| 3 | Ultrasmall CoS nanoparticles embedded in heteroatom-doped carbon for sodium-ion batteries and mechanism explorations via synchrotron X-ray techniques显示文摘Transition metal sulfides have been regarded as promising anode materials for sodium-ion batteries(SIB).However,they face the challenges of poor electronic conductivity and large volume change,which result in capacity fade and low rate capability.In this work,a composite containing ultrasmall CoS(~7 nm)nanoparticles embedded in heteroatom(N,S,and O)-doped carbon was synthesized by an efficient one-step sulfidation process using a Co(Salen)precursor.The ultrasmall CoS nanoparticles are beneficial for mechanical stability and shortening Na-ions diffusion pathways.Furthermore,the N,S,and O-doped defect-rich carbon provides a robust and highly conductive framework enriched with active sites for sodium storage as well as mitigates volume expansion and polysulfide shuttle.As anode for SIB,CoS@HDC exhibits a high initial capacity of 906 mA h g^(-1)at 100 mA g^(-1)and a stable long-term cycling life with over 1000 cycles at 500 mA g^(-1),showing a reversible capacity of 330 mA h g^(-1).Meanwhile,the CoS@HDC anode is proven to maintain its structural integrity and compositional reversibility during cycling.Furthermore,Na-ion full batteries based on the CoS@HDC anode and Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)cathode demonstrate a stable cycling behavior with a reversible specific capacity of~200 m A h g^(-1)at least for 100 cycles.Moreover,advanced synchrotron operando X-ray diffraction,ex-situ X-ray absorption spectroscopy,and comprehensive electrochemical tests reveal the structural transformation and the Co coordination chemistry evolution of the CoS@HDC during cycling,providing fundamental insights into the sodium storage mechanism. | Congcong Liu Qiongqiong Lu Mikhail V.Gorbunov Ahmad Omar Ignacio G.Gonzalez Martinez Panpan Zhao Martin Hantusch Antonius Dimas Chandra Permana Huanyu He Nikolai Gaponik Daria Mikhailova | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,4: | 0 |
| 4 | Tuning interfacial interactions for bottom-up assembly of surface-anchored metal-organic frameworks to tailor film morphology and pattern surface features显示文摘Surface-anchored metal-organic frameworks(surMOFs)integrate nanoporous supramolecular MOF materials directly into architectures for applications such as gas storage,chemical sensing,and energy storage.Layer-by-layer solution-phase deposition of the MOF-14 components(1,3,5-tris(4-carboxyphenyl)benzene and copper(II)dimers,respectively)produces a porous and conformal film on carboxylterminated self-assembled monolayers(SAMs).In this research,the formation of ultrathin(less than 25 nm)surMOF films on codeposited bicomponent SAMs and microcontact printed SAMs is investigated by atomic force microscopy,ellipsometry,infrared spectroscopy,and contact angle goniometry.SAMs composed of methyl-terminated alkanethiols assembled on gold substrates inhibit surMOF formation,whereas carboxyl-terminated alkanethiols promote MOF-14-based film growth.To tune the density of carboxyl groups that anchor the film,methyl-and carboxylterminated alkanethiols of varying concentrations are codeposited on gold.This systematic study demonstrates how surMOF film formation and morphology are impacted by these SAMs with mixed surface functionalities.Chemical patterning methods for SAMs,such as microcontact printing(μCP),commonly have mixed chemical functionalities within certain regions of the pattern.Insights gained regarding how mixed surface functionalities affect surMOF film formation are applied herein to optimize theμCP method to produce chemically patterned SAMs that selectively direct surMOF assembly to produce high-quality surMOF film features. | Christine D.Fasana Fabiola G.Gonzalez Jonathan W.Wade Ashley M.Weeks B.Dulani Dhanapala Mary E.Anderson | 2022 | Aggregate2022,3,4: | 0 |
| 5 | Hardness-Lattice Parameter Correlation for Aged Al-Zn-Mg Alloys显示文摘Two ternary Al-2.2Zn-0.95Mg and Al-5.5Zn-2.1Mg(in wt pct) alloys,with Zn:Mg ratios close to 2.5 were produced by conventional ingot casting metallurgy.The ingots were solution heat treated at 500℃ for 0.5 h and aged at 180℃ for times between 0.5 and 80 h.The structural characterization was carried out by X-ray diffraction(XRD),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),selected area electron diffraction(SAED) and Vickers microhardness measurements(HV).The study was focused on the investigation of the precipitates formation and the relationship between hardness and lattice parameter for α-Al.The results showed that there was an inverse correlation for all the experimental conditions,and the aged peaks coincided with lattice parameter minima.Significant precipitates formation only occurred for the alloy containing 5.5 wt pct Zn and 2.1 wt pct Mg,provoking an important strengthening and variations in the lattice parameter,however,this was not observed for the alloy containing 2.2 wt pct Zn and 0.95 wt pct Mg.A plausible explanation of the increment of hardness values could be the presence of a well distributed η phase(MgZn2).At initial stages of the precipitation process,η was the most abundant precipitate while the phase τ was observed at overaged conditions.These results showed that the aging response of the conventionally cast Al-Zn-Mg alloys could be obtained using the lattice parameter of the α-Al matrix,even for alloy systems with low precipitates formation. | P.Fernandez G.Gonzalez I.Alfonso I.A.Figueroa | 2010 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2010,26,12: | 0 |
