1A reactive oxygen species-responsive hydrogel encapsulated with bone marrow derived stem cells promotes repair and regeneration of spinal cord injury显示文摘Spinal cord injury(SCI)is an overwhelming and incurable disabling event accompanied by complicated inflammation-related pathological processes,such as excessive reactive oxygen species(ROS)produced by the infiltrated inflammatory immune cells and released to the extracellular microenvironment,leading to the widespread apoptosis of the neuron cells,glial and oligodendroctyes.In this study,a thioketal-containing and ROS-scavenging hydrogel was prepared for encapsulation of the bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs),which promoted the neurogenesis and axon regeneration by scavenging the overproduced ROS and re-building a regenerative microenvironment.The hydrogel could effectively encapsulate BMSCs,and played a remarkable neuroprotective role in vivo by reducing the production of endogenous ROS,attenuating ROS-mediated oxidative damage and downregulating the inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-1 beta(IL-1β),interleukin-6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α),resulting in a reduced cell apoptosis in the spinal cord tissue.The BMSCs-encapsulated ROS-scavenging hydrogel also reduced the scar formation,and improved the neurogenesis of the spinal cord tissue,and thus distinctly enhanced the motor functional recovery of SCI rats.Our work provides a combinational strategy against ROS-mediated oxidative stress,with potential applications not only in SCI,but also in other central nervous system diseases with similar pathological conditions.Ziming Li Tengfei Zhao Jie Ding Haochen Gu Qiaoxuan Wang Yifan Wang Deteng Zhang Changyou Gao 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,1:2
2Reduced graphene oxide-modified Ni Co-phosphates on Ni foam enabling high areal capacitances for asymmetric supercapacitors显示文摘NiCo-phosphates can deliver high specific capacitances and high electrochemical activities as pseudocapacitive electrode material for supercapacitors.In this study,The NiCo-phosphates@reduced graphene oxide(NCPO@rGO)composite is directly loaded on Ni foam by a simple one-step hydrothermal process.The conductive rGO sheets provides continuous electron pathways between NCPO flowers and Ni foam,allowing active electrochemical reactions throughout the whole electrode.This can solve the difficulty of low active material utility and small areal capacitances in the Ni foam-supported electrodes.At the same time,the rGO sheets creates large amount of mesopores within the electrode,which can ensure a highly open structure for electrolyte attachment and ion transport.Because of the positive effect of rGO in improving charge transfe r,the NiCo-phosphates can be fully involved in the electrochemical reactions with high utility,ensuring high specific capacitances(1416.7 F g^(-1)at 1 A g^(-1))and high-rate performances.Specially,the areal capacitance of the NCPO@rGO electrode can reach as large as 3.69 F cm^(-2)at 1 A g^(-1),which is among the highest ones in Ni foam supported electrodes.An asymmetric supercapacitor is then fabricated by NCPO@rGO as the positive material with attractive energy densities and power densities,further proving its excellent electrochemical performance.Chao Sun Li Sun Yuanxing Zhang Haochen Si Kaifeng Fan Yan Shi Jialin Gu Yihe Zhang 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,31:0
