1Corneal endothelial cell density and morphology in low and moderate myopic Chinese eyes显示文摘AIM:To describe and compare the corneal endothelial cell density and morphology in young,low and moderate myopic Chinese adults in Malaysian Chinese population.·METHODS:Non-contact specular microscopy(Topcon SP3000P,Tokyo,Japan) was performed in low(n =78;21.22±1.51 years) and moderate(n =78;21.82±1.40 years)myopic subjects.The mean of three consecutive measurements of endothelial cell density(MCD),coefficient of variation(CV) in the cell size,and hexagonal appearance of the cell were obtained.·RESULTS:In low myopic eyes the MCD was 3 063.0±176.2/mm2,the mean CV was 33.4 ±4.0% and the mean hexagonal appearance of the cell was 57.9 ±2.7%.In moderate myopic eyes the MCD was 2961.6 ±159.0/mm2,the mean CV was 33.9 ±3.6% and mean hexagonal appearance of the cell was 56.2 ±4.7%.There were statistically significant differences in MCD(P <0.000) and hexagonal appearance of the cell(P <0.005) between low and moderate myopic eyes.·CONCLUSION:The corneal endothelial cell layer in more myopic eyes tends to have less MCD and cell hexagonality compared to lower myopic eyes.Nevertheless,there is no significant difference in CV between low and moderate myopic eyes.Samaneh Delshad Jane Mei Chun 2013International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2013,6,4:5

6Numerical simulation of the impact of polymer rheology on polymer injectivity using a multilevel local grid refinement method显示文摘Polymer injectivity is an important factor for evaluating the project economics of chemical flood,which is highly related to the polymer viscosity.Because the flow rate varies rapidly near injectors and significantly changes the polymer viscosity due to the non-Newtonian rheological behavior,the polymer viscosity near the wellbore is difficult to estimate accurately with the practical gridblock size in reservoir simulation.To reduce the impact of polymer rheology upon chemical EOR simulations,we used an efficient multilevel local grid refinement(LGR)method that provides a higher resolution of the flows in the near-wellbore region.An efficient numerical scheme was proposed to accurately solve the pressure equation and concentration equations on the multilevel grid for both homogeneous and heterogeneous reservoir cases.The block list and connections of the multilevel grid are generated via an efficient and extensible algorithm.Field case simulation results indicate that the proposed LGR is consistent with the analytical injectivity model and achieves the closest results to the full grid refinement,which considerably improves the accuracy of solutions compared with the original grid.In addition,the method was validated by comparing it with the LGR module of CMG_STARS.Besides polymer injectivity calculations,the LGR method is applicable for other problems in need of near-wellbore treatment,such as fractures near wells.Hai-Shan Luo Mojdeh Delshad Zhi-Tao Li Amir Shahmoradi 2016Petroleum Science2016,13,1:1
