1Boron neutron capture therapy for malignant melanoma: first clinical case report in China显示文摘A phase Ⅰ/Ⅱ clinical trial for treating malignant melanoma by boron neutron capture therapy(BNCT) was designed to evaluate whether the world's first in-hospital neutron irradiator(IHNI) was qualified for BNCT. In this clinical trial planning to enroll 30 patients, the first case was treated on August 19, 2014. We present the protocol of this clinical trial, the treating procedure, and the clinical outcome of this first case. Only grade 2 acute radiation injury was observed during the first four weeks after BNCT and the injury healed after treatment. No late radiation injury was found during the 24-month follow-up. 5Effective and selective adsorption of uranyl ions by porous polyethylenimine-functionalized carboxylated chitosan/oxidized activated charcoal composite显示文摘Composite materials have elicited much interest because of their superior performance in the removal of toxic and radioactive uranyl ions from aqueous solutions.With polyethyleneimine as a functional group,carboxylated chitosan as a matrix,and oxidizing activated carbon as a nanofiller,this study synthesized a novel environment-friendly polyethylenimine-functionalized carboxylated chitosan/oxidized activated charcoal(PCO)biocomposite with a unique three-dimensional porous structure.PCO was synthesized through an easy chemical cross-linking method.Detailed characterization certified the formation of the unique three-dimensional porous structure.The obtained PCO was used to remove uranyl ions from an aqueous solution,demonstrating the maximum adsorption capacity of 450 mg·g^(−1).The adsorption capacity of PCO decreased by less than 7.51%after five adsorption-desorption cycles.PCO exhibited good adsorption selectivity(K_(d)=3.45×10^(4) mL·g^(−1))for uranyl ions.The adsorption mechanism of PCO was also discussed.The material showed good potential for application in the treatment of wastewater containing uranyl ions.Juan Shen Fang Cao Siqi Liu Congjun Wang Rigui Chen Ke Chen 2022Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2022,16,3:1

11A Novel Method to Enhance the Inversion Speed and Precision of the NMR T_(2) Spectrum by the TSVD Based Linearized Bregman Iteration显示文摘The low-field nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)technique has been used to probe the pore size distribution and the fluid composition in geophysical prospecting and related fields.However,the speed and accuracy of the existing numerical inversion methods are still challenging due to the ill-posed nature of the first kind Fredholm integral equation and the contamination of the noises.This paper proposes a novel inversion algorithmto accelerate the convergence and enhance the precision using empirical truncated singular value decompositions(TSVD)and the linearized Bregman iteration.The L1 penalty term is applied to construct the objective function,and then the linearized Bregman iteration is utilized to obtain fast convergence.To reduce the complexity of the computation,empirical TSVD is proposed to compress the kernel matrix and determine the appropriate truncated position.This novel inversion method is validated using numerical simulations.The results indicate that the proposed novel method is significantly efficient and can achieve quick and effective data solutions with low signal-to-noise ratios.Yiguo Chen Congjun Feng Yonghong He Zhijun Chen Xiaowei Fan Chao Wang Xinmin Ge 2023Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2023,,9:0
12Machine Learning-Based Decision-Making Mechanism for Risk Assessment of Cardiovascular Disease显示文摘Cardiovascular disease(CVD)has gradually become one of the main causes of harm to the life and health of residents.Exploring the influencing factors and risk assessment methods of CVD has become a general trend.In this paper,a machine learning-based decision-making mechanism for risk assessment of CVD is designed.In this mechanism,the logistics regression analysismethod and factor analysismodel are used to select age,obesity degree,blood pressure,blood fat,blood sugar,smoking status,drinking status,and exercise status as the main pathogenic factors of CVD,and an index systemof risk assessment for CVD is established.Then,a two-stage model combining K-means cluster analysis and random forest(RF)is proposed to evaluate and predict the risk of CVD,and the predicted results are compared with the methods of Bayesian discrimination,K-means cluster analysis and RF.The results show that thepredictioneffect of theproposedtwo-stagemodel is better than that of the comparedmethods.Moreover,several suggestions for the government,the medical industry and the public are provided based on the research results.Cheng Wang Haoran Zhu Congjun Rao 2024Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2024,138,1:0
