3Cardiovascular magnetic resonance in myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries patients: A review显示文摘The diagnosis of myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries(MINOCA)necessitates documentation of an acute myocardial infarction(AMI),non-obstructive coronary arteries, using invasive coronary angiography or coronary computed tomography angiography and no clinically overt cause for AMI.Historically patients with MINOCA represent a clinical dilemma with subsequent uncertain clinical management.Differential diagnosis is crucial to choose the best therapeutic option for ischemic and non-ischemic MINOCA patients.Cardiovascular magnetic resonance(CMR)is able to analyze cardiac structure and function simultaneously and provides tissue characterization. Moreover,CMR could identify the cause of MINOCA in nearly two-third of patients providing valuable information for clinical decision making. Finally,it allows stratification of patients with worse outcomes which resulted in therapeutic changes in almost half of the patients. In this review we discuss the features of CMR in MINOCA;from exam protocols to imaging findings.Marco Gatti Andrea Carisio Tommaso D’Angelo Fatemeh Darvizeh Serena Dell’Aversana Davide Tore Maurizio Centonze Riccardo Faletti 2020World Journal of Cardiology2020,12,6:2
4Experimental investigations of the functional morphology of dragonfly wings显示文摘Nowadays, the importance of identifying the flight mechanisms of the dragonfly, as an inspiration for designing flapping wing vehicles, is well known. An experimental approach to understanding the complexities of insect wings as organs of flight could provide significant outcomes for design purposes. In this paper, a comprehensive investigation is carried out on the morphological and microstructural features of dragonfly wings. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and tensile testing are used to experimentally verify the functional roles of different parts of the wings. A number of SEM images of the elements of the wings, such as the nodus, leading edge, trailing edge, and vein sections, which play dominant roles in strengthening the whole structure, are presented. The results from the tensile tests indicate that the nodus might be the critical region of the wing that is subjected to high tensile stresses. Considering the patterns of the longitudinal corrugations of the wings obtained in this paper, it can be supposed that they increase the load-bearing capacity, giving the wings an ability to tolerate dynamic loading conditions. In addition, it is suggested that the longitudinal veins, along with the leading and trailing edges, are structural mechanisms that further improve fatigue resistance by providing higher fracture toughness, preventing crack propagation, and allowing the wings to sustain a significant amount of damage without loss of strength.H. 5Role of gadoxetic acid-enhanced liver magnetic resonance imaging in the evaluation of hepatocellular carcinoma after locoregional treatment显示文摘Locoregional treatments,as alternatives to surgery, play a key role in the management of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Liver magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)enables a multiparametric assessment, going beyond the traditional dynamic computed tomography approach. Moreover, the use of hepatobiliary agents can improve diagnostic accuracy and are becoming important in the diagnosis and follow-up of HCC.However, the main challenge is to quickly identify classical responses to loco-regional treatments in order to determine the most suitable management strategy for each patient. The aim of this review is to provide a summary of the most common and uncommon liver MRI findings in patients who underwent loco-regional treatments for HCC,with a special focus on ablative therapies(radiofrequency, microwaves and cryoablation),transarterial chemoembolization,trans-arterial radio-embolization and stereotactic ablative radiotherapy techniques, considering the usefulness of gadoxetate disodium(Gd-EOB-DTPA)contrast agent.Marco Gatti Cesare Maino Fatemeh Darvizeh Alessandro Serafini Eleonora Tricarico Alessia Guarneri Riccardo Inchingolo Davide Ippolito Umberto Ricardi Paolo Fonio Riccardo Faletti 2022World Journal of Gastroenterology2022,28,26:2
6Benign focal liver lesions:The role of magnetic resonance imaging显示文摘Liver lesions are common findings in radiologists’daily routine. They are a complex category of pathology that range from solitary benign lesions to primary liver cancer and liver metastases.Benign focal liver lesions can arise from different liver cell types:Epithelial(hepatocytes and biliary cells)and nonepithelial(mesenchymal cells).Liver magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)is a fundamental radiological method in these patients as it allows with its multiparametric approach optimal non-invasive tissue characterization.Furthermore, advanced liver MRI techniques such as diffusion-weighted imaging and hepatobiliary contrast agents have improved the detection of focal liver lesions and can be highly effective in differentiating pseudotumor from tumors,as well as benign from malignant lesions, and can also be used for differential diagnosis.Although histological examination can be useful in making a definitive diagnosis,MRI is an important modality in the diagnosis of liver lesions with a significant impact on patient care. This aim of this review is to provide a comprehensive overview of benign liver lesions on MRI.Marco Gatti Cesare Maino Davide Tore Andrea Carisio Fatemeh Darvizeh Eleonora Tricarico Riccardo Inchingolo Davide Ippolito Riccardo Faletti 2022World Journal of Hepatology2022,14,5:2
7Postbuckling analysis of functionally graded graphene platelet-reinforced polymer composite cylindrical shells using an analytical solution approach显示文摘An analytical approach is proposed to study the postbuckling of circular cylindrical shells subject to axial compression and lateral pressure made of functionally graded graphene platelet-reinforced polymer composite (FG-GPL-RPC). The governing equations are obtained in the context of the classical Donnell shell theory by the von K′arm′an nonlinear relations. Then, based on the Ritz energy method, an analytical solution approach is used to trace the nonlinear postbuckling path of the shell. The effects of several parameters such as the weight fraction of the graphene platelet (GPL), the geometrical properties, and distribution patterns of the GPL on the postbuckling characteristics of the FG-GPL-RPC shell are analyzed.S.
