| 1 | Review of grain threshing theory and technology显示文摘Threshing is the most important function of grain harvester.Grain loss and damage in harvesting are significantly related to threshing theory and technology.There are four kinds of threshing principles including impact,rubbing,combing and grinding.Four types of contact models between grain and threshing components have been constructed correspondently.Grain damage can be regarded as a function of peripheral velocity and contact pattern of impacting.Grain loss can be regarded as a function of contact pattern of rasp bars.Grain loss coming from cleaning and separation in the subsequent process of combing threshing was significantly decreased.Tangential and axial threshing technologies have been applied in grain threshing system widely.It showed that in the combined application,tangential rolls are used to accelerate grain flow,and axial rolls are used to increase threshing quality especially lower loss and damage.Conical concave may take the place of the traditional cylindrical one.With the development of sensor technology and communication technology,intelligent harvesting robot and automatic threshing system will be integrated together to improve grain quality and operation comfort. | Jun Fu Zhi Chen Lujia Han Luquan Ren | 2018 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,3: | 5 |
| 2 | Catalysis performance comparison of a Br?nsted acid H_2SO_4 and a Lewis acid Al_2(SO_4)_3 in methyl levulinate production from biomass carbohydrates显示文摘An experimental investigation was conducted to understand the roles of the Br?nsted acid H_2SO_4 and Lewis acid Al_2(SO_4)_3 in methyl levulinate(ML) production from biomass carbohydrates, including glucose,fructose and cellulose. The product distributions with different catalysts revealed that the Lewis acid was responsible for the isomerization of methyl glucoside(MG), producing a significant amount of the subsequent product 5-methoxymethylfurfural(MMF), while the Br?nsted acid facilitated the production of ML from MMF. Al_2(SO_4)_3 was efficient for monosaccharide conversion but not for cellulose. Using ball-milled cellulose with Al_2(SO_4)_3 resulted in a desired ML yield within a reasonable reaction time. | 3 | Comparison and rapid prediction of lignocellulose and organic elements of a wide variety of rice straw based on near infrared spectroscopy显示文摘Rice straw is a major kind of biomass that can be utilized as lignocellulosic materials and renewable energy.Rapid prediction of the lignocellulose(cellulose,hemicellulose,and lignin)and organic elements(carbon,hydrogen,nitrogen,and sulfur)of rice straw would help to decipher its growth mechanisms and thereby improve its sustainable usages.In this study,364 rice straw samples featuring different rice subspecies(japonica and indica),growing seasons(early-,middle-,and late-season),and growing environments(irrigated and rainfed)were collected,the differences among which were examined by multivariate analysis of variance.Statistic results showed that the cellulose content exhibited significant differences among different growing seasons at a significant level(p<0.01),and the contents of cellulose and nitrogen had significant differences between different growing environments(p<0.01).Near infrared reflectance spectroscopy(NIRS)models for predicting the lignocellulosic and organic elements were developed based on two algorithms including partial least squares(PLS)and competitive adaptive reweighted sampling-partial least squares(CARS-PLS).Modeling results showed that most CARS-PLS models are of higher accuracy than the PLS models,possibly because the CARS-PLS models selected optimal combinations of wavenumbers,which might have enhanced the signal of chemical bonds and thereby improved the predictive efficiency.As a major contributor to the applications of rice straw,the nitrogen content was predicted precisely by the CARS-PLS model.Generally,the CARS-PLS models efficiently quantified the lignocellulose and organic elements of a wide variety of rice straw.The acceptable accuracy of the models allowed their practical applications. | Abdoulaye Aguibou Diallo Zengling Yang Guanghui Shen Jinyi Ge Zichao Li Lujia Han | 2019 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,2: | 2 |
