| 1 | Mismatch repair genes (hMLH1, hPMS1, hPMS2, GTBP/hMSH6,HMSH2) in the pathogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘AIM: DNA misrnatch repair (MMR) is an impotent mechanism for maintaining fidelity of genomic DNA. Abnormalities in one or more MMR genes are implicated in the development of many cancers. We investigated the role of expression of MMR genes (hMLH1, hPMS1, hPMS2, GTBP/hMSH6, hMSH2) in hepatocellular carcinogenesis. METHODS: We evaluated the expression level of MMR genes in 33 hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cases using the multiplex reverse transcription (RT) PCR assays, as well as in 16 cases of normal adjacent hepatic tissues. Β-actin gene was used as an internal control and calibrator for quantification of gene expression. RESULTS: Out of the 33 studied cases, 25 were HCV positiveand 30 (90.9%) showed reduced expression in one or more of the studied MMR genes. Reduced expression was found in hMSH2 (71.9%), hMLH1 (53.3%), GTBP (51.1%), hPMS2 (33.3%) and hPMS1 (6%). A significant correlation was found between reduced expression of hPMS2(P= 0.0069) and GTBP(P= 0.0034), hPMS2and non-cirrhosis (P= 0.0197),hMLH1 and high grade. On the other hand, 57.1%, 50%, 20%, 18.8%, and 6% of the normal tissues distant to tumors showed reduced expression of hMSH2, hMLH1, GTBP, hPMS2, and hPMS1 respectively. Multivariate analysis revealed a significant correlation between the expression level of hMSH2(P= 0.008), hMLH1 (P= 0.001) and GTBP (P = 0.032)and HCC, between hPMS2, GTBP and HCVassociated HCC (P<0.001, 0.002).CONCLUSION: Reduced expression of MMR genes seemsto play an important role in HCV-associated HCC. hPMS2 islikely involved at an early stage of hepatocarcinogenesis since it was detected in normal adjacent tissues. Reduced expression of hPMS2 provides a growth advantage and stimulates proliferation which encourages malignant transformation in non-cirrhotic HCV-infected patients via acquisition of more genetic damages. | Abdel-Rahman N. | 2 | Stochastic Dynamic Economic Dispatch of Wind-integrated Electricity and Natural Gas Systems Considering Security Risk Constraints显示文摘As the proportion of wind power generation increases in power systems,it is necessary to develop new ways for wind power accommodation and improve the existing power dispatch model.The power-to-gas technology,which offers a new approach to accommodate surplus wind power,is an excellent way to solve the former.Hence,this paper proposes to involve power-to-gas technology in the integrated electricity and natural gas systems(IEGSs).To solve the latter,on one hand,a new indicator,the scale factor of wind power integration,is introduced into the wind power stochastic model to better describe the uncertainty of grid-connected wind power;on the other hand,for quantizing and minimizing the impact of the uncertainties of wind power and system loads on system security,security risk constraints are established for the IEGS by the conditional value-at-risk method.By considering these two aspects,an MILP formulation of a security-risk based stochastic dynamic economic dispatch model for an IEGS is established,and GUROBI obtained from GAMS is used for the solution.Case studies are conducted on an IEGS consisting of a modified IEEE 39-bus system and the Belgium 20-node natural gas system to examine the effectiveness of the proposed dispatch model. | Zexing Chen Gelan Zhu Yongjun Zhang Tianyao Ji Ziwen Liu Xiaoming Lin Zexiang Cai | 2019 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2019，5，3： | 8 |
| 3 | Possible causes of the variation in fractal dimension of the perimeter during the tropical cyclone Dan motion显示文摘We calculated the fractal dimensions Db of the perimeter of tropical cyclone(TC)Dan based on the satellite GMS-5 infrared sensor images from 1800 UTC,1 October 1999 to 1200 UTC,9 October 1999.The fractal dimensions Db were used to characterize objectively the temporal change of TC complex structure.Our results show that the change of fractal dimension during TC Dan motion can be divided into three stages.The statistically significant difference does not exist either between Dm1 and DL or between Dm3 and DL,but it exists between Dm2 and DL,where Dmi denotes the mean value of Db in i-th stage(i=1,2 and3);DL denotes Lovejoy’s fractal dimension calculated based on satellite and radar data within the size range(1–1.2×106 km2),which is used as a'normal value'of the fractal dimension of the cumulus cloud perimeter for the global tropical region.TC Dan turns to the north from the west abruptly at the end of the second stage.The emergence of the second stage with high fractal dimensions may be viewed as a possible premonition for the track turning.Our results also show that there are two kinds of processes resulting in the translation from the first stage to the second stage.One is the interaction of TC circulation and an adjacent small scale convective cloud cluster,causing to the complexity increase of a local segment of the perimeter.The other includes the fragmentation of a strong convective area within the TC inner region,the self-organization of the small strong convective cloud clusters,the emergence,development,and merger of the small scale non-convective holes,and the formation of a gap of the perimeter,causing to the complexity increase of the whole TC perimeter. | LUO ZheXian WANG Ying MA GeLan YU Hui WANG XinWei SAO LiFang LI DongHong | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014，57，6： | 2 |
