| 1 | Enhanced second-harmonic generation from two-dimensional MoSe_(2) on a silicon waveguide显示文摘Two-dimensional transition-metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs)with intrinsically broken crystal inversion symmetry and large secondorder nonlinear responses have shown great promise for future nonlinear light sources.However,the sub-nanometer monolayer thickness of such materials limits the length of their nonlinear interaction with light.Here,we experimentally demonstrate the enhancement of the second-harmonic generation from monolayer MoSe_(2) by its integration onto a 220-nm-thick silicon waveguide.Such on-chip integration allows for a marked increase in the interaction length between the MoSe_(2) and the waveguide mode,further enabling phase matching of the nonlinear process.The demonstrated TMDC–silicon photonic hybrid integration opens the door to second-order nonlinear effects within the silicon photonic platform,including efficient frequency conversion,parametric amplification and the generation of entangled photon pairs. | Haitao Chen Vincent Corboliou Alexander S Solntsev Duk-Yong Choi Maria A Vincenti Domenico de Ceglia Costantino de Angelis Yuerui Lu Dragomir N Neshev | 2017 | Light(Science & Applications)2017，6，1： | 7 |
| 2 | Role of three-dimensional imaging integration in atrial fibrillation ablation显示文摘Atrial fibrillation is the most common arrhythmia and in symptomatic patients with a drug-refractory form,catheter ablation aimed at electrically disconnecting the pulmonary veins(PVs) has proved more effective than use of antiarrhythmic drugs in maintaining sinus rhythm during follow-up.On the other hand,this ablation procedure is complex,requires specific training and adequate clinical experience.A main challenge is represented by the need for accurate sequential positioning of the ablation catheter around each veno-atrial junction to deliver point-by-point radiofrequency energy applications in order to achieve complete and persistent electrical disconnection of the PVs.Imaging integration is a new technology that enables guidance during this procedure by showing a three-dimensional,pre-acquired computed tomography or magnetic resonance image and the relative real-time position of the ablation catheter on the screen of the electroanatomic system.Reports in the literature suggest that imaging integration provides accurate visual information with improvement in the procedure parameters and/or clinical outcomes of the procedure. | Roberto De Ponti Raffaella Marazzi Domenico Lumia Giuseppe Picciolo Roberto Biddau Carlo Fugazzola Jorge A Salerno-Uriarte | 2010 | World Journal of Cardiology2010，2，8： | 5 |
| 3 | Laparoscopic splenectomy for a littoral cell angioma of the spleen: Case report显示文摘A littoral cell angioma(LCA) is a primary vascular tumor of the spleen, that can have malignant potential and may present association with other malignancies. This is a case of LCA that was discovered incidentally in a 79-year-old woman who presented with a polycythemia at the time of consultation. The neoplasm was evaluated by ultrasound and computed tomography. The patient underwent a splenectomy that revealed LCA by pathological evaluation. The post-operative outcome was favorable with no complications or recurrent disease. | 5 | Erlotinib inhibits progression to dysplasia in a colitis-associated colon cancer model显示文摘AIM:To investigate the role of epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) in colitis-associated dysplasia using the EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor erlotinib.METHODS:Sprague-Dawley rats received trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid(TNBS;30 mg in 50% ethanol,ic),followed 6 wk later by reactivation with TNBS(5 mg/kg,iv) for 3 d.To induce colitis-associated dysplasia,rats then received TNBS(iv) twice a week for 10 wk.One group received erlotinib(10 mg/kg,ip) for 1 wk before the start of the reactivation of the colitis and 2 wk after(21 d);the rest received the vehicle.After rats were euthanized,the colons were removed and analyzed for damage and expression of the EGFR downstream effectors Erk1/2 and c-Myc.RESULTS:Ninety percent of the vehicle-treated animals had dysplasia in any region of the colon.Erlotinib-treated animals had a significant decrease in the incidence of dysplasia compared to vehicle-treated animals in all regions of the colon(50.00% ± 11.47% vs 90.00% ± 10.00% in proximal,P < 0.05;15.00% ± 8.19% vs 50.00% ± 16.67% in mid,P < 0.05;and 20.00% ± 9.17% vs 70.00% ± 15.28% in distal,P < 0.01).Erlotinib-treated animals also had reduced cell proliferation,reduced active Erk1/2,and reduced c-Myc in colon epithelium compared with the vehicle-treated animals.In vitro,erlotinib treatment was shown to markedly decrease c-Myc and pErk1/2 levels in rat epithelial cells.Proliferation of rat epithelial cells was stimulated by epidermal growth factor and inhibited by erlotinib(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:Erlotinib can decrease the development of colitis-associated dysplasia,suggesting a potential therapeutic use for erlotinib in patients with long-standing colitis. | Beatriz Pagán Angel A Isidro Myrella L Cruz Domenico Coppola Caroline B Appleyard | 2011 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2011，17，44： | 1 |
