| 1 | Advances in environmental behaviors and effects of dissolved organic matter in aquatic ecosystems显示文摘Dissolved organic matter(DOM) is a group of compounds that have complex chemical structures and multiple interactions with their surrounding materials. More than one trillion tons of DOM are stocked in the world's aquatic ecosystems. DOM is a very important part of aquatic ecosystem productivity and plays a crucial role in global carbon cycling. DOM has rich environmental behaviors and effects such as influencing the bioavailability of contaminants, serving as an important inducer of reactive oxygen species(ROS), and protecting aquatic organisms from the harm of dangerous ultraviolet radiation. There have been many systematic studies on the composition, structure, and sources of DOM because such studies are much easier to conduct than studies on the environmental behaviors and effects of DOM. Due to many factors, the research systems of DOM's environmental behaviors and effects are still being developed and have become a hotspot of environmental science. This review paper focuses on some critical progress, problems, and trends of DOM's environmental behaviors and effects in aquatic ecosystems, including mutual exchange mechanisms between DOM and particulate organic matter(POM) with influencing factors, photochemical behaviors of DOM especially inducing ROS, binding interactions between DOM and anthropogenic organic contaminants(AOC), interactions between DOM and microorganisms, effects of DOM on pollutants' bioavailability, ecotoxicity, and ecological risks. | 2 | A review on perfluoroalkyl acids studies:Environmental behaviors,toxic effects,and ecological and health risks显示文摘Perfluoroalkyl acids(PFAAs)are emerging persistent organic pollutants that are globally distributed in the environment.In the present review,the occurrence of PFAAs and their behavior in aquatic ecosystem were summarized,and the health and ecological risk assessment and the multimedia fate simulation were investigated.PFAAs are most likely to exist in the aqueous phase,and PFAAs in atmosphere are also able to enter water bodies through diffusion and wet and dry deposition and eventually become widely distributed in various environmental media.The air-solid partition is considered to be one of the major factors in the long-distance transportation of the pollutants.The pKa values and organic carbon fraction of the sediment could influence the partition of PFAAs between water and sediment.Otherwise,PFAAs have teratogenic,mutagenic and other toxic effects and they could be accumulated by biota,and magnified through trophic level.The ecological and health risks of PFOA and PFOS were assessment.In order to explore the partition mechanism and reduce the uncertainty of the simulation of the transport,transformation and fate,the experimental methods on physicochemical properties of PFAAs should be developed.Moreover,further studies on toxicities of PFAAs are necessary for health and ecological risk assessment. | Wenxiu Liu Jingyi Wu Wei He Fuliu Xu | 2019 | Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2019,5,1: | 3 |
| 3 | Effects of five heavy metals at sub-lethal concentrations on the growth and photosynthesis of Chlorella vulgaris显示文摘The impact of sub-lethal concentrations(0.05,0.5,5 μmol L 1) of the heavy metals copper(Cu),chromium(Cr),zinc(Zn),cadmium(Cd) and lead(Pb) on the growth and photosynthesis of Chlorella vulgaris was studied during 96 h exposure experiments.The results showed that the effects of these five metals on the growth of Chlorella vulgaris were dependent on both concentration and exposure time.It was found that 5 μmol L 1 treatments of Cu,Cr,Zn,Cd and Pb significantly inhibited the growth of Chlorella vulgaris,and the effect became weaker with an increase in exposure duration.Different effects on chlorophyll fluorescence were found for different metals,with Cu and Cr having an inhibiting effect and Zn and Cd having a promoting effect.The effects of heavy metals upon the growth and photosynthesis of Chlorella vulgaris were independent of each other and not causally related. | OUYANG HuiLing KONG XiangZhen HE Wei QIN Ning HE QiShuang WANG Yan WANG Rong XU FuLiu | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,25: | 2 |
