaYu ZHAN RenBin XU HongGen HUANG Bing YU GuoHua | 2010 | Science China Earth Sciences2010,53,1: | 37 |
| 2 | Effect of a Traditional Chinese Medicine combined therapy on adolescent idiopathic scoliosis:a randomized controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effectiveness of a combined Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) therapy versus conventional treatment on adolescent idiopathic scoliosis.METHODS:One hundred twenty outpatients with mild and moderate adolescent idiopathic scoliosis were randomly divided into a TCM group(TCMG)and a brace group(CG).TCMG patients underwent Daoyin,Tuina,and acupotomology therapies.CG patients were treated with a Milwaukee brace.Each patient's Cobb angle was measured after 12 and 24 months of treatment,and pulmonary function was determined after 12 months of treatment.Average electromyogram(AEMG) ratio of the surface electromyogram was measured after 6 and 12 months of treatment and followed-up after 18 and 24 months.RESULTS:The Cobb angle significantly decreased in both groups after 12 months of treatment compared with before treatment(P< 0.05).The percentages of original Cobb angle in TCMG and CG were51.4%and 47.8%(P > 0.05) after 12 months and62.5%and 34.7%(P < 0.05) after 24 months,respectively.Pulmonary function significantly improved after 12 months in TCMG(P < 0.05) but significantly decreased in CG(P < 0.05).The AEMG ratio was significantly lower(P < 0.01) and tended to remain at1 after stopping treatment in TCMG,but increased in CG(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:TCM combined therapy can prevent the progression of scoliosis.The AEMG ratio is a promising index that could replace radiography in the evaluation of treatment effect and progression in scoliosis. | Wei Hui Xu Jinyuan Jiang Zhong Ye Shuliang Song Hongquan Ning Xitao Huang Huanmin Chen Wei Pei Jianwei Jiang Nengyi Chen Shao Du Honggen | 2015 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,5: | 9 |
| 3 | Development and validation of a GC–FID method for quantitative analysis of oleic acid and related fatty acids显示文摘Oleic acid is a common pharmaceutical excipient that has been widely used in various dosage forms. Gas chromatography(GC) has often been used as the quantitation method for fatty acids normally requiring a derivatization step. The aim of this study was to develop a simple, robust, and derivatization-free GC method that is suitable for routine analysis of all the major components in oleic acid USP-NF(United States Pharmacopeia-National Formulary) material. A gas chromatography–fl ame ionization detection(GC–FID) method was developed for direct quantitative analysis of oleic acid and related fatty acids in oleic acid USP-NF material. Fifteen fatty acids were separated using a DB-FFAP(nitroterephthalic acid modi fi ed polyethylene glycol) capillary GC column(30 m 0.32 mm i.d.) with a total run time of 20 min.The method was validated in terms of speci fi city, linearity, precision, accuracy, sensitivity, and robustness. | 4 | Methane dry reforming on Ni/La_2Zr_2O_7 treated by plasma in different atmospheres显示文摘A series of Ni/La2Zr2O7 pyrochlore catalysts prepared by impregnation method and treated by dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) plasma in different atmospheres and varied sequences were prepared and applied for dry reforming of methane(DRM). It is found that all of the plasma treated catalysts show evidently improved activity and coke resistance in comparison with the non-plasma treated one. The best performance is achieved on Ni/La2Zr2O7–H2P–C,a catalyst treated in H2 plasma before calcination. TGA-DSC and SEM demonstrate that carbon deposition is significantly suppressed on all of the plasma treated samples. Moreover,XRD and TEM results testify that both Ni O and Ni sizes on the calcined and reduced samples treated by plasma are also decreased,which results in higher Ni metal dispersion on the reduced and used catalysts and enhances the interactions between Ni sites and the support. | 5 | Confined Ni-In intermetallic alloy nanocatalyst with excellent coking resistance for methane dry reforming显示文摘Carbon dioxide and methane are two main greenhouse gases which are contributed to serious global warming.Fortunately,dry reforming of methane(DRM),a very important reaction developed decades ago,can convert these two major greenhouse gases into value-added syngas or hydrogen.The main problem retarding its industrialization is the seriously coking formation upon the nickel-based catalysts.Herein,a series of confined indium-nickel(In-Ni)intermetallic alloy nanocatalysts(In_(x)Ni@SiO_(2))have been prepared and displayed superior coking resistance for DRM reaction.The sample containing 0.5 wt.