1Massage treatment of chronic persistent pediatric asthma显示文摘Objective:We observed the clinical effect of massage in treating chronic persistent pediatric asthma and the changes in expression of TLR1,TLR2,and TLR4 on macrophages.Methods:One hundred sixty pediatric patients with persistent chronic asthma were col-lected,and divided into treatment and control groups of 80 each in strict accordance with the principle of random allocation.The patients in the control group received general nebulizer therapy,and the patients in the treatment group received infantile massage.Both groups of patients were observed for 3 months with respect to the following indicators:the frequency of asthmatic attacks;the frequency of respiratory tract infections(RTIs);C-ACT rating;and the PEF%of peripheral blood(PB)before and after treatment to detect macrophage TLR1,TLR2,and TLR4.Results:After treatment,the frequency of asthmatic attacks,frequency of RTIs,C-ACT rat-ing,and the PEF%and macrophage TLR1,TLR2,and TLR4 expression of fluorescence intensity in the treatment group showed a statistically significant increase when compared with the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Pediatric massage can improve the clinical symptoms of pediatric asthma by up-regulating the expression of macrophage TLR1,TLR2,and TLR4.Fuling Tian Qi Li Jianmei Cui Shuxiang Ma Hongbin Wang Xueqing Li 2014Family Medicine and Community Health2014,2,2:2
2RNA m^(6) A modification: Mapping methods, roles, and mechanisms in acute myeloid leukemia显示文摘N^(6)-Methyladenosine(m^(6)A)is the most abundant modification in eukaryotic mRNA,and plays important biological functions via regulating RNA fate determination.Recent studies have shown that m^(6)A modification plays a key role in hematologic malignancies,including acute myeloid leukemia.The current growth of epitranscriptomic research mainly benefits from technological progress in detecting RNA m^(6)A modification in a transcriptome-wide manner.In this review,we first briefly summarize the latest advances in RNA m^(6)A biology by focusing on writers,readers,and erasers of m^(6)A modification,and describe the development of high-throughput methods for RNA m^(6)A mapping.We further discuss the important roles of m^(6)A modifiers in acute myeloid leukemia,and highlight the identification of potential inhibitors for AML treatment by targeting of m^(6)A modifiers.Overall,this review provides a comprehensive summary of RNA m^(6)A biology in acute myeloid leukemia.Rong Yin Yashu Li Wen Tian Fuling Zhou Haojian Zhang 2022Blood Science2022,4,3:0
3Anti-cancer activity of Tonglian decoction against esophageal cancer cell proliferation through regulation of the cell cycle and PI3K/Akt signaling pathway显示文摘Objective:The purpose of this study was to observe the anti-cancer activity of Tonglian decoction(TD)on esophageal cancer(EC)cells in vitro,and to elucidate the related molecular mechanisms in the cell cycle and PI3K/Akt signaling pathway.Methods:EC9706 cells were cultured in RPMI 1640 medium supplemented with 10%calf serum at 37C in a 5%CO2 incubator.The cells were treated with rat serum containing TD or the serum of rats administered Xiaoaiping as a positive control drug.Cell proliferation was assessed by methylthiazolyldiphenyl-tetrazolium bromide assays.Cell morphology was observed under a microscope.The cell cycle was examined by flow cytometry.Protein expression in the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway was measured by western blotting.Results:TD mainly inhibited cell proliferation.Concentrations of 50%cell inhibition by rat serum containing TD or Xiaoaiping were 73.6 and 153.8 mL/mL,respectively.TD also influenced cell morphology characterized by small shrunken cells.Cell colonies became small and the cell proliferation rate was slower.In cell cycle analysis,the percentage of cells in S phase was decreased significantly by TD and Xiaoaiping compared with the blank control group(P<.05).Western blotting showed that serum containing TD strongly downregulated EGFR,PI3K,Akt,p-Akt,and mTOR expression compared with the blank control group(P<.05).Conclusion:TD could inhibit EC9706 carcinoma cell proliferation by blocking the cell cycle progression in S phase.The possible mechanism was inhibition of multiple targets in the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway by TD.Yongsen Jia Lijuan Qin Chunhua Jiang Qing Lin Fuling Tian Huijuan Cao Xin Yan 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2015,2,2:0
