2Progress and Prospects of Salt Lake Research in China显示文摘China has unique salt lake resources, and they are distributed in the east of Eurasian salt lake subzone of the Northern Hemisphere Salt Lake Zone, mainly concentrated in the regions with modern mean annual precipitation lower than 500 mm. This paper preliminarily reviews the progress made in salt lake research in China for the past 60 years. In the research of Paleoclimate and paleoenvironment from salt lake sediments, a series of salts have been proposed to be indicators of paleoclimate, and have been well accepted by scholars. The chloride-sulfate depositional regions of the west Qaidam and the east Tarim have been revealed to be the drought center of China since the Quaternary, and more than 6 spreading stages of arid climate(salt forming) have been identified. Five pan-lake periods with highstands have been proved to exist during the late Quaternary on the Tibetan Plateau. In mineral resource prospecting and theories of the forming of salt deposits: the atlas(1:2500000) of hydrochemical zoning of salt lakes on the Tibetan Plateau has been compiled for the first time, revealing the zonal distribution and transition from carbonate type to chloride type from south to north and presenting corresponding mineral assemblages for different type of salt lakes; several large continental salt deposits have been discovered and the theory of continental potash deposition has been developed, including the salt deposition in deep basins surrounded by high mountains, the mineral deposition from multistage evolution through chains of moderate or shallow lakes with multilevels, the origin of potassium rich brines in gravel layers, and the forming of potassium deposits through the inheriting from ancient salt deposits, thus establishing the framework of 'Continental Potash Deposition Theory'; several new types of Mg-borate deposits have been discovered, including the ulexite and pinnoite bed in Da Qaidam Lake, Qinghai, the pinnoite and kurnakovite bed in Chagcam Caka, Tibet, the kurnakovite bed in Lake Nyer, and the corresponding model of borate deposition from the cooling and dissolution of boron rich brines was proposed based on principles of geology, physics and chemistry. The anti-floatation-cold crystallization method developed independently has improved the capacity of KCl production to 3 million tons per year for the Qarham, serving the famous brand of potash fertilizer products. One 1.2 million ton K-sulfate production line, the biggest in the world, has been built in Lop Nor, and K-sulfate of about 1.6 million tons was produced in 2015. Supported by the new technology, i.e. brine preparation in winter-cooling-solarization-isolation-lithium deposition from salt gradient solar pond' the highest lithium production base at Zabuye Lake(4421 m), Tibet, has been established, which is the first lithium production base in China that reaches the year production of 5000 tons of lithium carbonate. The concept of Salt lake agriculture(Salt land agriculture) has been established based on the mass growth of Dunaliella and other bacillus-algae and the occurrence of various halophytes in saltmarsh and salt saline-alkali lands, finding a new way to increase arable lands and develop related green industry in salt rich environments. 5Electrochemical properties of spinel LiMn_2O_4 and LiAl_(0.1)Mn_(1.9)O_(3.9)F_(0.1) synthesized by solid-state reaction显示文摘Two types of spinel cathode powders, LiMn2O4 and LiAl0.1Mn1.9O3.9F0.1, were synthesized by solid-state reaction. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns of the prepared samples were identified as the spinel structure with a space group of Fd 3 m. The cubic lattice parameter was determined from least-squares fitting of the XRD data. The LiAl0.1Mn1.9O3.9F0.1 sample showed a little lower initial capacity, but better cycling performance than the LiMn2O4 sample at both room temperature and an elevated temperature. The Vanderbilt method was used to test the electrochemical conductivity of the LiMn2O4 samples. 6A review on the critical challenges and progress of SiO_(x)-based anodes for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘With the advantages of abundant resources,high specific capacity,and relatively stable cycling performance,silicon suboxides(SiO_(x) ,x<2)have been recently suggested as promising anodes for next-generation lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).SiO_(x) exhibits superior storage capability because of the presence of silicon and smaller volume change upon charge/discharge than Si owing to the buffering effect of the initial lithiation products of inert lithium oxide and lithium silicates,enabling a stable cycle life of electrodes.However,significant improvements such as overcoming