1Fusion of Infrared and Visible Images Using Fuzzy Based Siamese Convolutional Network显示文摘Traditional techniques based on image fusion are arduous in integrating complementary or heterogeneous infrared(IR)/visible(VS)images.Dissimilarities in various kind of features in these images are vital to preserve in the single fused image.Hence, simultaneous preservation of both the aspects at the same time is a challenging task. However, most of the existing methods utilize the manual extraction of features;and manual complicated designing of fusion rules resulted in a blurry artifact in the fused image. Therefore, this study has proposed a hybrid algorithm for the integration of multi-features among two heterogeneous images.Firstly, fuzzification of two IR/VS images has been done by feeding it to the fuzzy sets to remove the uncertainty present in the background and object of interest of the image.Secondly, images have been learned by two parallel branches of the siamese convolutional neural network(CNN)to extract prominent features from the images as well as high-frequency information to produce focus maps containing source image information. Finally, the obtained focused maps which contained the detailed integrated information are directly mapped with the source image via pixelwise strategy to result in fused image.Different parameters have been used to evaluate the performance of the proposed image fusion by achieving 1.008 for mutual information(MI),0.841 for entropy(EG),0.655 for edge information(EI),0.652 for human perception(HP),and 0.980 for image structural similarity(ISS).Experimental results have shown that the proposed technique has attained the best qualitative and quantitative results using 78 publically available images in comparison to the existing discrete cosine transform(DCT),anisotropic diffusion&karhunen-loeve(ADKL),guided filter(GF),random walk(RW),principal component analysis(PCA),and convolutional neural network(CNN)methods.Kanika Bhalla Deepika Koundal Surbhi Bhatia Mohammad Khalid Imam Rahmani Muhammad Tahir 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,3:0
2Current and emerging treatment for diabetic retinopathy in geriatric patients: a review显示文摘Diabetic retinopathy is a predictable effect of diabetes mellitus and is classified as a microvascular disease. The treatment of diabetic retinopathy is complex and challenging.Vascular endothelial growth factor therapy has demonstrated significant clinical improvement in visual outcomes. However, many patients fail to achieve visual improvement, necessitating the development of modern treatment techniques. Some experiments suggest that inflammation and retinal neurodegeneration may contribute to retinal damage in the early stages of diabetic retinopathy. This review aims to explore the current and emerging treatment options and pathophysiology of diabetic retinopathy.Saswat Swarup Badapanda Kamal Nabi Imanshu Deepika Bhatia 2023Aging Communications2023,5,2:0
3Phytochemistry and ethnomedicinal qualities of metabolites from Phyllanthus emblica L.:A review显示文摘Phyllanthus emblica or Indian gooseberry is an integrated part of Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicines. For several decades, the well-known ancient herb has been extensively utilized in traditional medicine to cure diseases like fever, diabetes, constipation, jaundice, ulcers, biliousness, anemia, anorexia, and dyspepsia. In the traditional system,Indian gooseberry has various ethnomedicinal applications. In the Ayurvedic system, different methods of administration(anupan)have shown different ethnomedicinal properties of Indian gooseberry.Seventy well-known chemical components in Indian gooseberry have been identified through phytochemical evaluation, among which the flavonoids and phenols are most prominent. From the toxicity perspective,it is considered a safe herb in India, and is taken as a food supplement in European countries. The wide-spectrum pharmacological activities of the crude extracts and isolates of Indian gooseberry are attributed to the predominance of phenols and flavonoids. Thus,it is important to study the exact mechanism of the activity of the phytochemicals in Indian gooseberry, especially in anti-cancer activities.Extract of Indian gooseberry enhances proliferation in several cancer cells in vitro, including stem cells like ovarian cancer(OC)cells, and also has been observed to possess anti-proliferative characteristics in vivo. This review intends to explore the therapeutic potential of Indian gooseberry based on scientific reports and attempts to find the gaps for future research.VIJAY KUMAR PRAVEEN C.RAMAMURTHY SIMRANJEET SINGH DALJEET SINGH DHANJAL PARUL PARIHAR DEEPIKA BHATIA RAM PRASAD JOGINDER SINGH 2023BIOCELL2023,47,5:0
