12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 2Water Cooperation Priorities in the Lancang-Mekong River Basin Based on Cooperative Events Since the Mekong River Commission Establishment显示文摘The Lancang-Mekong River has attracted much attention from researchers, but the cooperation on water issues in this river basin has been limited, even after the establishment of the Mekong River Commission(MRC). Cooperation on water resources has been determined as one of the key priority areas in the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Mechanism, but there are no details of targets. In order to establish the priorities of water cooperation under the mechanism, we adopted nine categories to classify the objectives of 87 water cooperation events based on the ‘Lancang-Mekong Water Cooperative Events Database' from 1995 to 2015. Based on the occurrence of cooperative events, cooperative objectives, cooperative scales, and approaches to cooperation, we conducted statistical, correlation, and text analyses. Our analyses indicated the following results: under the impact of economic conditions inside and outside the river basin, full cooperation appeared more difficult than bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Each of the partners adopted different preferences for cooperation targets. Cooperation with more definite objectives was easier to establish than cooperation with broader and more complex objectives. The potential objectives for water cooperation were navigation, hydropower, joint management, data sharing, flood control and water use. Because hydropower development is controversial, and because water cooperation is avoided by most existing regional cooperation mechanisms due to its complexity, we suggest the following priority areas for water cooperation in the Lancang-Mekong River Basin. 1) Navigation and flood control/drought relief are attractive objectives for all the riparian countries across the whole watershed. 2) Data sharing should be a priority for cooperation in the watershed due to its laying the foundation for the equitable and reasonable utilization of transboundary waters. 3) Hydropower is an objective best implemented mainly through bilateral cooperation, and on tributaries.FENG Yan WANG Wenling SUMAN Daniel YU Shiwei HE Daming 2019Chinese Geographical Science2019,29,1:8
3Effect of Yang-activating and stasis-eliminating decoction from Traditional Chinese Medicine on intestinal mucosal permeability in rats with ulcerative colitis induced by dextran sulfate sodium显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effect of decoction prepared with Yang-activating and stasis-eliminating medicinals from Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) on the intestinal mucosal permeability in rats with ulcerative colitis induced by dextran sulfate sodium(DSS).METHODS: Totally 55 male Wistar rats(body weight of 170-190 g) were randomly divided into the blank group(n = 10) and the model duplication group(n = 45). The blank group was not intervened, while the other was modeled with 5% dextran sulfate sodium by gavaging in a dosage of4 m L per day to induce ulcerative colitis, a total of7 days. Then, the model rats were divided into model blank group, mesalazine group and TCM group,and each group was consisted of 15 rats. They were given retention enema 10 min with normal saline,mesalazine enema(0.036 g/m L), and Yang-activating and stasis-eliminating decoction [0.54 g/m L of a decoction boiled by Puhuang(Pollen Typhae), Xiebai(Bulbus Allii Macrostemonis) and Wulingzhi(Faeces Trogopteri)] for 10 days respectively. Afterwards,all of the rats were evaluated by disease activity index(DAI), histological changes of distal colon, expression of occludin protein and ultrastructure of intestinal epithelial cells. Furthermore, ratio of lactulose to mannitol(L/M) discharged in urine was evaluated.RESULTS: Comparing the results between TCM and model control groups, scores of DAI and histological lesions decreased significantly(P = 0.000 <0.01), ultrastructures of intestinal epithelial cells and tight junctions were more complete. The expression of occludin protein(P = 0.001 < 0.01) increased while the L/M value decreased significantly(P = 0.000 < 0.01) in TCM group. 