1Chassis Coordinated Control for Full X-by-Wire Vehicles-A Review显示文摘An X-by-wire chassis can improve the kinematic characteristics of human-vehicle closed-loop system and thus active safety especially under emergency scenarios via enabling chassis coordinated control.This paper aims to provide a complete and systematic survey on chassis coordinated control methods for full X-by-wire vehicles,with the primary goal of summarizing recent reserch advancements and stimulating innovative thoughts.Driving condition identification including driver’s operation intention,critical vehicle states and road adhesion condition and integrated control of X-by-wire chassis subsystems constitute the main framework of a chassis coordinated control scheme.Under steering and braking maneuvers,different driving condition identification methods are described in this paper.These are the trigger conditions and the basis for the implementation of chassis coordinated control.For the vehicles equipped with steering-by-wire,braking-by-wire and/or wire-controlled-suspension systems,state-of-the-art chassis coordinated control methods are reviewed including the coordination of any two or three chassis subsystems.Finally,the development trends are discussed.Lei Zhang Zhiqiang Zhang Zhenpo Wang Junjun Deng David G.Dorrell 2021Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,2:6
2Control and Applications of Direct Matrix Converters:A Review显示文摘In recent decades,the matrix converter(MC)has emerged as a promising AC/AC converter that performs the direct AC-to-AC conversion.Because of its attractive features such as compact volume,bidirectional power flow,controllable input power factor and sinusoidal waveforms,there has been an increase in MC related research work.Many control techniques have been proposed to control MCs and many potential applications have been investigated.This paper presents the state-of-the-art review in the recent development of control strategies and applications of MCs,starting with MC fundamentals.Some relevant simulation and experimental results are presented to show the performance of the corresponding controllers in specific applications.A wide range of control techniques and potential application fields are covered.Industrial products and modules are also discussed.Comparisons of different control strategies and different applications are summarized and presented.It is concluded that the MC is a promising converter and more research and industry interest is expected,particularly in AC motor drives and renewable energy microgrids.Jianwei Zhang Li Li David G.Dorrell 2018Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering2018,4,2:2
3Modified PI Controller with Improved Steady-State Performance and Comparison with PR Controller on Direct Matrix Converters显示文摘This paper proposes a modified proportional-integral(PI)controller and compares it with a proportional-resonant(PR)controller.These controllers are tested on a three-phase direct matrix converter(MC).The modified PI controller involves current feedforward together with space vector modulation(SVM)to control the MC output currents.This controller provides extra control flexibility in terms of the current error reduction,and it gives improved steady-state tracking performance.When the coefficient of current feedforward is equal to the load resistor(K=R),the steady-state error is effectively minimized even when regulating sinusoidal variables.The total harmonic distortion is also reduced.In order to comparatively evaluate the modified PI controller,a PR controller is designed and tested.Both the modified PI and PR controllers are implemented in the natural frame(abc)in a straightforward manner.This removes the coordinate transformations that are required in the stationary(αβ)and synchronous(dq)reference frame based control strategies.In addition,both controllers can handle the unbalanced conditions.The experimental and simulation results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed controllers.Jianwei Zhang Li Li David G.Dorrell Youguang Guo 2019Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering2019,5,1:1
4Experimental Investigation of the Small-scale Fixed Multi-chamber OWC Device显示文摘Sea wave energy generators or converters(WECs)have the potential to become a viable technology for clean,renewable energy production.Among the WEC technologies,the oscillating water columns(OWCs)are the most common WEC devices studied.These have been studied and developed over many years.Multi-chamber oscillating water columns(MC-OWC)have the potential to have a higher energy conversion when extracting energy in mixed sea states than single-chamber devices.In the work reported in this paper,physical experiments are carried under regular wave conditions to test the wave power extraction of a fixed MC-OWC small-scale model.The Power Take-Off(PTO)of the device is simulated using orifice plates.The flow characteristics through these orifices are pre-calibrated such that the extracted power can be obtained only using the pressure measurement.Wave condition effects on the damping of the PTO of the device power extraction are addressed.The test results illustrate that the PTO system damping is critical and affects device performance.Mohammad Shalby Ahmed Elhanafi Paul Walker David G.Dorrell Ahmad Salah Mohamed R.Gomaa Mohamed Behiri 2021Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,5:0
