1Expenditure and financial burden for the diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer in China:a hospital.based,multicenter,cross-sectional survey显示文摘Background: The increasing prevalence of colorectal cancer(CRC) in China and the paucity of information about relevant expenditure highlight the necessity of better understanding the financial burden and effect of CRC diagnosis and treatment. We performed a survey to quantify the direct medical and non-medical expenditure as well as the resulting financial burden of CRC patients in China.Methods: We conducted a multicenter, cross-sectional survey in 37 tertiary hospitals in 13 provinces across China between 2012 and 2014. Each enrolled patient was interviewed using a structured questionnaire. All expenditure data were inflated to the 2014 Chinese Yuan(CNY; 1 CNY = 0.163 USD). We quantified the overall expenditure and financial burden and by subgroup(hospital type, age at diagnosis, sex, education, occupation, insurance type, household income, clinical stage, pathologic type, and therapeutic regimen). We then performed generalized linear modeling to determine the factors associated with overall expenditure.Results: A total of 2356 patients with a mean age of 57.4 years were included, 57.1 % of whom were men; 13.9% of patients had stage I cancer; and the average previous-year household income was 54,525 CNY.The overall average direct expenditure per patient was estimated to be 67,408 CNY, and the expenditures for stage Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, and Ⅳ disease were 56,099 CNY, 59,952 CNY, 67,292 CNY, and 82,729 CNY, respectively. Non-medical expenditure accounted for 8.3%of the overall expenditure. The 1-year out-of-pocket expenditure of a newly diagnosed patient was 32,649 CNY, which accounted for 59.9% of their previous-year household income and caused 75.0% of families to suffer an unmanageable financial burden. Univariate analysis showed that financial burden and overall expenditure differed in almost all subgroups(P < 0.05), except for sex. Multivariate analysis showed that patients who were treated in specialized hospitals and those who were diagnosed with adenocarcinoma or diagnosed at a later stage were likely to spend more,whereas those with a lower household income and those who underwent surgery spent less(all P < 0.05).Conclusions: For patients in China, direct expenditure for the diagnosis and treatment of CRC seemed catastrophic,and non-medical expenditure was non-ignorable. 2Preparation of RuO_2-SnO_2 nanomaterial by sol gel technique显示文摘Ru Sn binary oxide is one of the most frequently used anode coating material in electrochemical industry, but its composition distribution and microstructure are not homogeneous, so the nanoscale RuO 2 SnO 2 binary oxide was prepared for improvement by a sol gel technique. The morphology, microstructure, crystal structure and other properties of the new oxide were studied by EPMA, DTA,XRD,TEM, and electrochemical analysis. 4Amisulpride augmentation therapy improves cognitive performance and psychopathology in clozapine‑resistant treatment‑refractory schizophrenia:a 12‑week randomized,double‑blind,placebo‑controlled trial显示文摘Background:Although clozapine is an effective option for treatment-resistant schizophrenia(TRS),there are still 1/3 to 1/2 of TRS patients who do not respond to clozapine.The main purpose of this randomized,double-blind,placebocontrolled trial was to explore the amisulpride augmentation efficacy on the psychopathological symptoms and cognitive function of clozapine-resistant treatment-refractory schizophrenia(CTRS)patients.Methods:A total of 80 patients were recruited and randomly assigned to receive initial clozapine plus amisulpride(amisulpride group)or clozapine plus placebo(placebo group).Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale(PANSS),Scale for the Assessment of Negative Symptoms(SANS),Clinical Global Impression(CGI)scale scores,Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status(RBANS),Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale(TESS),laboratory measurements,and electrocardiograms(ECG)were performed at baseline,week 6,and week 12.Results:Compared with the placebo group,amisulpride group had a lower PANSS total score,positive subscore,and general psychopathology subscore at week 6 and week 12(PBonferroni<0.01).Furthermore,compared with the placebo group,the amisulpride group showed an improved RBANS language score at week 12(PBonferroni<0.001).Amisulpride group had a higher treatment response rate(P=0.04),lower scores of CGI severity and CGI efficacy at week 6 and week 12 than placebo group(PBonferroni<0.05).There were no differences between the groups in body mass index(BMI),corrected QT(QTc)intervals,and laboratory measurements.This study demonstrates that amisulpride augmentation therapy can safely improve the psychiatric symptoms and cognitive performance of CTRS patients.Ming‑Huan Zhu Zhen‑Jing Liu Qiong‑Yue Hu Jia‑Yu Yang Ying Jin Na Zhu Ying Huang Dian‑Hong Shi Min‑Jia Liu Hong‑Yang Tan Lei Zhao Qin‑Yu Lv Zheng‑Hui Yi Feng‑Chun Wu Ze‑Zhi Li 2023Military Medical Research2023,10,4:1