issues related to volume changes in cycling and initial irreversible capacity loss and enhancing the ionic and electronic charge transport in poorly conducting SiO_(x) electrodes,are still needed to achieve the satisfactory performance required for commercial applications.This review summarizes recent progress on the cycling performance and initial coulombic efficiency of SiO_(x) .Advances in the design of particle morphology and composite composition,prelithiation and prereduction methods,and usage of electrolyte additives and optimized electrode binders are discussed.Perspectives on the promising research directions that might lead to further improvement of the electrochemical properties of SiO_(x) -based anodes are noted.This paper can serve as a basis for the research and development of high-energy-density LIBs.Nana Yao Yu Zhang Xianhui Rao Zhao Yang Kun Zheng KonradŚwierczek Hailei Zhao 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,4:4
7Effect of burden and origin sites of premature ventricular contractions on left ventricular function by 7-day Holter monitor显示文摘Recent studies have shown that premature ventricular contractions(PVCs) could enlarge the heart,but its risk factors are incompletely understood as a single 24-hour recording cannot reflect the true PVC burden due to day-to-day variability.Our purpose was to investigate the effect of burden and origin sites on left ventricular(LV) function in patients with PVCs by 7-day Holter electrocardiography(ECG).From May 2012 to August2013,112 consecutive patients with PVCs were recruited from the authors' affiliated hospital.All patients received2-dimensional transthoracic echocardiography,12-lead routing ECG and 7-days Holter ECG.Serum N-terminal probrain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP) levels were measured.A total of 102 participants with PVCs were included in the final analysis.Origin of PVCs from the tricuspid annulus had the highest burden and NT-proBNP level.LV papillary muscle had a higher LV ejection fraction(EF) level and a lower LV end-systolic dimension(ESD) than other PVC foci(P<0.05).The high burden group had a higher LV end-diastolic dimension(EDD) and LVESD but lower LVEF than the other two groups(P<0.05).Female,older age,physical work,and history of PVCs had a significantly positive correlation with symptoms.Male,older age,physical work,and high burden were positive predictors of enlarged LVEDD,LVESD and higher serum NT-proBNP level,but lower LVEF.Seven-day dynamic ECG Holter monitor showed the true PVC burden on patients with PVCs.PVCs with a lower burden or origin from the LV papillary muscle and the fascicle were relatively benign,while PVCs with a higher burden or origin from the tricuspid annulus may lead to cardiac dysfunction.Wenhua Xu Mingfang Li Minglong Chen Bing Yang Daowu Wang Xiangqing Kong Hongwu Chen Weizhu Ju Kai Gu Kejiang Cao Hailei Liu Qi Jiang Jiaojiao Shi Yan Cui Hong Wang 2015The Journal of Biomedical Research2015,29,6:4
8CCA Inferred Environmental Implications of Common Ostracods on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau显示文摘103 surface sediment samples in 71 water bodies,such as lakes with different salinity,swamps,shallow puddles and rivers on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau(QTP),were collected to study the ecological distribution of living ostracods and their environmental implications. Total of 12 genus and 45 species living ostracods are identified. According to the frequencies and abundance of ostracods occurrence,Limnocythere dubiosa,Limnocytherellina kunlunensis,Ilyocypris bradyi,Candona candida,Eucypris rischtanica and Leucocythere dilatata are the common species on the QTP,with occurrence frequency of more than 8 and abundance of more than 570 in the 71 water bodies. Among them,L. dubiosa,occurring in 28 water bodies with 2177 shells,is the most widely distributed ostracod in this research. Canonical Correspondence Analysis(CCA) indicates high correlation between species and environmental variables,suggesting that the occurrence of species is strongly related to the changes in ecological conditions of habitats. Among eight environmental factors,salinity and p H value are the most affective variables that influence the species occurrence. L. kunlunensis is positively correlated with salinity while E. rischtanica is negatively correlated with salinity. C. candida has a positive correlation with salinity,as does I. bradyi although there is not such a strong correlation. L. dubiosa displays a positive correlation with p H value. Consequently,we discuss the environmental implications of the common living ostracods on the QTP based on the CCA as well as the distribution of ostracod species in different salinity and p H values water. L. dubiosa,L. kunlunensis and E. rischtanica are euryhaline species,among which,L. dubiosa is the most adaptable species on the QTP with large occurrence in sundry salinity water and the most widely adaptive range for p H values. L. kunlunensis prefers to saline water while E. rischtanica prefers to fresh water. Both L. kunlunensis and E. rischtanica can live in water from faintly acid to alkaline,in contrast,L. dubiosa only appears in neutral and alkaline water bodies. I. bradyi only occurs in fresh water and oligohaline water with a large p H tolerance range tolerance range from weakly acidic water to alkaline water weakly acidic water to alkaline water. C. Candida lives in freshwater,with p H value above eight. 