4A novel integrated non-targeted metabolomic analysis reveals significant metabolite variations between different lettuce (Lactuca sativa. L) varieties显示文摘Lettuce is an important leafy vegetable that represents a significant dietary source of antioxidants and bioactive compounds.However,the levels of metabolites in different lettuce cultivars are poorly characterized.In this study,we used combined GC×GC-TOF/MS and UPLC-IMS-QTOF/MS to detect and relatively quantify metabolites in 30 lettuce cultivars representing large genetic diversity.Comparison with online databases,the published literature,standards as well using collision cross-section values enabled putative identification of 171 metabolites.Sixteen of these 171 metabolites(including phenolic acid derivatives,glycosylated flavonoids,and one iridoid)were present at significantly different levels in leaf and head type lettuces,which suggested the significant metabolomic variations between the leaf and head types of lettuce are related to secondary metabolism.A combination of the results and metabolic network analysis techniques suggested that leaf and head type lettuces contain not only different levels of metabolites but also have significant variations in the corresponding associated metabolic networks.The novel lettuce metabolite library and novel non-targeted metabolomics strategy devised in this study could be used to further characterize metabolic variations between lettuce cultivars or other plants.Moreover,the findings of this study provide important insight into metabolic adaptations due to natural and human selection,which could stimulate further research to potentially improve lettuce quality,yield,and nutritional value.Xiao Yang Shiwei Wei Bin Liu Doudou Guo Bangxiao Zheng Lei Feng Yumin Liu Francisco A.Tomás-Barberán Lijun Luo Danfeng Huang 2018Horticulture Research2018,5,1:3
5Ferric oxide nanosheet-engineered Mg alloy for synergetic osteosarcoma photothermal/chemodynamic therapy显示文摘Osteosarcoma(OS)is a malignant tumor with a high rate of recurrence.Recently,biodegradable Mg-based implants have become a new therapeutic platform for bone-related diseases.However,poor biosafety and deficient intelligent tumor-killing ability of Mg-based implants are still the main challenges for the pre-cise treatment of OS.Herein,based on the excellent catalytic and photothermal conversion properties of nanozyme ferric oxide(Fe_(3)O_(4)),a novel two-step hydrothermal method for in situ preparation of Fe_(3)O_(4)nanosheets on the surface of plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO)-treated Mg alloy using Mg-Fe layered double hydroxides(Mg-Fe LDH)as precursor was proposed.Compared with Mg alloy,there were no obvious corrosion cracks on the surface of Fe_(3)O_(4)nanosheets-coated Mg alloy(Fe_(3)O_(4)-NS)immersed in 0.9 wt.%NaCl for 14 days,which demonstrated the corrosion resistance of Mg alloy was significantly enhanced.Cytocompatibility experiments and hemolysis assay confirmed the great biocompatibility of Fe_(3)O_(4)-NS,especially,hemolysis ratio was lower than 1%.Meanwhile,Fe_(3)O_(4)-NS presented excellent cat-alytic oxidation capacity in the presence of H_(2)O_(2),and its temperature can significantly increase from 27℃to approximately 56℃under NIR irradiation.Therefore,intelligent responsive Fe_(3)O_(4)nanosheets-engineered Mg-based implants demonstrated excellent antitumor properties in vivo and in vitro due to their photothermal and chemodynamic synergetic effects.This study provides a novel approach for the preparation of Fe_(3)O_(4)coatings on the surface of Mg alloys and a new strategy for the treatment of OS.Huihui Du Dongdong Zhang Ru Xu Juning Xie Shiwei Guan Shuhan Chen Feng Peng Shi Qian Xuanyong Liu 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,7:2
