1新加坡最大回用水处理厂污水短程硝化厌氧氨氧化脱氮工艺显示文摘总结了新加坡樟宜回用水处理厂4次采样的结果,该厂日处理城市污水80万t.在好氧区很好地实现了部分硝化和亚硝酸盐积累,其中好氧氨氧化率平均为72.2%,亚硝酸盐积累率平均为76.0%.在缺氧区氨氮和亚硝酸盐得到了同步去除(厌氧氨氧化).物料衡算结果表明:初沉池的出水总氮的37.5%是通过自养脱氮去除,27.1%是通过传统的硝化/反硝化脱氮去除,其余部分总氮则存在于活性污泥和出水中.微生物和动力学研究表明:短悬浮或游离的厌氧氨氧化菌可存在于污泥龄较短的污水处理系统.最后从出水氮质量浓度、pH、碱度、曝气能耗及反应器容积等方面,将樟宜回用水处理厂的分段进水活性污泥法工艺与新加坡其他3个回用水处理厂的MEL/LE工艺进行了对比分析.Cao Yeshi Kwok Bee Hong Yan Zhou Yu Liu He Jianzhong Chua Seng Chye Wah Yuen Long Yahya Ghani 2015北京工业大学学报2015,41,10:32

3Recurrent surgical site infection after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction: A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Surgical site infections following anterior cruciate ligament(ACL)reconstruction are an uncommon but potentially devastating complication.In this study,we present an unusual case of recurrent infection of the knee after an ACL reconstruction,and discuss the importance of accurate diagnosis and appropriate management,including the issue of graft preservation versus removal.CASE SUMMARY A 33-year-old gentleman underwent ACL reconstruction using a hamstring tendon autograft with suspensory Endobutton fixation to the distal femur and an interference screw fixation to the proximal tibia.Four years after ACL reconstruction,he developed an abscess over the proximal tibia and underwent incision and drainage.Remnant suture material was found at the base of the abscess and was removed.Five years later,he re-presented with a lateral distal thigh abscess that encroached the femoral tunnel.He underwent incision and drainage of the abscess which was later complicated by a chronic discharging sinus.Repeated magnetic resonance imaging revealed a fistulous communication between the lateral thigh wound extending toward the femoral tunnel with suggestion of osteomyelitis.Decision was made for a second surgery and the patient was counselled about the need for graft removal should there be intraarticular involvement.Knee arthroscopy revealed the graft to be intact with no evidence of intra-articular involvement.As such,the decision was made to retain the ACL graft.Re-debridement,excision of the sinus tract and removal of Endobutton was also performed in the same setting.Joint fluid cultures did not grow bacteria.However,tissue cultures from the femoral tunnel abscess grew Enterobacter cloacae complex,similar to what grew in tissue cultures from the tibial abscess five years earlier.In view of the recurrent and indolent nature of the infection,antibiotic therapy was escalated from Clindamycin to Ertapenem.He completed a six-week course of intravenous antibiotics and has been well for six months since surgery,with excellent knee function and no evidence of any further infection.CONCLUSION Prompt and accurate diagnosis of surgical site infection following ACL reconstruction,including the exclusion of intra-articular involvement,is important for timely and appropriate treatment.Arthroscopic debridement and removal of implant with graft preservation,together with a course of antibiotics,is a suitable treatment option for extra-articular knee infections following ACL reconstruction.Don Koh Shi Ming Tan Andrew Hwee Chye Tan 2019World Journal of Orthopedics2019,10,6:5