9Algorithm for retrieving surface pressure from hyper-spectral measurements in oxygen A-band显示文摘An algorithm for retrieving the surface pressure from oxygen A-band measurements in the future Chinese CO2satellite(CarbonSpec/TanSat)was developed.The ful physical radiative transfer model,vector radiative transfe model based on successive order of scattering,which i based on the successive order of scattering approach,wa used to simulate the measurements of CarbonSpec/TanSat as well as the kernel matrix in the inversion algorithm,and then the surface pressure and other related atmospheric parameters such as aerosol optical depth(AOD),surface albedo,and temperature were derived through optima estimation theory.Sensitivities of the algorithm to surface albedo,solar zenith angle(SZA),viewing zenith angle(VZA),aerosol type,and AOD were investigated,and the results showed that the absolute error of retrieved surface pressure increases with decreasing surface albedo o increasing SZA and VZA.An accuracy of\4 hPa ove bright surfaces(surface albedo C0.15)could be derived fo various SZAs and viewing geometries.Moreover,the algorithm can simultaneously retrieve the surface albedo AOD,and its vertical distribution indicated by scaleHailei Liu Minzheng Duan Daren L Yan Zhang 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,14:4
10Si/MgO composite anodes for Li-ion batteries显示文摘A Si/MgO composite anode material was prepared by a simple magnesium reduction process using silicon oxide and magnesium as starting reactants.The feasibility of this process is discussed from the thermodynamic viewpoint.The resultant composite material is mainly composed of Si and MgO components.MgO,acting as a buffer layer,can accommodate the large volume change of active Si during the charge/discharge process,thus the cycling stability is improved.Electrochemical tests demonstrate that the first charge and discharge capacities of the synthesized Si/MgO composite anode are ca.1380 and 1046 mAh g-1,respectively,with an initial coulomb efficiency of ca.76%.The magnesium reduction process provides a novel idea for the synthesis of Si-based anode materials.CHEN Jingbo ZHAO Hailei HE Jianchao WANG Jing 2011Rare Metals2011,30,2:3
11Redox-responsive ferrocene-containing poly(ionic liquid)s for antibacterial applications显示文摘Ferrocene(Fc)-containing imidazolium type ionic liquids(ILs) and corresponding poly(ionic liquid)(PIL) membranes with tunable antibacterial activity based on electrochemical redox reaction and host-guest chemistry were developed. The effect of Fc moiety on the antimicrobial activities against both Staphylococcus aureus(S. aureus) and Escherichia coli(E. coli) was studied by minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC). The presence of Fc groups highly enhanced the antibacterial efficiency of Fccontaining ILs because of the generation of reactive oxygen species(ROS). The electrochemical oxidation of Fc to Fc+and the formation of inclusion complexes between Fc and β-CD via host-guest interactions decreased the antibacterial activities of ILs and PIL membranes. The antibacterial activities may be recovered in some extent upon the electrochemical reduction of Fc+to Fc or the exclusion of the Fc out of the cavity of β-CD. 12An Operational Precipitable Water Vapor Retrieval Algorithm for Fengyun-2F/VISSR Using a Modified Three-Band Physical Split-Window Method显示文摘The Visible and Infrared Spin-Scan Radiometer(VISSR) onboard the Fengyun-2(FY-2) satellite can provide valuable thermal infrared observations to help create a precipitable water vapor(PWV) product with high spatial and temporal resolutions. The current FY-2/VISSR PWV product in operation is produced by using a traditional two-band physical split-window(PSW) method, which produces low quality results under dry atmospheric conditions. Based on the sensitivity characteristics of FY-2 F/VISSR water vapor channel and two split-window channels to atmospheric water vapor, this study developed a new, robust operational PWV retrieval algorithm for FY-2 F to improve the operational precision of