| 1 | A handy review of carpal tunnel syndrome:From anatomy to diagnosis and treatment显示文摘Carpal tunnel syndrome(CTS) is the most commonly diagnosed disabling condition of the upper extremities. It is the most commonly known and prevalent type of peripheral entrapment neuropathy that accounts for about 90% of all entrapment neuropathies. | 6 | Optimization Ensemble Weights Model for Wind Forecasting System显示文摘Effective technology for wind direction forecasting can be realized using the recent advances in machine learning.Consequently,the stability and safety of power systems are expected to be significantly improved.However,the unstable and unpredictable qualities of the wind predict the wind direction a challenging problem.This paper proposes a practical forecasting approach based on the weighted ensemble of machine learning models.This weighted ensemble is optimized using a whale optimization algorithm guided by particle swarm optimization(PSO-Guided WOA).The proposed optimized weighted ensemble predicts the wind direction given a set of input features.The conducted experiments employed the wind power forecasting dataset,freely available on Kaggle and developed to predict the regular power generation at seven wind farms over forty-eight hours.The recorded results of the conducted experiments emphasize the effectiveness of the proposed ensemble in achieving accurate predictions of the wind direction.In addition,a comparison is established between the proposed optimized ensemble and other competing optimized ensembles to prove its superiority.Moreover,statistical analysis using one-way analysis of variance(ANOVA)and Wilcoxon’s rank-sum are provided based on the recorded results to confirm the excellent accuracy achieved by the proposed optimized weighted ensemble. | Amel Ali Alhussan El-Sayed M.El-kenawy Hussah Nasser AlEisa M.El-SAID Sayed A.Ward Doaa Sami Khafaga | 2022 | Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,11: | 0 |
| 7 | The combined effects of farm yard manure and boron application on growth,and oil quality of Canola grown under newly reclaimed soils显示文摘Two field experiments were conducted during the main seasons of 2021/2022 at the Research and Production Station of National Research Centre in Egypt to investigate the effects of farmyard manure(FYM)and boron on Canola growth,yield,oil yield,and quality.The results unequivocally demonstrated that the combined application of FYM at a rate of 14.4 ton ha^(-1)with a foliar spray of boron at 100 ppm positively influenced plant characteristics,leading to enhanced growth rates and higher yields compared to the control group.Moreover,this integrated approach significantly improved nutrient content by enhancing levels of oil content,carbohydrates,proteins,phenolics,flavonoids,and total soluble sugars.These findings provide compelling evidence that utilizing farm manure along with boron can effectively enhance Canola properties in newly reclaimed soils while promoting sustainable agricultural practices. | Farid Hellal Saied El Sayed Amany Abdel Mohsen Ramadan Doaa M.Abobasha | 2024 | Oil Crop Science2024,9,1: | 0 |
