| 1 | OXIDATION OF A TWO-PHASE Cu-75Cr ALLOY IN AIRAT 700-900℃显示文摘The cormsion in air of a two-phase Cu-75Cr alloy was studied at 700-900℃. Thealloy cormded nearly parabolically at 700-800℃, but at 900℃ its instantaneousparabolic mte constant decreased with time. The scales were complex and consistedof an outermost layer of copper oxide generally followed bg a layer of the double ox-ide Cu2 Cr2 O4 sometimes containing particles of unoxidized chromium surmunded bya chromia layer. An innermost layer of chromia was also observed in some cases.Finally metallic copper was al8o frequently mixed with chromia particles. No Cr de-pletion was observed in the alloy close to the inteffoce with the scale. In any case,this alloy was not able to form an exclusive continuous protective chromia layer. Thespecial cormsion behavior Of this alloy is typical of two-phase binary systems with alange solubility gaP in which the outwaof dthesion fiux of the most-reactive componentin the alloy is strongly reduced and may be inswncient to fOrm a protective externallayer of the cormsponding oxide. | 2 | Platelet count/spleen diameter ratio to predict esophageal varices in Mexican patients with hepatic cirrhosis显示文摘AIM:To validate whether the platelet count/spleen size ratio can be used to predict the presence of esophageal varices in Mexican patients with hepatic cirrhosis.METHODS:This was an analytical cross-sectional study to validate the diagnostic test for hepatic cirrhosis and was performed between February 2010 and December 2011.Patients with a diagnosis of hepatic cirrhosis were included and stratified using their ChildPugh score.Biochemical parameters were evaluated,and ultrasound was used to measure the longest diameter of the spleen.The platelet count/spleen diameter ratio was calculated and analyzed to determine whether it can predict the presence of esophageal varices.Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy was used as the gold standard.Sensitivity and specificity,positive and negative predictive values,and positive and negative likelihood ratios were determined,with the cutoff points determined by receiver-operating characteristic curves.RESULTS:A total of 91 patients were included.The mean age was 53.75±12 years;50(54.9%)were men,and 41(45.0%)women.The etiology of cirrhosis included alcohol in 48(52.7%),virally induced in24(26.3%),alcoholism plus hepatitis C virus in three(3.2%),cryptogenic in nine(9.8%),and primary biliary cirrhosis in seven(7.6%).Esophageal varices were present in 73(80.2%)patients.Child-Pugh classification,17(18.6%)patients were classified as class A,37(40.6%)as class B,and 37(40.6%)as class C.The platelet count/spleen diameter ratio to detect esophageal varices independent of the grade showed using a cutoff value of≤884.3,had 84%sensitivity,70%specificity,and positive and negative predictive values of 94%and 40%,respectively.CONCLUSION:Our results suggest that the platelet count/spleen diameter ratio may be a useful tool for detecting esophageal varices in patients with hepatic cirrhosis. | Alejandro González-Ojeda Gabino Cervantes-Guevara Manuela Chávez-Sánchez Carlos Dávalos-Cobián Susana Ornelas-Cázares Michel Dassaejv Macías-Amezcua Mariana Chávez-Tostado Kenia Militzi Ramírez-Campos Anaís del Rocío Ramírez-Arce Clotilde Fuentes-Orozco | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014，20，8： | 18 |