5An experimental study on shock wave mitigation capability of polyurea and shear thickening fluid based suspension pads显示文摘The present experimental study investigates shock wave mitigation capability of potentially new personal protective equipment(PPE) suspension pads made from polyurea and shear thickening fluid(STF).The shock tube test results show that when placed behind Twaron fabric systems with thickness ranging from 2 mm to 18 mm, the replacement of conventional flexible foam pad with STF and STF-infused foam pads with the same thickness of 20 mm greatly reduces the normalized peak pressure(by about 72% for each pad). However, this benefit is partially offset by a large increase in the normalized impulse(by about78% for the STF pad and 131% for the STF-infused foam pad) which may cause the shock wave mitigation performance of these two pads to become less effective. Interestingly, the use of 4 mm thick polyurea pad can greatly reduce the normalized peak pressure and impulse as well(by about 74% and 49%, respectively). These results reveal that among the potentially new suspension pads tested, the polyurea pad displays the best shock wave mitigation performance. 6Study on the hypolipidemic properties of garlic polysaccharide in vitro and in normal mice as well as its dyslipidemia amelioration in type2 diabetes mice显示文摘In the present work,garlic polysaccharide(GP)in lowering lipid based on in vitro and in vivo approaches were investigated.The in vitro studies revealed significant effects of GP on cholesterol,sodium cholate,oil binding,and lipase inhibition.Meanwhile,the liver index in the medium and high dose GP group was significantly lower than the control group in normal mice which relatively corresponded to the modulated effect of intestinal flora.A high dose of GP has markedly reduced the ratio of intestinal Firmicutes to Bacteroidetes and increased the abundance of gut probiotics Akkermansia.Furthermore,the high dose of GP also significantly reduced the levels of triglyceride and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol of diabetic mice indicating that GP could not only prevent hyperlipidemia of metabolic syndrome but also further ameliorate dyslipidemia of diabetes mellitus.This study provides new prospects for garlic polysaccharide as a hypolipidemic nutraceutical for the treatment of metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes.Chanyuan Xie Wei Gao Xue Li Shuangshuang Luo Fook Yee Chye 2022Food Bioscience2022,47,3:3
7Polyunsaturated linolenoyl-Co A modulates ERF-Ⅶ mediated hypoxia signaling in Arabidopsis显示文摘In plants,submergence from flooding causes hypoxia,which impairs energy production and affects plant growth,productivity,and survival.In Arabidopsis,hypoxia induces nuclear localization of the group VII ethylene-responsive transcription factor RELATED TO AP2.12(RAP2.12),following its dissociation from the plasma membrane-anchored ACYL-COA BINDING PRO-TEIN1(ACBP1)and ACBP2.Here,we show that polyunsaturated linolenoyl-Co A(18:3-Co A)regulates RAP2.12release from the plasma membrane.Submergence caused a significant increase in 18:3-Co A,but a significant decrease in 18:0-,18:1-,and 18:2-Co A.Application of 18:3-Co A promoted nuclear accumulation of the green fluorescent protein(GFP)fusions RAP2.12-GFP,HYPOXIA-RESPONSIVE ERF1-GFP,and RAP2.3-GFP,and enhanced transcript levels of hypoxia-responsive genes.Plants with decreased ACBP1 and ACBP2(acbp1 ACBP2-RNAi,produced by ACBP2 RNA interference in the acbp1 mutant)had reduced tolerance to hypoxia and impaired 18:3-Co A-induced expression of hypoxia-related genes.In knockout mutants and overexpression lines of LONG-CHAIN ACYL-COA SYNTHASE2(LACS2)and FATTY ACID DE-SATURASE 3(FAD3),the acyl-Co A pool size and 18:3-Co A levels were closely related to ERF-VII-mediated signaling and hypoxia tolerance.These findings demonstrate that polyunsaturation of long-chain acyl-Co As functions as important mechanism in the regulation of plant hypoxia signaling,by modulating ACBP–ERF-VII dynamics.Ying Zhou Wei-Juan Tan Li-Juan Xie Hua Qi Yi-Cong Yang Li-Ping Huang Yong-Xia Lai Yi-Fang Tan De-Mian Zhou Lu-Jun Yu Qin-Fang Chen Mee-Len Chye Shi Xiao 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,3:2