the current PWV product. The algorithm uses a modified three-band PSW method, which adds a scale for the water vapor channel in the improved three-band PSW method. Integrated PWV products from the radiosonde data in 2016 are used here to validate the precision of the PWV retrieved by the modified three-band and traditional two-band PSW methods. The mean bias, root mean square error(RMSE), and correlation coefficient of the PWV retrieved by the modified three-band PSW method are 0.28 mm, 4.53 mm, and 0.969, respectively. The accuracy is much better than the PWV retrieved by the two-band method, whose mean bias, RMSE, and correlation coefficient are 12.67 mm, 29.35 mm, and 0.23. Especially, in mid-or high-latitude regions, the RMSE of the PWV is improved from 10 to 2 mm by changing the inversion in the two-band method to the modified three-band PSW method. Furthermore, the modified three-band PSW results show a better consistency with the radiosonde PWV at any zonal belt and season than the two-band PSW results. 13Microwave enhanced chemical reduction process for nitrite-containing wastewater treatment using sulfaminic acid显示文摘High-concentration nitrite-containing wastewater that presents extreme toxicity to human health and organisms is difficult to be treated using traditional biological process. In this study, a novel microwave-enhanced chemical reduction process (MECRP) using sulfaminic acid (SA) was proposed as a new manner to treat such type of wastewater. Based on lab-scale experiments, it was shown that 75%-80% nitrite (NO2-) could be removed within time as short as 4 min under 50 W microwave irradiation in pH range 5-10 when molar ratio of SA to nitrite (SA/NO2-) was 0.8. Pilot-scale investigations demonstrated that MECRP was able to achieve nitrite and chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal with effciency up to 80% and 20%, respectively under operating conditions of SA concentration 80 kg/m3, SA/ NO2- ratio 0.8, microwave power 3.4 kW, and stirring time 3 min. Five-day biological oxygen demand (BOD5)/COD value of treated efluent after MECRP was increased from 0.05 to 0.36 (by 620%), which clearly suggested a considerable improvement of biodegradability for subsequent biological treatment. 14Pore pressure observation: pressure response of probe penetration and tides显示文摘Excess pore water pressure is an important parameter that can be used to analyze certain physical characteristics of sediment.In this paper,the excess pore water pressure of subseafloor sediment and its variation with tidal movement was measured following the installation of a wharf in Qingdao,China by using a fiber Bragg grating(FBG)piezometer.The results indicated that this FBG piezometer is effective in the field.The measured variation of excess pore water pressure after installation is largely explained by the dissipation of excess pore water pressure.The dissipation rate can be used to estimate the horizontal consolidation coefficient,which ranged from 1.3×10^–6 m^2/s to 8.1×10^–6 m^2/s.The measured values during tidal phases are associated with the variability of tidal pressure on the seafloor and can be used to estimate the compressibility and the permeability of the sediment during tidal movement.The volume compression coefficient estimated from tidal oscillation was approximately 2.0×10^–11 Pa^–1,which was consistent with the data from the laboratory test.The findings of this paper can provide useful information for in situ investigations of subseafloor sediment.Tao Liu Guanli Wei Hailei Kou Lei Guo 2019Acta Oceanologica Sinica2019,38,7:3
15Rational structure design to realize high-performance SiOx@C anode material for lithium ion batteries显示文摘Silicon suboxide(SiOx)is considered to be one of the most promising materials for next-generation anode due to its high energy density.For its preparation,the wet-chemistry method is a cost-effective and readily scalable route,while the so-derived SiOx usually shows lower capacity compared with that prepared by high temperature-vacuum evaporation route.Herein,we present an elaborate particle structure design to realize the wet-chemistry preparation of a high-performance SiOx/C nanocomposite.Dandelion-like highly porous SiOx particle coated with conformal carbon layer is designed and prepared.The highly-porous SiOx skeleton provides plenty specific surface for intimate contact with carbon layer to allow a deep reduction of SiOx to a low O/Si ratio at relatively low temperature(700℃),enabling a high specific capacity.The abundant mesoscale voids effectively accommodate the volume variation of SiOx skeleton,ensuring the high structural stability of SiOx@C during lithiation/delithiation process.Meanwhile,the three-dimensional(3D)conformal carbon layer provides a fast electron/ion transportation,allowing an enhanced electrodereaction kinetics.Owing to the optimized O/Si ratio and well-engineered structure,the prepared SiOx@C electrode delivers an ultra-high capacity(1,115.8 mAh·g^-1 at 0.1 A·g^-1 after 200 cycles)and ultra-long lifespan(635 mAh·g^-1 at 2 A·g^-l after 1,000 cycles).To the best of our knowledge,the achieved combination of ultra-high specific capacity and ultra-long cycling life is unprecedented.Zhaolin Li Hailei Zhao Jie Wang Tianhou Zhang Boyang Fu Zijia Zhang Xin Tao 2020Nano Research2020,13,2:3