| 3 | Expression of HER2 and bradykinin B_1 receptors in precursor lesions of gallbladder carcinoma显示文摘AIM:To determine the expression of HER2 and bradykinin B 1 receptors(B 1 R) in the two pathogenic models of gallbladder cancer:the metaplasia-dysplasia-carcinoma and the adenoma-carcinoma pathways.METHODS:Receptor proteins were visualized by immunohistochemistry on 5-μm sections of paraffin-embedded tissue.Expression of both receptors was studied in biopsy samples from 92 patients(6 males and 86 females;age ranging from 28 to 86 years,mean 56 years).High HER2 expression in specimens was additionally investigated by fluorescence in situ hybridiza-tion.Cell proliferation in each sample was assessed by using the Ki-67 proliferation marker.RESULTS:HER2 receptor protein was absent in adenomas and in normal gallbladder epithelium.On the contrary,there was intense staining for HER2 on the basolateral membrane of epithelial cells of intestinal metaplasia(22/24;91.7%) and carcinoma in situ(9/10;90%),the lesions that displayed a significantly high proliferation index.Protein up-regulation of HER2 in the epithelium with metaplasia or carcinoma in situ was not accompanied by HER2 gene amplification.A similar result was observed in invasive carcinomas(0/12).The B 1 R distribution pattern mirrored that of HER2 except that B 1 R was additionally observed in the adenomas.The B 1 R appeared either as cytoplasmic dots or labeling on the apical cell membrane of the cells composing the epithelia with intestinal metaplasia(24/24;100%) and carcinoma in situ(10/10;100%) and in the epithelial cells of adenomas.In contrast,both HER2(4/12;33%) and B 1 R(1/12;8.3%) showed a low expression in invasive gallbladder carcinomas.CONCLUSION:The up-regulation of HER2 and B1R in precursor lesions of gallbladder carcinoma suggests cross-talk between these two receptors that may be of importance in the modulation of cell proliferation in gallbladder carcinogenesis. | Cesar Toledo Carola E Matus Ximena Barraza Pamela Arroyo Pamela Ehrenfeld Carlos D Figueroa Kanti D Bhoola Maeva del Pozo Maria T Poblete | 2012 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2012，18，11： | 6 |

| 6 | Retinal image quality with multifocal,EDoF,and accommodative intraocular lenses as studied by pyramidal aberrometry显示文摘Background:To study and compare the clinical optical image quality following implantation with different premium IOLs by analysing the point spread function(PSF)Strehl ratio using a pyramidal wavefront sensor(PWS)-based aberrometer.Methods:This study included 194 eyes implanted with:(a)19 AcrySof SA60AT(control group);(b)19 Miniwell;(c)24 LENTIS Mplus LS-313 MF30;(d)33 LENTIS Mplus LS-313 MF15;(e)17 AkkoLens Lumina;(f)31 AT LISA Tri 839MP;(g)20 Precizon Presbyopic;(h)20 AcrySof IQ PanOptix;(i)11 Tecnis Eyhance.Main outcome measures were PSF Strehl ratio,PSF Strehl ratio excluding second-order aberrations(PSFw2),total root mean square(RMS),low-order aberration(LOA)and high-order aberration(HOA)RMS measured by PWS aberrometer.Results:AT LISA Tri had the highest PSFw2 Strehl ratio at both 3.0-and 4.0-mm pupil size(0.52±0.14 and 0.31±0.10;P<0.05),followed by SA60AT(0.41±0.11 and 0.28±0.07)and PanOptix(0.4±0.07 and 0.26±0.04).AT LISA Tri was found to provide a significantly better retinal image quality than PanOptix at both 3.0 mm(P<0.0001)and 4.0 mm(P=0.004).Mplus MF15 was found to be significantly better than Mplus MF30 at both 3.0 mm(P<0.0001)and 4.0 mm(P=0.002).Total RMS,LOA RMS,HOA RMS,PSF Strehl ratio and PSFw2 varied significantly between the studied groups(P<0.001).Conclusions:Far distance clinical image quality parameters measured by PWS aberrometer differed significantly according to the technology of the implanted lens.AT LISA Tri,SA60AT and PanOptix showed the highest values of far distance retinal image quality,while the lowest PSFw2 Strehl ratios were displayed by Miniwell,Mplus MF30 and Precizon Presbyopic. | Jorge L.Alio Francesco D’Oria Francesca Toto Joan Balgos Antonio Palazon Francesco Versaci Jorge L.Alio del Barrio | 2021 | Eye and Vision2021，8，1： | 3 |