| 4 | Discriminant analysis of terrestrial animal fat and oil adulteration in fish oil by infrared spectroscopy显示文摘In order to improve the effective utilization of animal fats and oils,and then ensure the feeding quality and safety in the field of animal husbandry engineering,the discriminant analysis of different species of terrestrial animal fats and oils in fish oil based on Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy was explored in this study.Twenty-seven different species of animal fat and oil materials including fish oil,lard,chicken oil,tallow and suet were studied.The experimental calibration and validation samples were prepared by adulterating different proportions of terrestrial fat and oil in fish oil.Results show that,it is easy to discriminate different species of raw material of fish oil,lard,chicken oil and ruminant fats based on the infrared spectral characteristics,while the distinction of tallow from suet samples is difficult.For the adulterated samples with percentage range of 1%-60%(w/w),ideal results were obtained to discriminate the terrestrial fat and oil ingredients(lard,chicken oil,tallow and suet)in fish oil,the correct discriminant rates for the independent validation set were all higher than 95%.It was proved by further study that the detection limits for the discriminant analysis of lard,chicken oil,tallow and suet in fish oil were 0.8%,0.6%,2%and 3%,respectively. | Xu Lingzhi Gao Fei Yang Zengling Han Lujia Liu Xian | 2016 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,3: | 2 |
| 5 | Efficient microwave-assisted production of biofuel ethyl levulinate from corn stover in ethanol medium显示文摘Levulinate esters are versatile chemicals that have been used in various fields. Herein, the production of ethyl levulinate(EL) from corn stover was investigated under microwave irradiation. Several reaction parameters, including acid concentration, reaction temperature, reaction time, and liquid-to-solid mass ratio, were investigated to evaluate the reaction conditions. Response surface methodology(RSM) was employed to optimize the reaction conditions for the production of EL. A quadratic polynomial model was fitted to the data with an R2 value of 0.93. The model validation results reflected a good fit between the experimental and predicted values. A high conversion yield(58.1 mol%) was obtained at the optimum conditions of 190 °C, 30.4 min, 2.84 wt% acid, and 15 g/g liquid-to-solid mass ratio. Compared with conventional heating, microwave irradiation facilitated the conversion of corn stover to EL by dramatically shortening the reaction time from several hours to ~30 min. | 15 | Crosslinking and functionalization of acellular patches via the self-assembly of copper@tea polyphenol nanoparticles显示文摘Decellularization is a promising technique to produce natural scaffolds for tissue engineering applications.However,non-crosslinked natural scaffolds disfavor application in cardiovascular surgery due to poor biomechanics and rapid degradation.Herein,we proposed a green strategy to crosslink and functionalize acellular scaffolds via the self-assembly of copper@tea polyphenol nanoparticles(Cu@TP NPs),and the resultant nanocomposite acellular scaffolds were named as Cu@TP-dBPs.The crosslinking degree,biomechanics,denaturation temperature and resistance to enzymatic degradation of Cu@TP-dBPs were comparable to those of glutaraldehyde crosslinked decellularized bovine pericardias(Glut-dBPs).Furthermore,Cu@TP-dBPs were biocompatible and had abilities to inhibit bacterial growth and promote the formation of capillary-like networks.Subcutaneous implantation models demonstrated that Cu@TP-dBPs were free of calcification and allowed for host cell infiltration at Day 21.Cardiac patch graft models confirmed that Cu@TP-dBP patches showed improved ingrowth of functional blood vessels and remodeling of extracellular matrix at Day 60.These results suggested that Cu@TP-dBPs not only had comparable biomechanics and biostability to Glut-dBPs,but also had several advantages over Glut-dBPs in terms of anticalcification,remodeling and integration capabilities.Particularly,they were functional patches possessing antibacterial and proangiogenic activities.Thesematerial properties and biological functionsmade Cu@TP-dBPs a promising functional acellular patch for cardiovascular applications. | Qin Li Yuan Gao Jiajun Zhang Yangfeng Tang Yangyong Sun Lujia Wu Hao Wu Meifang Shen Xiaohong Liu Lin Han Zhiyun Xu | 2022 | Regenerative Biomaterials2022,9,1: | 1 |