6High temperature performance of coaxial h-BN/CNT wires above 1,000 ℃:Thermionic electron emission and thermally activated conductivity显示文摘The development of wires and cables that can tolerate extremely high temperatures will be very important for probing extreme environments, such as in solar exploration, fire disasters, high-temperature materials processing, aeronautics and astronautics. In this paper, a lightweight high-temperature coaxial h-boron nitride (BN)/carbon nanotube (CNT) wire is synthesized by the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) epitaxial growth of h-BN on CNT yarn. The epitaxially grown h-BN acts as both an insulating material and a jacket that protects against oxidation. It has been shown that the thermionic electron emission (1,200 K) and thermally activated conductivity (1,000 K) are two principal mechanisms for insulation failure of h-BN at high temperatures. The thermionic emission of h-BN can provide the work function of h-BN, which ranges from 4.22 to 4.61 eV in the temperature range of 1,306-1,787 K. The change in the resistivity of h-BN with temperature follows the ohmic conduction model of an insulator, and it can provide the “electron activation energy”(the energy from the Fermi level to the conduction band of h-BN), which ranges from 2.79 to 3.08 eV, corresponding to a band gap for h-BN ranging from 5.6 to 6.2 eV. However, since the leakage current is very small, both phenomena have no obvious influence on the signal transmission at the working temperature. This lightweight coaxial h-BN/CNT wire can tolerate 1,200 ℃ in air and can transmit electrical signals as normal. 7Seedling defoliation of cereal crops increases peanut growth and yield in an intercropping system显示文摘Intercropping cereals and legumes is practiced widely in the world for improving yields and economic benefits. Shorter legume crops in intercropping are shaded by taller cereals, substantially reducing legume growth and yield. Reducing shade in intercropping by shortening the plant height of cereals by seedling defoliation has been proposed as a practical approach to increase crop yields and land productivity. A two-year field experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of defoliation of cereal crops at seedling stage on the growth and yield of peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.) intercropped with corn(Zea mays L.) or millet(Setaria italica L.). In comparison with non-defoliation controls, defoliation reduced final plant height by 29 cm on average for corn and 18 cm for millet. Photosynthetically active radiation on peanut in intercropping systems with corn or millet intercropping was respectively 27.0% and 22.8% higher than those in controls, significantly improving the light environment of intercropped peanut. Net photosynthetic rates of peanut were on average 25.5% higher in corn and peanut intercropping and 19.6% higher in millet and peanut intercropping than those in non-defoliation controls. Total biomass of intercropped peanut increased owing to increased root growth. Across two years, yield of peanut intercropped with corn was 27.7% and with millet 32.8% higher than those of controls. Defoliation of cereal crops did not affect corn yield but significantly decreased millet yield by 24.5%. 11Bipolar Resistive Switching Effect in BiFeO_3/Nb:SrTiO_3 Heterostructure by RF Sputtering at Room Temperature显示文摘The(001) oriented BiFeO_3 thin film was deposited on the Nb: SrTiO_3 substrate by radio frequency magnetron sputtering technology, and the bipolar resistive switching effect was observed in the BiFeO_3/Nb: SrTiO_3 heterostructure. The results showed that the ratio between the high resistance and low resistance was more than two orders at a reading pulse of-0.5 V and it exhibited excellent retention over 3600 s. The current density-voltage characteristic was dominated by the space-charge-limited conduction. 16Microstructure and texture in an extruded Mg-Al-Ca-Mn flat-oval tube显示文摘In the present study,mechanical property,microstructure and texture of an extruded Mg–1.0Al–1.5Ca–1.0Mn(wt.%)flat-oval tube in both the flat and the oval regions were systematically studied.Our results show that there exists a great difference in microstructure and texture between the flat and the oval regions.Both the flat and the oval regions have fine DRXed grains of 3–4μm,while more row stacked grains are observed in the flat region.A large number of fine particles with a size of about 0.5μm are dispersed in both the grain boundary and grain interior.The particles exhibit a uniform distribution in the oval region,while they tend to aggregate into bands along the extrusion direction(ED)in the flat region.The texture in the oval region is similar to that in extruded Mg rods with a preferred distribution of prismatic planes and random distribution of(0002)poles around the ED,while that in the flat region is close to that in extruded sheets containing two texture components,<0002>//normal direction(ND)and<0002>//transverse direction(TD).A high fraction of<0002>//TD component,about 52–62%,is observed in the flat region.The flat region has a tensile yield strength of 254 MPa,an ultimate tensile strength of 290 MPa and an elongation to failure of 4.3%.Feilong Guo Bo Feng Shiwei Fu Yunchang Xin Shiwei Xu Qing Liu 2017Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2017,5,1:0

