1Transcriptional activation and phosphorylation of OsCNGC9 confer enhanced chilling tolerance in rice显示文摘Low temperature is a major environmental factor that limits plant growth and productivity.Although transient elevation of cytoplasmic calcium has long been recognized as a critical signal for plant cold tolerance,the calcium channels responsible for this process have remained largely elusive.Here we report that OsCNGC9,a cyclic nucleotide-gated channel,positively regulates chilling tolerance by mediating cytoplasmic calcium elevation in rice(Oryza sativa).We showed that the loss-of-function mutant of OsCNGC9 is defective in cold-induced calcium influx and more sensitive to prolonged cold treatment,whereas OsCNGC9 overexpression confers enhanced cold tolerance.Mechanistically,we demonstrated that in response to chilling stress,OsSAPK8,a homolog of Arabidopsis thaliana OST1,phosphorylates and activates OsCNGC9 to trigger Ca2+influx.Moreover,we found that the transcription of OsCNGC9 is activated by a rice dehydration-responsive element-binding transcription factor,OsDREB1A.Taken together,our results suggest that OsCNGC9 enhances chilling tolerance in rice through regulating cold-induced calcium influx and cytoplasmic calcium elevation.Jiachang Wang Yulong Ren Xi Liu Sheng Luo Xiao Zhang Xin Liu Qibing Lin Shanshan Zhu Hua Wan Yang Yang Yu Zhang Bin Lei Chunlei Zhou Tian Pan Yongfei Wang Mingming Wu Ruonan jing Yang Xu Meng Han Fuqing Wu Cailin Lei Xiuping Guo Zhijun Cheng Xiaoming Zheng Yihua Wang Zhigang Zhao Ling Jiang Xin Zhang Yong-Fei Wang Haiyang Wang Jianmin Wan 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,2:10
2Review of Chinese atmospheric science research over the past 70 years: Synoptic meteorology显示文摘Synoptic meteorology is a branch of meteorology that uses synoptic weather observations and charts for the diagnosis,study,and forecasting of weather.Weather refers to the specific state of the atmosphere near the Earth’s surface during a short period of time.The spatial distribution of meteorological elements in the atmosphere can be represented by a variety of transient weather phenomena,which are caused by weather systems of different spatial and temporal scales.Weather is closely related to people’s life,and its development and evolution have always been the focus of atmospheric scientific research and operation.The development of synoptic meteorology is closely related to the development of observation systems,dynamical theories and numerical models.In China,observation networks have been built since the early 1950 s.Up to now,a comprehensive meteorological observation systembased on ground,air and space has been established.In particular,the development of a new generation of dense radar networks,the development of the Fengyun satellite series and the implementation of a series of large field experiments have brought our understanding of weather from large-scale environment to thermal dynamics,cloud microphysical structure and evolution characteristics of meso and micro-scale weather systems.The development of observation has also promoted the development of theory,numerical model and simulation.In the early days,China mainly used foreign numerical models.Lately,China has developed numerical model systems with independent intellectual property rights.Based on the results of high-resolution numerical simulations,in-depth understanding of the initiation and evolution mechanism and predictability of weather at different scales has been obtained.Synoptic meteorology has gradually changed from an initially independent development to a multidisciplinary approach,and the interaction between weather and the change of climate and environment has become a hot and frontier topic in atmospheric science.This paper reviews the important scientific and technological achievements made in China over the past 70 years in the fields of synoptic meteorology based on the literatures in China and abroad,from six aspects respectively including atmospheric dynamics,synoptic-scale weather,typhoon and tropical weather,severe convective weather,numerical weather prediction and data assimilation,weather and climate,atmospheric physics and atmospheric environment.Zhiyong MENG Fuqing ZHANG Dehai LUO Zhemin TAN Juan FANG Jianhua SUN Xueshun SHEN Yunji ZHANG Shuguang WANG Wei HAN Kun ZHAO Lei ZHU Yongyun HU Huiwen XUE Yaping MA Lijuan ZHANG Ji NIE Ruilin ZHOU Sa LI Hongjun LIU Yuning ZHU 2019Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,12:7

5A Novel Cooperative Multi-Stage Hyper-Heuristic for Combination Optimization Problems显示文摘A hyper-heuristic algorithm is a general solution framework that adaptively selects the optimizer to address complex problems.A classical hyper-heuristic framework consists of two levels,including the high-level heuristic and a set of low-level heuristics.The low-level heuristics to be used in the optimization process are chosen by the high-level tactics in the hyper-heuristic.In this study,a Cooperative Multi-Stage Hyper-Heuristic(CMS-HH)algorithm is proposed to address certain combinatorial optimization problems.In the CMS-HH,a genetic algorithm is introduced to perturb the initial solution to increase the diversity of the solution.In the search phase,an online learning mechanism based on the multi-armed bandits and relay hybridization technology are proposed to improve the quality of the solution.In addition,a multi-point search is introduced to cooperatively search with a single-point search when the state of the solution does not change in continuous time.The performance of the CMS-HH algorithm is assessed in six specific combinatorial optimization problems,including Boolean satisfiability problems,one-dimensional packing problems,permutation flow-shop scheduling problems,personnel scheduling problems,traveling salesman problems,and vehicle routing problems.The experimental results demonstrate the efficiency and significance of the proposed CMS-HH algorithm.Fuqing Zhao Shilu Di Jie Cao Jianxin Tang Jonrinaldi 2021Complex System Modeling and Simulation2021,1,2:3

16Fracture Mechanism of the Formation with a Natural Flaw Under a Single-Tooth Cutting显示文摘The process of a single-tooth cutting formation is taken as the representative to analyze the fracture mechanism of the formation with natural flaws under the PDC drill bit.The modeling of the stress field distribution of the formation under a single tooth is proposed first.Subsequently,the modeling of the stress intensity factor K,T-stress and the initiation angleθof the flaw under two far-field compressive loads in two cases are presented based on the mode-II fracture.Finally,the results of theoretical calculations and simulations are given and discussed.Based on the analysis undertaken,it can be concluded that the confinement ratioλapplying on the flaw changes nonlinearly with the variation inα+φ.The relationship between the dimensionless ratioβx/βy of T-stress and the rotational polar angleφis a parabola with an upward opening.When the direction of the cutting force is consistent with the flaw,the stress intensity factor K and the initiation angleθat the tip of the flaw reach the maximum.In addition,the angle between the cutting force and the flaw weakens the T-stress and inhibits the crack initiation and propagation of the flaw.The results of numerical simulations show good agreement with theoretical calculations.Siqi Li Wei Li Tie Yan Fuqing Bi Huan Zhao Xin Ling 2020Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2020,33,5:0
