| 1 | Heat Transfer and Resistance Characteristics of Conical Spiral Tube Bundle Based on Field Synergy Principle显示文摘Conical spiral tube bundle are universally used in heat transfer enhancement in heat exchangers.The heat transfer and resistance of the tube bundle are affected greatly by the conical structure,so the analysis of it is necessary.In order to a further evaluation,the heat transfer and resistance characteristics of conical spiral tube bundle are investigated with regression analysis based on numerical simulation data.The correlations of heat transfer and pressure drop of conical spiral tube bundle are proposed both in laminar and turbulent fluid flow.On the based of the field synergy principle,the synergy of four vectors,the velocity,the velocity gradient,the temperature gradient and the pressure gradient,are calculated and discussed via the user defined function(UDF) program.The synergy angles β and θ,which respectively denote the performance of heat transfer enhancement and pressure drop of the conical spiral tube bundle,are analyzed.Finally,the comprehensive performance of the conical spiral tube is evaluated by the synergy angle γ and all of the three synergy angles of conical spiral tube bundle are compared to both bare tube and thin cylinder-interpolated tube.The analysis of the synergy angles shows that the heat transfer enhancement and pressure drop of conical spiral tube bundle are smaller than that of the thin cylinder-interpolated tube,while the comprehensive performance of conical spiral tube bundle is greater.The analysis of the heat transfer and pressure drop of conical spiral tube is valuable and instructional on the design and optimum of conical spiral tube bundle heat exchangers. | YAN Ke GE Peiqi HU Ruirong MENG Haitao | 2012 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,2: | 9 |

| 12 | General Model to Predict Power Flow Transmitted into Laminated Beam Bases in Flexible Isolation Systems显示文摘For estimating the vibration transmission accurately and performing vibration control efficiently in isolation systems, a novel general model is presented to predict the power flow transmitted into the complicate flexible bases of laminated beams. In the model, the laminated beam bases are simulated by the first-order shear deformation laminated plate theory, which is relatively simple and economic but accurate in predicting the vibration solutions of flexible isolation systems with laminated beam bases in comparison with classical laminated beam theories and higher order theories. On the basis of the presented model, substructure technique and variational principle are employed to obtain the governing equation of the isolation system and the power flow solution. Then, the vibration characteristics of the flexible isolation systems with laminated bases are investigated. Several numerical examples are given to show the validity and efficiency of the presented model. | 14 | New dating indicates intermittent human occupation of the Nwya Devu Paleolithic site on the high-altitude central Tibetan Plateau during the past 45,000 years显示文摘The timing and mechanisms of the human occupation of the demanding high-altitude Tibetan Plateau environment are of great interest.Here,we report on our reinvestigations and dating of the Nwya Devu site,located nearly 4600 meters above sea level on the central Tibetan Plateau.A new microblade techno-complex was identified on a lower lake shore at this site,distinct from the previously reported blade tool assemblage.These two lithic assemblages were dated to 45.6±2.6 and10.3±0.5 ka using optically stimulated luminescence and accelerator mass spectrometry^(14)C methods.They represent,respectively,the earliest known Paleolithic and microlithic sites on the interior Tibetan Plateau,indicating multiple occupation episodes of hunter-gatherers during the past 45 ka.Our studies reveal that relatively stable depositional conditions and a paleoenvironment characterized by a comparatively warm climate facilitated these multiple occupations at Nwya Devu.The contemporaneous occurrence of the Upper Paleolithic blade technology on the Tibetan Plateau and most of Eurasia between 50 and 40 ka indicates rapid,large-scale dispersals of humans that profoundly affected human demography on a large scale.Combining new archaeological evidence and previously reported genetic data,we conclude that the Tibetan Plateau provided a relatively stable habitat for Upper Paleolithic hunter-gatherers,which may have contributed to the complex and multiple-origin gene pool of present-day Tibetans. | Junyi GE Xiaoling ZHANG Shejiang WANG Linhui LI Wei HE Yingshuai JIN Peiqi ZhANG Bing XU Chenglong DENG John WOLSEN Zhengtang GUO Xing GAO | 2024 | Science China Earth Sciences2024,67,2: | 0 |
| 15 | Natural variation of GmFATA1B regulates seed oil content and composition in soybean显示文摘Soybean(Glycine max) produces seeds that are rich in unsaturated fatty acids and is an important oilseed crop worldwide. Seed oil content and composition largely determine the economic value of soybean. Due to natural genetic variation, seed oil content varies substantially across soybean cultivars. Although much progress has been made in elucidating the genetic trajectory underlying fatty acid metabolism and oil biosynthesis in plants, the causal genes for many quantitative trait loci(QTLs) regulating seed oil content in soybean remain to be revealed. In this study, we identified Gm FATA1B as the gene underlying a QTL that regulates seed oil content and composition, as well as seed size in soybean. Nine extra amino acids in the conserved region of Gm FATA1B impair its function as a fatty acyl–acyl carrier protein thioesterase, thereby affecting seed oil content and composition. Heterogeneously overexpressing the functional Gm FATA1B allele in Arabidopsis thaliana increased both the total oil content and the oleic acid and linoleic acid contents of seeds.