%of In loading(In_(0.5)Ni@SiO_(2))shows the best balance of carbon deposition resistance and DRM reactivity even after 430 h long term stability test.The boosted carbon resistance can be ascribed to the confinement of core–shell structure and to the transfer of electrons from Indium to Nickel in In-Ni intermetallic alloys due to the smaller electronegativity of In.Both the silica shell and the increase of electron cloud density on metallic Ni can weaken the ability of Ni to activate C–H bond and decrease the deep cracking process of methane.The reaction over the confined InNi intermetallic alloy nanocatalyst was conformed to the Langmuir-Hinshelwood(L-H)mechanism revealed by in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(in-situ DRIFTS).This work provides a guidance to design high performance coking resistance catalysts for methane dry reforming to efficiently utilize these two main greenhouse gases. | Wenming Liu Le Li Sixue Lin Yiwei Luo Zhenghong Bao Yiru Mao Kongzhai Li Daishe Wu Honggen Peng | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,2: | 3 |

| 7 | Preparation and Characterization of PEGDE Crosslinked Silk Fibroin Film显示文摘To obtain water-insoluble silk fibroin(SF) materials, polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether(PEG-DE) was selected as a crosslinking agent to prepare SF films(blends). The reaction conditions were optimized for the crosslinking of the SF molecules. The hot water stability of the blends was measured using BCA protein assay and gravimetric analysis. The molecular conformation and crystalline structure of the blends were analyzed by FTIR and XRD, respectively. When the mass ratio of SF:PEG-DE was 1.0:0.8, the hot water loss rate of the SF blends was minimized. PEG-DE could induce SF molecules to form β-sheets during the gel reaction process, resulting in improved crystallinity and hot water dissolved resistance of the blend films. In order to demonstrate the cytotoxicity of the chemical reagents used to crosslink SF, L929 cells were seeded on the blend film(SF:PEG-DE = 1:1) and cultured for 3 days. Cells of L929 readily adhered and spread in the fusiform on the blend film resulting in high cell viability. | 8 | Accuracy characterization and measurement point planning for workpiece localization显示文摘This paper addresses the problem of accuracy characterization and measurement point planning for 3-D workpiece localization in the presence of part surface errors and measurement errors. Two frame-invariant functions of the infinitesimal rigid body displacement are defined to quantify the localization accuracy required by manufacturing processes. Then, two kinds of frame-invariant indices are derived to characterize the sensitivities of the accuracy measures to the sampling errors at the measurement points. With a dense set of discrete points on the workpiece datum surfaces pre-defined as candidates for measurement, planning of probing points for accurate recovery of part location is modeled as a combinatorial problem focusing on minimizing the accuracy sensitivity index. Based on an interchange rule, a greedy algorithm is developed to efficiently find a near-optimal solution. It is also shown that if the number of the measurement points is sufficiently large, there is no need to optimize their positions. | 9 | Generation of selectable marker-free soft transgenic rice with transparent kernels by downregulation of SSSⅡ-2显示文摘The amylose content(AC)of rice endosperm starch varies from 0 to 35%,and is associated with rice cooking and eating quality.Soft rice has low AC,generally between 6%and 15%,and its eating quality is high whether it is consumed hot or cold.However,the appearance quality of current soft rice cultivars needs to be improved,especially opaque endosperm.Conventional genetic engineering has improved some agronomic traits of soft rice varieties,but not endosperm appearance.In the present study,a RNAi construct of the soluble starch synthase II-2(SSSII-2)and the hygromycin phosphotransferase(HPT)gene were introduced into an elite japonica rice variety,Kangtiaowuyunjing(KWY8)by co-transformation.Several selectable marker-free(SMF)transgenic lines were obtained,and SSSII-2 expression was significantly downregulated in selected transgenic lines,resulting in lower AC of the endosperm.The physicochemical properties of the transgenic rice kernels,including gel consistency(GC)and rapid visco analyzer(RVA)profile,differed significantly from those of wild-type rice and were similar to those of a soft rice variety,Nanjing 46(NJ46).These findings indicate that the cooking,eating,and processing qualities of transgenic rice are comparable to those of NJ46.However,the transgenic rice endosperm retained a transparent appearance under low-moisture conditions.Thus,SMF SSSII-2 RNAi rice provides a resource for breeding soft rice with transparent endosperm. | Zhihao Xu Meimei Yu Youwei Yin Cenwen Zhu Wen Ji Changquan Zhang Qianfeng Li Honggen Zhang Shuzu Tang Hengxiu Yu Qiaoquan Liu | 2020 | The Crop Journal2020,8,1: | 2 |
