1Alkali-activation reactivity of chemosynthetic Al_2O_3-2SiO_2 powders and their ^(27)Al and ^(29)Si magic-angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance spectra显示文摘Pure Al_2O_3-2SiO_2 powders were prepared by sol-gel and coprecipitation methods,and their alkaliactivation reactivities were compared.The alkali-activation reactivity of the powder prepared by the sol-gel method was higher than that of the powder prepared by the coprecipitation method.The powders were investigated by ^(27)AI and ^(29)Si magic-angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy(MAS NMR) to understand the relationship between their structure and alkali-activation reactivity.The ^(27)Al MAS NMR data showed that the five-coordinate AI content of the powder prepared by the sol-gel method was higher than that of the powder prepared by coprecipitation.The higher content of five-coordinate Al corresponded to higher alkali-activation reactivity.The ^(29)Si MAS NMR data showed that for the powder prepared by the sol-gel method,silicon was replaced by aluminum at secondary coordination sites of the central Si atoms during calcination.However,for the powder prepared by single-batch coprecipitation,the main change was from a low degree of polycondensation to a high degree of polycondensation.Guangjian Zheng Xuemin Cui Dong Huang Jinying Pang Guowei Mo Shujuan Yu Zhangfa Tong 2015Particuology2015,13,5:3

3Methylation of PLK1 by SET7/9 ensures accurate kinetochore–microtubule dynamics显示文摘Faithful segregation of mitotic chromosomes requires bi-orientation of sister chromatids, which relies on the sensing of correct attachments between spindle microtubules and kinetochores. Although the mechanisms underlying PLK1 activation have been extensively studied, the regulatory mechanisms that couple PLK1 activity to accurate chromosome segregation are not well understood. In particular, PLK1 is implicated in stabilizing kinetochore–microtubule attachments, but how kinetochore PLK1 activity is regulated to avoid hyperstabilized kinetochore–microtubules in mitosis remains elusive. Here, we show that kinetochore PLK1 kinase activity is modulated by SET7/9 via lysine methylation during early mitosis. The SET7/9-elicited dimethylation occurs at the Lys191 of PLK1, which tunes down its activity by limiting ATP utilization. Overexpression of the non-methylatable PLK1 mutant or chemical inhibition of SET7/9 methyltransferase activity resulted in mitotic arrest due to destabilized kinetochore–microtubule attachments. These data suggest that kinetochore PLK1 is essential for stable kinetochore–microtubule attachments and methylation by SET7/9 promotes dynamic kinetochore–microtubule attachments for accurate error correction. 4Self-enhancing photothermal conversion of 2D Weyl semimetal WTe_(2)with topological surface states for efficient solar vapor generation显示文摘To improve the performance of solar energy-driven water generation,two-dimensional(2D)photothermal materials requisite to be optimized by some strategies such as alloying,combination of plasmonic and defect modulation.However,the challenges faced in practical utilization are the complex preparation process and insufficient solar spectrum absorption.Herein,we propose a strategy of self-enhancing photothermal performance induced by topological surface states(TSSs).2D WTe_(2)is fabricated on the mixed cellulose ester(MCE)for photothermal device.Compared to the MCE and pure water,WTe_(2)@MCE has an excellent photothermal evaporation rate of 1.09 kg·m^(−2)·h^(−1)upon 1 sun irradiation,promoting 6.1 and 3.1 times,respectively.It can be attributed to the characteristics of 2D Weyl semimetal WTe_(2)with TSSs bringing about high optical absorption capacity,low thermal diffusivity,specific heat capacity,and high carrier density,which are strongly proved by experiments and calculation.More importantly,the contribution of TSSs to the enhancement of optical absorption for efficient solar water generation is revealed by the comparative experiment between 2D WTe_(2)with TSSs and that without TSSs.Furthermore,photothermal conversion mechanism is explored in-depth understanding that the photoexcited electrons recombinate with the holes through nonradiative mode for releasing thermal energy by phonons emission via multiple pathway.This work promotes the application of Weyl semimetal material with TSSs in solar water evaporation.Chun Du Ziyi Yang Anzhen Mo Xuanming Duan Guowei Yang 2023Nano Research2023,16,8:0
