| 1 | Passive Behavior of Ultra-Fine-Grained 1050 Aluminum Alloy Produced by Accumulative Roll Bonding in a Borate Buffer Solution显示文摘In this study, the effect of the ARB process on the passive behavior of ultra-fine-grained 1050 aluminum alloy in a borate buffer solution(p H 6.0) has been investigated. The result of the microhardness tests revealed that the microhardness values increase with an increasing number of ARB cycles. The potentiodynamic polarization plots revealed that the higher number of cycles for the specimens proceeds with the ARB process rather than annealing yield to lower corrosion and passive current densities and more noble corrosion potential values. | 2 | The power of microsatellite markers and AFLPs in revealing the genetic diversity of Hashemi aromatic rice from Iran显示文摘Hashemi, a popular aromatic rice among Iranians, is famous for its fragrance and taste. Such features are major reasons for its higher price compared to non-aromatic varieties available in Iran. Therefore, the knowledge of genetic diversity of this profitable crop is a fundamental ineterst for plant breeders in future breeding programs. In the present research, genetic diversity among 35 genotypes of Hashemi aromatic rice(Oryza sativa L.) from Guilan and Mazandaran provinces of Iran was estimated using simple sequence repeat(SSR) and amplified fragment length polymorphism(AFLP) markers. Out of 21 SSR and 12 Eco RI-Mse I AFLP marker combinations, only 16 SSRs and 10 AFLPs exhibited polymorphic patterns while others were monomorphic. The 10 AFLP primer combinations produced a total of 142 of bands and 20 were polymorphic(14.08%). Moreover, 40 out of 47 bands amplified with 16 SSR markers showed polymorphism(85.1%). The average number of alleles identified by SSR primers was 2.56 alleles per locus with a range of 2 to 4. The average value of polymorphic information content(PIC) was 0.393 and 0.468 for AFLP and SSR markers, respectively. However, the genetic similarity values ranged from 0.26 to 1 for SSRs and 0.21 to 1 for AFLPs. Later, a unweighted pair group method with arithmetic mean(UPGMA) dendrogram was generated and genotypes were clustered into four groups with SSRs at similarity coefficient of 0.55 while AFLPs clustered them into six groups at similarity coefficient of 0.41. | 5 | Electrochemical Behavior of Passive Films Formed on the Surface of Coarse-,Fine-and Ultra-fine-Grained AA1050 Based on a Modified PDM显示文摘Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) and Mott-Schottky analysis were carried out to evaluate the electrochemical behavior of the passive films formed on the surface of coarse-grained(CG),fine-grained(FG) and ultrafine-grained(UFG) 1050 Al alloy(AA1050) samples in alkaline media(pH value of 8.0) based on a modification of point defect model(PDM).The EIS results revealed that the polarization resistance increased from about 22.71-120.33 kΩ cm^2for UFG sample when compared to CG sample(annealed sample).The semiconductor properties of the passive films formed on CG,FG and UFG AA1050 samples in the test solution were investigated by employing Mott-Schottky analysis in conjunction with PDM.The results indicated that donor densities were in the range of 2.19 × 10^(21)-0.61 × 10^(21) cm^(-3)and decreased with grain refinement.Finally,all electrochemical tests showed that the electrochemical behavior of AA1050 alloy was improved by decreasing the grain size,mainly due to the formation of thicker and less defective oxide films. | Seyed Omid Gashti Arash Fattah-alhosseini Yousef Mazaheri | 2016 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2016，29，7： | 1 |