18PRKCDBP Methylation is a Potential and Promising Candidate Biomarker for Non-small Cell Lung Cancer显示文摘Background and objectives:The occurrence and development of lung cancer are closely linked to epigenetic modification.Abnormal DNA methylation in the CpG island region of genes has been found in many cancers.Protein kinase C delta binding protein(PRKCDBP) is a potential tumor suppressor and its epigenetic changes are found in many human malignancies.This study investigated the possibility of PRKCDBP methylation as a potential biomarker for non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods:We measured the methylation levels of PRKCDBP in the three groups of NSCLC tissues.Promoter activity was measured by the dual luciferase assay,with S’-aza-deoxycytidine to examine the effect of demethylation on the expression level of PRKCDBP.Results:The methylation levels of PRKCDBP in tumor tissues and 3 cm para-tumor were higher than those of distant(>10 cm)non-tumor tissues.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve analysis between tumor tissues and distant non-tumor tissues showed that the area under the line(AUC) was 0.717.Dual luciferase experiment confirmed that the promoter region was able to promote gene expression.Meanwhile,in vitro methylation of the fragment(PRKCDBP;e) could significantly reduce the promoter activity of the fragment.Demethylation of 5’-aza-deoxycytidine in lung cancer cell lines A549 and H1299 showed a significant up-regulation of PRKCDBP mRNA levels.Conclusion:PRKCDBP methylation is a potential and promising candidate biomarker for non-small cell lung cancer.Jing LI Lin QI Mingfang ZHANG Caiyun YAO Jinan FENG Zhonghua ZHENG Chujia CHEN Shiwei DUAN Yuanlin QI 2022中国肺癌杂志2022,25,2:0

20Microstructure and mechanical properties of transient liquid phase bonding DD5 single-crystal superalloy to CrCoNi-based medium-entropy alloy显示文摘This study focuses on the transient liquid phase(TLP)bonding of DD5 single-crystal superalloy to Cr Co Nibased medium-entropy alloy(MEA)using a BNi-2 filler alloy.The microstructure and mechanical properties of the TLP-bonded DD5/MEA joint were evaluated,and the microstructural evolution mechanism was investigated.The formation of the isothermal solidification zone(ISZ)depended on the diffusion of the melting-point depressants(Si and B elements)from the liquid filler into the DD5 and MEA substrates,as well as the dissolution of the substrates.Boron diffused along theγchannel of DD5 and reacted to form M_(5)B_(3)boride,herein referred to as the diffusion-affected zone(DAZ I).Similarly,the Cr_(5)B_(3)boride precipitated in the Ni-rich MEA matrix adjacent to the MEA substrate(i.e.,DAZ II).Additionally,a coherent orientation of[0]_(BCY)//[011]_(FCC)and(002)_(BCY)//(200)_(FCC)was detected between M_(5)B_(3)boride with a body-centered tetragonal(BCT)structure and the face-centered cubic(FCC)matrix.The performance of the joint was dominated by the properties of the bonding seam.As the bonding time increased from 20to 80 min,the athermal solidification zone(including eutectic microstructure)was gradually replaced by the ISZ exhibiting excellent plastic deformation capability,and the shear strength of the joint was improved.The maximum shear strength(752 MPa)was achieved when the eutectic-free joint was bonded at 1050℃ for 80 min.The fracture morphology revealed a mixture mode,indicating the initiation of cracks in the DAZ II,mainly propagating in the ISZ,and passing through the DAZ I.Shiwei Li Jinglong Li Junmiao Shi Yu Peng Xuan Peng Xianjun Sun Feng Jin Jiangtao Xiong Fusheng Zhang 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,1:0
