1Study on roughness coefficient for unsubmerged reed in the Changjiang Estuary显示文摘The influence of density,foliage and stem flexibility on the roughness coefficients under unsubmerged conditions,such as Manning's n,is investigated experimentally.An instrumentation system has been developed for measuring the flow rate ranging from 0.1 to 0.3 L/s under the condition of different artificial foliated reeds.Based on the experimental results,the influence on the relationship between n with different density,foliage,flexibility and flow depth is discussed.It is found that the foliage and the density are the important factors affecting Manning's n.At a range of relatively low velocity and relatively large bending stiffness of stem,Manning's n is not influenced significanthy by the flexibility of stem.GU Fengfeng MU Lin QI Dingman LI Junhua KONG Lingshuang WAN Yuanyang 2011Acta Oceanologica Sinica2011,30,5:5
2In situ forming oxygen/ROS-responsive niche-like hydrogel enabling gelation-triggered chemotherapy and inhibition of metastasis显示文摘Though the development of the diverse hypoxia-activated prodrugs(HAPs)has made great progresses in the last several decades,current cancer therapy based on HAPs still suffers many obstacles,e.g.,poor therapeutic outcome owing to hard deep reaching to hypoxic region,and the occurrence of metastasis due to hypoxia.Inspired by engineered niches,a novel functional chitosan polymer(CS-FTP)is synthesized for construction of a hydrogel-based bio-niche(CS-FTP-gel)in aiming at remodeling tumor hypoxic microenvironment.The CS-FTP polymers are crosslinked to form a niche-like hydrogel via enzyme-mediated oxygen-consumable dimerization after injected into tumor,in which a HAP(i.e.,AQ4N)could be physically encapsulated,resulting in enhanced tumor hypoxia to facilitate AQ4N-AQ4 toxic transformation for maximizing efficacy of chemotherapy.Furthermore,Pazopanib(PAZ)conjugated onto the CS backbone via ROS-sensitive linker undergoes a stimuli-responsive release behavior to promote antiangiogenesis for tumor starvation,eventually contributing to the inhibition of lung metastasis and synergistic action with AQ4N-based chemotherapy for an orthotopic 4T1 breast tumor model.This study provides a promising strategy for hypoxia-based chemotherapy and demonstrates an encouraging clinical potential for multifunctional hydrogel applicable for antitumor treatment.Shi-Xiong Chen Ji Zhang Fengfeng Xue Wei Liu Yichen Kuang Bingxin Gu Shaoli Song Hangrong Chen 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,3:0

4Comparison of Biomechanical Characteristics during the Second Landing Phase in Female Latin Dancers:Evaluation of the Bounce and Side Chasse Step显示文摘Research on dance lower extremity joint motion has been limited.Thus,the purpose of this study was to investigate the lower limb biomechanics differences between the side chasse step(SCS)and the bounce step(BS)of the second landing phase in Jive.Thirteen female recreational Latin dancers(Age:22±2.5 years;Height:1.65±0.05 m;Weight:50±4.5 kg;Dance experience:4±2 years)were involved in the experiment.The same music was used throughout the data collection period.We intended to determine whether these two steps generate different kinematic and kinetic data.The ankle,hip,and knee joint angle,moment,velocity,and ground reaction force were calculated for each step.Results demonstrated that the lower limb biomechanics of the two different steps showed significant differences.As a result,strengthening the lower limb muscles(gastrocnemius,Tibialis muscle,and quadriceps)is significantly important to balance the joint strength and prevent foot injury.According to the training time reasonably increasing the heel height should be recognized as important.The current study could provide new insights into reducing lower extremity injuries and improving dance performance.Fengfeng Li Huiyu Zhou Datao Xu Julien S.Baker Yaodong Gu 2022Molecular & Cellular Biomechanics2022,19,3:0
