5Research Article Focusing Properties of High-Order Harmonics显示文摘Many applications of the extreme ultraviolet(XUV)radiation obtained by high-order harmonic generation(HHG)in gases require a small focus area in order to enable attosecond pulses to reach a high intensity.Here,high-order harmonics generated in Ar with a multiterawatt laser system in a loose focusing geometry are focused to a few micrometers using two toroidal mirrors in a Wolter configuration with a high demagnification factor.Using a knife-edge measurement technique,we determine the position and size of the XUV foci as a function of harmonic order.We show that the focus properties vary with harmonic order and the generation conditions.Simulations,based on a classical description of the harmonic dipole phase and assuming that the individual harmonics can be described as Gaussian beams,reproduce the experimental behavior.We discuss how the generation geometry affects the intensity and duration of the focused attosecond pulses.Maria Hoflund Jasper Peschel Marius Plach Hugo Dacasa Kévin Veyrinas Eric Constant Peter Smorenburg Hampus Wikmark Sylvain Maclot Chen Guo Cord Arnold Anne L'Huillier Per Eng-Johnsson 2021Ultrafast Science2021,,1:1
6Choice of suitable regional and residual gravity maps, the case of the South-West Cameroon zone显示文摘The quantitative interpretation of gravity anomalies due to shallow structures needs separation between long wavelength anomalies(regional anomalies) and short wavelength anomalies(residual anomalies).The regional-residual field separation can be carried out using the polynomial method.In this case, the so-called regional field of order n is treated as a polynomial of degree n.The present study shows that the degree n must vary between a smallest value n_(min) and a maximum value n_(max).This article presents a method to process gravity data that allows determination of n_(min) and n_(max) for a given study area.We apply the method to gravity data of the South-West Cameroon zone.In this chosen study area, we find that regional anomaly maps of orders ranging from 1 to 9 and residual anomaly maps of orders ranging from 1 to 8 can be used for suitable interpretation.The analyses show that one may need residual anomaly maps of several orders to perform satisfactory quantitative interpretation of the different intrusive bodies found in a given area.Fidèle Koumetio Donatien Njomo Constant Tatchum Noutchogwe Eric Ndoh Ndikum Sévérin Nguiya Alain-Pierre Kamga Tokam 2019Earth and Planetary Physics2019,3,1:0
