| 4 | Selenium as a chemopreventive agent in experimentally induced colon carcinogenesis显示文摘AIM:To elucidate the chemopreventive efficacy of selenium during experimentally induced colon carcinogenesis.METHODS:Thirty-two male wistar rats were divided into four groups:group □(normal control);group □[1,2-dimethylhydrazine(DMH) treated];group □ (selenium treated);and group □ (DMH + selenium treated).Groups □ and □ were given subcutaneous injections of DMH(30 mg/kg body weight) every week for 20 wk.Selenium,in the form of sodium selenite,was given to groups □ and at 1 ppm in drinking water ad libitum for 20 wk.At the end of the study,rats were sacrificed and their colons were analyzed for the development of tumors,antioxidant enzyme levels and histological changes.RESULTS:100 of the DMH treated rats developed tumors,which was reduced to 60 upon simultaneous selenium supplementation.Similarly,tumor multiplicity decreased to 1.1 following selenium supplementation to DMH treated rats.Levels of lipid peroxidation,glutathione-S-transferase,superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase,and glutathione peroxidase(GPx) decreased following DMH treatment,whereas levels of glutathione(GSH) and glutathione reductase(GR) significantly increased in DMH treated rats.Selenium administration to DMH treated rats led to an increase in the levels of lipid peroxidation,SOD,catalase,glutathione-S-transferase and GPx,but decreased the levels of GSH and GR.Histopathological studies on DMH treated rats revealed dysplasia of the colonic histoarchitecture,which showed signs of improvement following selenium treatment.CONCLUSION:The study suggests the antioxidative potential of selenium is a major factor in providing protection from development of experimentally induced colon carcinogenesis. | Fereshteh Ezzati Ghadi Abdollah Ramzani Ghara Shalmoli Bhattacharyya Devinder Kumar Dhawan | 2009 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology2009，1，1： | 1 |

| 6 | Bonding and Reactivity in RB-AsR Systems (R = H, F, OH, CH3, CMe3, CF3, SiF3, BO): Substituent Effects显示文摘Density functional theory-based calculations have been carried out to study the bonding and reactivity in RB-As R(R=H,F,OH,CH3,CMe_3,CF_3,SiF_3,BO)systems.Our calculations demonstrated that all the studied systems adopted bent geometry(DR-B-As≈180°andDB-As-R≈90°or less).The reason for this bending was explained with the help of a valence-orbital model.The potential energy surfaces for three possible isomers of RB-As R systems were also generated,indicating that the RB-As R isomer was more stable than R_2B-As R when R=SiF_3,CMe_3,and H.The B-As bond character was analyzed using natural bond orbital(NBO)and Wiberg bond index(WBI)calculations.The WBI values for B-As bonds in F3Si B-As SiF_3 and HB-As H were 2.254 and 2.209,respectively,indicating that this bond has some triple-bond character in these systems.While the B centers prefer nucleophilic attack,the As centers prefer electrophilic attack. | GHARA Manas CHATTARAJ Pratim K. | 2018 | 物理化学学报2018，34，2： | 1 |
