| 1 | Correlations between characteristics of maximum influence and degree distributions in software networks显示文摘Software systems can be represented as complex networks and their artificial nature can be investigated with approaches developed in network analysis.Influence maximization has been successfully applied on software networks to identify the important nodes that have the maximum influence on the other parts.However,research is open to study the effects of network fabric on the influence behavior of the highly influential nodes.In this paper,we construct class dependence graph(CDG)networks based on eight practical Java software systems,and apply the procedure of influence maximization to study empirically the correlations between the characteristics of maximum influence and the degree distributions in the software networks.We demonstrate that the artificial nature of CDG networks is reflected partly from the scale free behavior:the in-degree distribution follows power law,and the out-degree distribution is lognormal.For the influence behavior,the expected influence spread of the maximum influence set identified by the greedy method correlates significantly with the degree distributions.In addition,the identified influence set contains influential classes that are complex in both the number of methods and the lines of code(LOC).For the applications in software engineering,the results provide possibilities of new approaches in designing optimization procedures of software systems. | GU Qing XIONG ShiJie CHEN DaoXu | 2014 | Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,7: | 5 |

| 8 | The optimization of replica distribution in the unstructured overlays显示文摘Replication is a widely used technique in unstructured overlays to improve content availability or system performance. A fundamental question often addressed by previous work focused on: how many replicas ought to be allocated for each data item given the fixed query rates and limited storage capability? In this paper, we have put forth two optimal replica distributions to achieve the highest success rate and the lowest message consumption. Especially, we have investigated the influence of item size on replica distribution. Our results show that Square-Root Replication, which is traditionally considered to be optimal, is not always the best choice. | 12 | Golden age:on multi-source software update propagation in pervasive networking environments显示文摘With the development of Internet technology,a large portion of computer softwares appear to run in a network-oriented,distributed-deployed,and self-evolving manner.The emerging wireless communication technologies broaden the usage of software in mobile platforms,enabling the pervasive computing paradigm,where people can access information/service anytime and anywhere with portable devices.In the pervasive networking environment where mobile devices operate on the ad hoc mode and communicate with each other opportunistically without wireless infrastructures,distributing the evolving software updates to a set of mobile terminals is a challenging task.In this paper,we address the problem of distributing multiple software updates in pervasive networks with storage and bandwidth constraints,and propose age-based solutions to tackle this problem.The basic idea is to introduce different age-based priority mechanisms for propagation decision making in order to resolve the contention of wireless bandwidth and storage buffer.We investigate a number of update propagation strategies including random spread,youngest age,and golden age.Mathematical models are derived to analyse the performance of the proposed strategies.It is shown that the golden age strategy has the burst effect,which could be used to enhance the efficiency of software update distribution.The principles for choosing golden age values are proposed aiming to optimize different utility metrics.Extensive simulations under various network parameters show that the golden age strategy outperforms other strategies for multi-source software updates propagation. | LI WenZhong FU XiaoMing CHAN Edward LU SangLu CHEN DaoXu | 2013 | Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,8: | 0 |
| 13 | Effect of the in situ leaching solution of ion-absorbed rare earth on the mechanical behavior of basement rock显示文摘A clear understanding of the evolution characteristics of leaching solution’s damage to the basement rock of ion-adsorbed rare earth deposits is essential in the in situ leaching mining.In this study,some laboratory tests were carried out to investigate the deterioration behavior and failure mechanism of rock under the erosion of leaching solution.For this purpose,granite specimens were soaked in the leaching solution for different periods and then some physical and mechanical parameters were measured.The experimental results show that the strength of the rock without any soaking is the maximum.After 60 d,the rock strength,mass(dry)and P-wave velocity(dry)decrease to the minimum,while the porosity of the specimens reaches the maximum.Moreover,the failure pattern of the specimens in the uniaxial compression tests is affected as the soaking time increases.The scanning electron microscopy(SEM)image results indicate that the erosion of quartz crystals inside the rock specimens gets more intense with the increase of soaking time.Also,the internal crystal failure mode gradually changes from the trans-granular to the inter-granular.The insights gained from this study are helpful for better understanding the evolution characteristics of leaching solution’s damage to the basement rock of ionadsorbed rare earth deposits. | Wen Zhong Jian Ouyang Daoxue Yang Xiaojun Wang Zhongqun Guo Kaijian Hu | 2022 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2022,14,4: | 0 |