9Time effects of rice straw and engineered bacteria on reduction of exogenous Cu mobility in three typical Chinese soils显示文摘Globally,copper(Cu)accumulation in soils is a major environmental concern.Agricultural organic waste and some bacterial species can readily absorb metals in an eco-friendly manner,and thus are commonly used in metal-contaminated soil remediation.This study investigates the change in Cu fractions during the aging process and the time effects of rice straw(RS)and engineered bacteria(EB)(Pseudomonas putida X4/pIME)on reduction of Cu mobility.Three typical Chinese soils(red,cinnamon,and black soils)were incubated with RS or RS+EB in the presence of exogenous Cu for 24 months.The soil physicochemical properties,reactive soil components,Cu fractions,and Cu mobility were determined over time.The Cu mobility factor(MF)values were the lowest in the black soil(6.4-9.2)because of its high organic carbon and clay contents.The additions of both RS and RS+EB accelerated Cu stabilization during the aging process in all three soils.The Cu MF values decreased with time during the initial 20 months;however,the MF values increased thereafter in all soils,which might be due to the reduction of humic substances and amorphous iron oxides and the increase in iron oxides complexed on the organic matter.The reduction rates of Cu MF were similar after 16,24,and more than 24 months in the red,cinnamon,and black soils,respectively,indicating that RS and RS+EB could limit Cu mobility at different times in various soils.The RS treatment showed the greatest efficiency in reducing Cu mobility in the red,cinnamon,and black soils after 12,12,and 8 months of incubation,respectively.The RS+EB treatment was more efficient than the RS treatment in the red soil during the initial 8 months of the incubation period.Our study provides theoretical support for Cu risk assessments and RS supplementation for Cu remediation in different soils.Hanzhi SHI Dian WEN Yongdong HUANG Shoujun XU Tenghaobo DENG Furong LI Zhichao WU Xu WANG Peihua ZHAO Fuhua WANG Ruiying DU 2022Pedosphere2022,32,5:0
10Role of the Solution Environment in Nanofiltration for the Recovery of Ionic Liquids from Water显示文摘In this work,experiments to examine the recycling of ionic liquids(ILs)from aqueous solution by nanofiltration(NF)were conducted.The influences of pH,ionic strength,and macromolecular organic matter on filtration performance metrics including the volume flux(J_(v))and observed rejection(R_(obs))were systematically studied.Aqueous solutions of three widely studied ILs,specifically 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride([C_(4)mim]Cl),1-decyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride([C_(10)mim]Cl),and 1-buty 1-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate([C_(4)mim]BF_(4))were selected for this study.The mechanisms of interaction between the ILs and the NF membrane under different pH and ionic-strength conditions were revealed by quantum chemical calculations and molecular simulations.The results showed that with increasing pH,the J_(v) and R_(obs)values of the[C_(4)mim]Cl and[C_(10)mim]Cl aqueous solutions increased,while for the[C_(4)mim]BF_(4)aqueous solution,the J_(v) value increased and the R_(obs)value decreased.Furthermore,with increasing ionic strength,the J_(v) values of the[C_(4)mim]Cl and[C_(4)mim]BF_(4)aqueous solutions decreased,and their R_(obs)values increased;conversely,for the[C_(10)mim]Cl aqueous solution,the R_(obs)value decreased,and the J_(v) vale first increased and then decreased.In addition,it was found that the presence of macromolecular organic matter tends to cause membrane fouling and has a great influence on the separation of aqueous solutions of ILs by NF.In general,membrane fouling leads to an increase in the R_(obs)value but a decrease in the J_(v) value.Qian Jianguo Shi Peng Shi Yanan Niu Dian 2022China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2022,24,3:0