17Electrochemical characteristics of CoSn_x alloy composite anode for lithium-ion rechargeable batteries显示文摘Nano/micro-scaled CoSnx alloy powders synthesized via carbothermal reduction at 800 ℃ with different compositions were characterized for anode materials in Li-ion battery. The synthesized spherical CoSnx particles show a loose nano/micro sized particle structural characteristic, which is apparently favorable for the improvement of cycling stability. The prepared CoSn3 alloy composite electrode exhibits a low initial irreversible capacity of ca.130 mAh·g-1 and a high specific capacity of ca.440 mAh·g-1 at constant current density of 100 mA·g-1. 18CAPE promotes the expansion of human umbilical cord blood-derived hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells in vitro显示文摘Due to the low number of collectable stem cells from single umbilical cord blood(UCB)unit,their initial uses were limited to pediatric therapies.Clinical applications of UCB hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells(HSPCs)would become feasible if there were a culture method that can effectively expand HSPCs while maintaining their self-renewal capacity.In recent years,numerous attempts have been made to expand human UCB HSPCs in vitro.In this study,we report that caffeic acid phenethyl ester(CAPE),a small molecule from honeybee extract,can promote in vitro expansion of HSPCs.Treatment with CAPE increased the percentage of HSPCs in cultured mononuclear cells.Importantly,culture of CD34+HSPCs with CAPE resulted in a significant increase in total colony-forming units and high proliferative potential colony-forming units.Burst-forming unit-erythroid was the mostly affected colony type,which increased more than 3.7-fold in 1μg mL 1CAPE treatment group when compared to the controls.CAPE appears to induce HSPC expansion by upregulating the expression of SCF and HIF1-α.Our data suggest that CAPE may become a potent medium supplement for in vitro HSPC expansion.LIU YiMing ZHANG BoWen ZHANG Jing WANG SiHan YAO HaiLei HE LiJuan CHEN Lin YUE Wen LI YanHua PEI XueTao 2014Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,2:2
19Microbial Mats in Tibetan Hot Springs and their Contributions to the Cesium-bearing Geyserite Ore Formation显示文摘Microbial mats,mainly dominated by filamentous algae Calothrix and Oscillatoria,are well developed in Tibetan hot springs.A great number of fossil microorganisms,which existed as algae lamination in thermal depositional cesium-bearing geyserite in this area,are identified as Calothrix and Oscillatoria through microexamination and culture experiments.These microbial mats show the ability to accumulate cesium from spring water to the extent of cesium concentration of 0.46-1.03% cell dry weight,900 times higher than that in water,and capture large numbers of cesium-bearing opal grain.Silicon dioxide colloid in spring water replaces and fills with the organism and deposits on it to form algae laminated geyserite after dehydration and congelation.Cesium in the microbial mats and opal grain is then reserved in the geyserite.Eventually,cesium-bearing algae laminated geyserite is formed.Study on cesium distribution in geyserite also shows that cesium content in algae lamination,especially in heavily compacted algae lamination,is higher than in the opal layer.For geyserite with no algae lamination or other organism structure,which is generally formed in spring water with low silicon content,cesium accumulation and cesium-bearing opal grain assembled by the microbial mats are also indispensable.After the microbial mats accumulating cesium from spring water,silicon dioxide colloid poorly replaces and fills with the organism to form opal grain-bearing tremellose microbial mats.The shape and structure of the organisms are then destroyed,resulting in cesium-bearing geyserite with no algae lamination structure after dehydration and congelation.It is then concluded that microbial mats in the spring area contribute to the enrichment of cesium in the formation of cesium-bearing geyserite,and a biological genesis of the geyserite,besides of the physical and chemical genesis,is likely.WANG Hailei ZHENG Mianping KONG Fanjing 2012Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2012,86,1:2
